MATED TO A VAMPIRE - EPISODE 2

EVERGREEN HIGH SCHOOL

“Hey, Audriene, what’s up”, Clara asked;”I’m fine”, I replied. “Any plans for graduation”,she said and I rolled my eyes,”plans like what?”, I asked, “come on, like going to hangout, I mean all our classmates are hanging out after we graduate”, Clara said. “That doesn’t sound like a good idea”,I replied and she laughed.

“Why are you laughing, nothing ain’t funny”, I said and she stopped “what’s there to be scared about, we are only going to have fun”, she said *but I don’t want to go” I insisted and she pouted her lips and begged me;”please, okay for my sake”, she pleaded and I sighed. “Okay fine I’ll come” I said and she hugged me tight and said “I knew you would answer”.

IN THE WITCHES KINGDOM

“Nooo”, Melaine screamed as she felt a sharp pain in her chest signifying that Lord Zamiel has had an encounter with his mate. “I must not let them marry each other, Zamiel must suffer, he must pay, he must never be happy”, Melaine cursed.

Zamiel is the reason she doesn’t have a mate because of the scar he created on her face when he burnt her whole family thousands of years ago and that made her ugly.

Melaine went into hiding because of the humiliation and suffering she went through and no man wanted to marry her. So she created her army to rebel against the witches for what they did to her.

But Melaine’s primary goal is to kill Lord Zamiel, even though she knows it’s not possible but he’s the reason she went through hell and all these wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t do what he did years ago.

Melaine coughed and spat out blood as a sign that she is dying. Witches do not have a very long life span unlike vampires. She knew she needed to act fast and complete her revenge before she dies.

REDMAINE’S MANSION

“I thought you said when I’m twenty mum, then why are you doing this”,I shouted;”don’t you dare raise your voice on me young lady and yes, I said when you are twenty, you will get married but you are only getting engaged so that people will know that you are taken”, she said sternly.

“No mum, over my dead body will I marry Arnold”, I said with my voice cracking as a sign that I will break down any moment. “Really, then let’s watch and see, the earlier you realize you are getting married the better for you” she said and left me in the sitting room.

I didn’t know when I started crying, I felt like the world has stopped but I had to accept my fate. My parents rang snapping me out of my thoughts. I checked and saw that it’s Kim. I picked up the call but I didn’t say anything.

“Hey girl, what’s up with you, why aren’t you saying anything”, Kim asked worriedly. “She….. I’m getting…sobs… engaged on my… sobs… birthday”, I replied sobbing in between my reply.

“Are you kidding me”,Kim screamed from the other side of the phone.” Kim calm down, I have to do it, I don’t have any other option” I said dejectedly.” Come on Audriene, you don’t have to do this, I mean we can look for another way”Kim said. “There’s no other way, this is the end of the road”, I said and hung up the call and resumed my crying.

IN THE VAMPIRE’S KINGDOM

“What’s this strange feeling, why am I feeling sad”, Zamiel asked himself and be tried to know what’s in Audriene’s mind and he saw how hurt she was feeling. He felt bad but it wouldn’t be right if he goes there. Zamiel tried to fight the urge to go there and console her but at least he gave up and went to meet her.

REDMAINE’S MANSION

While I was crying, I felt a gentle breeze around me, which is unusual and I looked around only to find a man sitting on a chair near my bed. I almost screamed but he suddenly appeared in my front and closed my mouth.

“How did he do that”I thought to myself. I looked at his eyes and found it somehow familiar but shrugged it off. “Who are you and what are you doing here” I asked

He smirked and said “who I am, you don’t need to know for now and I’m here to stop you from crying because you are disturbing my peace”. “What does he mean by disturbing his peace” I thought. As if he heard my thoughts, “stop thinking too much and stop crying because it won’t change anything” he said firmly but in a gentle yet soothing manner and I stopped crying

I wanted to ask him something but he vanished. “Huh, where did he go” I said searching around for him but I couldn’t see him anywhere.
