“Or else what”, Melaine snapped

“Trust me, you do not want to see what I will do” Zamiel said dangerously.

“Do you know how long I have waited for this moment. A time that I will finally kill you and have a taste of victory”, Melaine smiled and licked her lips.

Zamiel chuckled loudly and faced Melaine.

“Too bad, that is not going to happen because I am to end you and end all these nonsense”, Zamiel said.

“I will like to see you try”Melaine smirked and signalled all the witches to fight against Zamiel and his men

Zamiel smirked and started dividing the witches into two as he continued to advance towards Melaine.

Zamiel looked at Melaine and laughed.

“Is this the best you can do. Sending your minions to fight me. How pathetic”, Zamiel scoffed.

“Don’t be quick to judge, they were only to keep you busy for a while. I will with you personally”, Melaine said and appeared in front of Zamiel.

“Let us get over this once and for all”, Zamiel said and brought out two daggers from his back.

Melaine used dark magic to create a sword that once it slashes Zamiel, his wounds will take time to heal.

“A balmerian sword, is that all you’ve got”, Zamiel scoffed and Melaine immediately slashed his arm with the sword and Zamiel staggered.

“How dare you b**ch”, Zamiel cursed and stood properly.

“Ahhhh”, Zamiel and Melaine said together as they charged towards each other with full force.

Melaine raised her sword to slash Zamiel’s face but Zamiel dodged it and bent over and used his dagger to cut Melaine’s stomach but it only had a small scratch.

Zamiel was shocked and he looked at Melaine. Melaine laughed and looked at Zamiel proudly.

“Your dagger has no effect on my body. Do you think that after all these years, I wouldn’t fortify myself for a day like this. Well this is what it is, am I right”, Melaine laughed again.

Caulder was watching all these as he was fighting with the witches, he went to go and help his master.

“Go back, j will fight this alone”, Zamiel told Caulder without looking at him.

“But master,,,,,”,

“I said go back”, Zamiel interrupted Caulder and continued fighting Melaine.

“This is going to take longer than I imagined”, Zamiel said.

Zamiel’s mother was already crying as she was hearing the sounds of swords from many people.

“Oh God please protect my son. Zamiel please don’t harm yourself. Stay safe for me please”, she cried.

Zamiel was feeling restless because he came for his mother but he has not set his eyes on him yet.

“Are you looking for your mother. Don’t worry, she is somewhere SAFE”, Melaine said emphasizing on the word safe.

“You witch, if anything happens to my mother, I will kill you and burn your corpse”, Zamiel frowned.

“It’s just a matter of time before your lovely mate joins her mother-in-law”, Melaine smirked.

Zamiel got angry and used the dagger to pierce Melaine’s heart.

Although the attack did not have much effect on her but she held her chest and her expression changed into a pained one but she quickly changed it into a smile but that didn’t go unnoticed by Zamiel.

“I think her weak spot is her heart. I have to concentrate more on her heart”, he thought.

“Caulder, look for my mother and rescue her. She should be in one of the rooms”, Zamiel told Caulder through telepathy.

Caulder looked at Zamiel and nodded and left to look for her.

Zamiel was also worried about Audriene, he knows how crazy this witch can be.

“Who knows what is happening to her now”, Zamiel thought.

“Oh God, please bring back Zamiel for me. Don’t let anything happen to him if not I will not forgive myself”, Audriene cried in her room.

Since Zamiel left she has been crying, she even locked herself in the room and the maids have been trying to make her come out and eat but she refused.

“Second young mistress please come out”, one of the maids pleaded.

“I told you people to leave me alone, don’t you understand. What is hard there to get, I said leave me alone,,,,just leave me alone”, Audriene shouted.

The maids sighed and left her alone.

On their way to their quarters, they were hearing the sounds of broken objects and there was commotion everywhere.

“What is going on again”, the elder maid asked.

It was not until a broken glass flew towards their direction that they decided to take cover somewhere.

“We are not here for trouble, just give us your master’s mate and we’ll leave here”, one of the male witches requested.

“And what makes you think you can just walk into our palace and take our master’s mate away”, one of the vampires questioned.

“I will say it for the last time, go and bring your master’s mate out or I will go myself”, the male witch said dangerously.

“Don’t you dare”, the vampire said.

“You leave me with no option”, he said and signalled the remaining witches to take care of the vampires while he left to go and get Audriene.

Audriene was still in her room crying and she was unaware of everything that was going on.

The witch was climbing the stairs but he did not know the room in which Audriene is staying.

He came across those maids and he squeezed one of the maid’s neck and made sure her legs were above the ground.

“Where is your second young mistress room”, the witch asked manipulatively.

“It is the third room on your left”, the maid said pointing towards the direction of the room.

The witch smirked and killed the maid before dropping her on the floor.

The other maids watched this in fright and after the witch left, they all ran away except one who fainted because of what just happened.

The witch got to the room and paused before opening the door but the door did not open.

“I thought I said you should leave me alone”, Audriene yelled but the witch was still trying to open the door and Audriene started panicking.

When the witch saw that he could not use the door handle to open the door because it was locked from inside, he decided to use magic to open it.

Audriene sensed the presence of a foreign being and she slowly looked up and her eyes came in contact with the witch and she screamed.

“Who are you and what are you doing here”, she asked but instead of answering, the witch started moving closer to her.

“I asked a question and why are you coming close”, Audriene said and started shifting backwards on her bed.

“Just behave yourself and come with me”, the witch said.

“No, why should I come with you, I do not know you”, Audriene said already scared.

“You must not know me before you will come with me”, the witch said and used his powers to drag her close to him and disappeared to Melaine’s castle.

Zamiel felt weak after seeing that Melaine has successfully captured his snowflake.

“You see Zamiel, you do not know what I am capable of doing. I told you that I will make you suffer and that includes making all your loved ones suffer”, Melaine smirked.

“Let her go now”, Zamiel commanded

“That is not going to happen”, “take her away”, Melaine said to the witch and he disappeared to a dark room and tied Audriene to a chair and sealed her mouth with a cloth.

Audriene tried to free herself but it was not working.

“I said let her go”, Zamiel dragged his sentence.

“Not happening”, Melaine said

Zamiel was about to use his manipulative powers on her but she sensed he was going to do that and she laughed.

“Don’t you dare try to manipulate me or else, I will make sure your mother and your beloved mate dies”, Melaine threatened.

“Are you threatening me right now”, Zamiel asked with gritted teeth.

“I don’t care whatever you call it, just don’t try to play smart or it is the end for the two of them”, Melaine smiled.

“Young master, I have found your mother”, Caulder said through telepathy.

“That’s great now get her out of that place but don’t take her to the palace, it is not safe there and look for Audriene too”, Zamiel replied.

“Yes master”, Caulder said.

Caulder untied the rope that was holding Zamiel mother’s hands and legs together, after that, he removed the gag from her mouth and teleported her to Zamiel’s safe place.

“My queen please stay here and don’t leave this place”, Caulder pleaded.

She nodded and Caulder turned to leave but she stopped him.

“Please take care of yourself and my son”, she begged and Caulder nodded and disappeared.

“It is done, I’m going to look for young mistress now”, Caulder said through telepathy.

Zamiel nodded and smiled.

“And may I know why you are smiling”, Melaine raised her brows up.

“Nothing”, Zamiel said simply.

A witch came and whispered something into Melaine’s ear and she shouted and glared at Zamiel.

“How dare you”, Melaine asked with anger written all over her face.

“I am always one step ahead of you, don’t you see that”, Zamiel smirked and that angered Melaine the more.

“I will kill you with my own hands”, Melaine said and used her sword to fight Zamiel.

Zamiel smirked and used his dagger to stab Melaine.

He was aiming for her heart but she kept on using all parts of her body to defend it so that she can protect her heart.

“Why does he keep aiming at my heart”, Melaine thought.

“Or has he discovered that my heart is my weak spot already?. No, that can not be”, Melaine shuddered at the thought of Zamiel knowing her weak spot.

Viona came back but met everywhere destroyed and nobody was at the entrance to welcome her.

“What the hell happened here” Viona said.

“Audriene, Zamiel, Mother, I’m home already”, Viona shouted but nobody heard her.

“Is anyone at home”, she shouted again still no response.

“Something is wrong”, Viona said and looked around.

“This place is a mess, I wonder why the maids did not clean it up”, she thought.

Viona climbed the stairs to look for everyone but each room she opens, she finds no one.

Viona became scared and she started running up and down, checking all the rooms in the palace but she did not see anyone.

She decided to check all the hidden places and she only saw one maid shaking.

“Tricia”, Viona called and she looked at Viona and immediately jumped to hug her.

“Are they gone”, Tricia asked crying.

“Who are you talking about”, Viona was confused.

“Some witches came here to attack the palace and they left with young mistress”, Tricia said sobbing.

“What”, Viona shouted with her eyes widened.

“What about my brother”, Viona asked.

“He went to confront Melaine after they kidnapped the queen”, Tricia said.

“You mean that witch kidnapped my mother”, Viona asked and Tricia nodded.

Viona wanted to go to the Melaine’s kingdom but she had no idea on where the kingdom is located and it is only her brother and his men that knows where the kingdom is.

Viona sat on the floor and started crying because she could not do anything to help.

“Stop crying first young mistress, don’t worry, they will come back alive”, Tricia comforted the crying Viona.

Melaine and Zamiel were still fighting relentlessly, none of them was ready to surrender.

“Just surrender and have a simple death”, Zamiel said

“Never”, Melaine said firmly.

They kept on fighting, Melaine keeps on using her sword to slash Zamiel’s body while Zamiel kept on aiming for her heart.

After many hours of the long battle, Melaine was about to bury her sword in Zamiel’s chest but Zamiel was quick enough to bend down and he pierced Melaine’s heart deeply with his dagger.

Melaine looked at her chest and looked at Zamiel with hatred and tears in her eyes.

“You,,,,”, Melaine could not finish talking because she started spitting blood.

“I told you I will win and end this once and for all”, Zamiel smirked.

Melaine wanted to talk but she couldn’t, she just kept on coughing out blood and after a few minutes, her body stopped moving and Zamiel confirmed her dead.

Just then, Caulder came out with Audriene.

Audriene and Zamiel’s eyes met and they ran to hug each other.

They hugged themselves tightly as if they would die if they let go.

“We did it snowflake, we did it. She is finally dead, we are free”, Zamiel said happily.

“I’m proud of you”, Audriene smiled and cupped his cheeks and kissed him passionately.

The kiss was a very intense one, they sucked and devoured on each other’s lips like it was a sweet candy.

Tears started falling from Audriene’s eyes and Zamiel felt his hand wet and he pulled away from the kiss and looked at Audriene.

“This is not the time to cry, so don’t cry. It breaks my heart to see you cry”, Zamiel said and wiped away her tears.

“Come on, let’s go back to the palace”, Zamiel held her hand and they teleported back to the palace.

Viona was still sitting on the floor and crying.

When Zamiel and Audriene appeared, she did not know.

“Look who is a cry baby”, Zamiel smiled and Viona turned and smiled.

“Brother”, Viona said more of a whisper and she stood up and started walking slowly.

“Brother, is it really you”, Viona asked.

“Yes it is me”, Zamiel smiled and Viona rushed to hug him.

“Do you know how worried I was. Look at what she did to you, I hope she is dead”, Viona said with so much anger.

“She is dead, your brother killed her”, Audriene said smiling and Viona hugged her too.

“Where is mother, why is she not here with you”, Viona asked.

“Oh, she will be here soon”, Zamiel assured her.

“Okay. Come brother, let me use my magic to heal your wounds”, Viona said and Zamiel nodded.

Viona was chanting some spells and the wounds started covering up

“I have closed the wounds but it will take time to heal. She used her more powerful sword”, Viona said.

“My children”, the queen said and they all turned back and saw their mother.

“Mum”, Viona ran to hug her while Zamiel smiled.

“Viona, let go of me or I will die from the way you are hugging me”, the queen said and Viona quickly stopped.

Zamiel walked to his mother and hugged her too.

“I’m so proud of you son”, the queen said still hugging Zamiel.

Viona was jealous and the queen laughed and signalled her to join.

Viona joined happily.

“Audriene, come and join us”, Viona requested and Audriene joined too.
