LIAM’S HOUSE

Liam kept on rolling on his bed for God knows how long. He was smiling foolishly while staring at his phone contemplating if he should Lily.

After a long debate between his mind and his body. His body won and he called Lily.

She picked up at the second ring. “Wow, so fast”, Liam said to himself.

“Hello, who is this”, she said from the other side.

“It’s the guy you gave your number to earlier”, Liam said.

“Oh, it’s you, what is that your name again”, she asked.

“The name is Liam”, Liam repeated twice so that she will get it.

“Okay… so why did you call”, she asked and I became short of words.

Actually I have no reason for calling. I just felt it was right calling her. So I looked for a lie to tell her.

“I wanted to know if you will be free by next weekend. If so, I want us to hangout if that is cool with you”, Liam said unsure of what her answer will be.

“I don’t know if I’ll be free but I will definitely make time next weekend but I’m not promising”, She said.

“Don’t worry, it’s cool. Just let me know whenever you are free”, Liam said.

“Okay sure I will. Bye”, she said and hung up.

“Bye”, Liam muttered to himself grinning. But his moment was disturbed when he heard his mum’s face.

“Liam why are you smiling. Did you win a lottery or what because you have not smiled since you and Audriene separated” my mum asked.

Immediately I heard Audriene’s name, I became worried. In two days time she will be getting engaged to that womanizer.

But I have already told myself that I will make myself present on her birthday at least to support her. That’s the highest I can do since we can’t be together.

“Well mum, I didn’t win any lottery and is it a crime to smile”, Liam replied his mum.

His mum moved near him to check his temperature and saw it was normal.

“Your temperature is not high and you look fine to me. So what could probably be the problem. Or are you going mad”, my mum asked.

I released a very hearty laughter. I don’t know when last I laughed like that since I broke up with Audriene.

“Well mum, so that you know, I’m not going mad and I’m perfectly okay so you don’t need to bother yourself” I said smiling.

“Okay if you say so. Well I came to tell you that the food is ready so come downstairs on time so that the food won’t get cold”, my mum said and left.

When Liam’s mum was going downstairs, she couldn’t help but smile. She is happy her son has moved on. At a point she thought he will never love and smile again.

When he broke up with Audriene, he never came out of his room, he never ate food, he never laughed and he was always sad but he is improving these days and she’s happy.

ZAMIEL’S MANSION

“Brother please pardon my mistakes. I know I was wrong to have disobeyed you but I’m sorry and I have realized my mistakes and I will never disobey you again”, Viona said crying.

She has being crying for about an hour and Zamiel was worried she will become sick but he doesn’t want to give in to her offer so quickly so that she will learn her lesson.

When he saw she has finally learned her lesson he decided to forgive her and let her stay.

“It’s okay Viona stop crying, I have forgiven you just promise me that whenever I tell you something, you will listen to me and won’t do otherwise”, Zamiel said.

Viona nodded multiple times and cleaned her tears. “Yes brother, I promise never to disobey you”, she said and hugged her brother who in return reciprocated it.

She ran to give the good news to Caulder. She decided to surprise him. When she got to his room, she knocked. He opened the door at one knock and was shocked to see Viona.

He came outside shirtless and Viona was lost staring at him. She knew he had a good body physique but she never in a million imagined that it will be as good as this.

“Hey Viona are you still there”, Caulder snapped her out of her thoughts.

“Uh.. yes yes I am still here. Can we talk inside your room”, Viona said.

“O.. okay”, Caulder stammered. When he turned his back Viona saw some marks on his body.

She couldn’t help but use her fingers to trace it unconsciously. Caulder turned back and held her hand to stop her.

“What are you doing”, Caulder asked but instead of answering Viona kept on looking at the marks.

“Does it hurt”, Viona asked out of the blue and Caulder shook his head. “It was in the past before your brother, Lord Zamiel saved me and that is why I will forever be indebted to him”, he said.

“So why are you here”, Caulder changed the topic because he was feeling uncomfortable.

“Well my brother has forgiven me and allowed me to stay”, she said happily.

“Are you serious”, Caulder asked and Viona nodded.

“Wow, this is good news”, Caulder said hugging Viona. They stayed like that for a while and they later disengaged from the hug.

“Well, Lord Zamiel’s mate birthday is in two days and he will be bringing her here that day” Caulder said.

“Really. I can’t wait to see her, she has really changed my brother he now smiles to himself unconsciously”, Viona said smiling.

IN A COFFEE SHOP

“So all these happened and you are just telling me”, Kim yelled and I started itching my hair.

“Well I wanted to tell you about it but you know, circumstances”, Audriene said.

“You could have said it irrespective of anything. So you mean he will take you away soon. I will miss you”, Kim said sadly.

“Not like I’m going to disappear. But what I don’t understand is what type of creature is he. He can appear in my dreams, he can teleport, read minds and other creepy things”, Audriene said worriedly.

“Don’t bother yourself. As far as you will be with someone you love then I’m okay”, Kim said and Audriene smiled.

“Girl your birthday is tomorrow, any plans. You are going to be engaged to Arnold. I hope you are prepared”, Kim asked

Audriene smiled sadly. “Not like I have any other option”, she said but was praying in heart, she prayed for her Mr. perfect to save her.

She calls him, “Mr. perfect”, because he refused to tell her his name.

WINSTON’S MANSION

“Mum, there is still time, you can cancel that engaged. It’s obvious we don’t love each other so this marriage won’t work”, Arnold said.

“Sorry son we can’t cancel what has already been planned since you were born. And if you are worried about love, don’t worry, it will come with time”, His mum replied.

“I have tried my best to talk you and Dad out of this but you are not listening. If anything happens in the future, don’t blame me”, Arnold said and left.

UNKNOWN

“Don’t worry, everything is ready”, a guy said on the phone.

“If you say, but just remember that I hate an incomplete job. Just Kidnap her and keep her in a room, I’ll kill her myself” a woman said from the other end of the phone.

“Sure boss”, the guy said. “You will receive the part payment for the job and until you complete it, you won’t get the other part. Just don’t fuck me up” the woman said and cut the call.

CLARA’S HOUSE

Clara cut the call and started laughing. She was sure that this place will work because people will be crowded and there will be no one to save her.

She opened a bottle of wine and started drinking it still laughing and talking to herself.

“Cheers to a flawless plan and cheers to Audriene’s death in advance”, Clara said loudly to herself.

She went to pick the clothes she will wear for tomorrow’s occasion. She needs to look elegant because her so called friend will die on her birthday.

Finally the most awaited day came, a lot of dignatories were present including people from the aristocratic families and the Vice president. They were all there to witness the coming together of the Winston and Redmaine’s families.

AUDRIENE’S BEDROOM

“I guess a lot of people really want to witness today’s event. I feel disgusted and sad today”, Audriene said.

“Don’t have such negative vibes today. Today is your birthday, you have to be positive about things today”, Kim said looking at Audriene through the mirror.

“Do I look okay in this”, Audriene asked nervous and Kim smiled.

“You look delicious, people are gonna trip for you today even Arnold will be surprised”, Kim said.

Audriene was putting on a black long dress with a deep V neck exposing her back. She was on make up that brought out her beauty the more and she wore a matching black heels.

“It’s time to go”, Kim said and Audriene nodded.

Kim escorted her to the entrance of the place where the event willill take place. When she got to the entrance, her mum hugged her in tears.

“My little girl is getting engaged. Time travels so fast”, Mrs Redmaine said but Audriene scoffed under her breath but quickly replaced it with a smile.

She walked and sat near Arnold who was putting on a blank face. Shewas even shocked to see him.

“Why that long face not like you were the only one forced into this. If you don’t want to smile at least do this for the crowd”, k said and he scoffed but surprisingly he listened to me.

After the cutting of cake the M.C said it is time for everyone to dance. At first, it was a slow dance and everyone will dance with their partners. And I and Arnold were at the center since we were the reason for the gathering.

It was weird dancing with me, with his hands on my waist while mine rested on his shoulders and we gave each other eye contact just to look natural. He was just so good at dancing, then I remembered he’s a player. How won’t he know all these things.

Immediately we heard the fast music and saw everyone coming together we immediately disengaged and left to our separate ways.

I went and danced with Kim, we played and talked happily. Then I danced with Osiris while Kim danced with my brother.

Kim was blushing at every word my brother says and Osiris was using one corner of his eyes to look at them. He felt the urge to punch Bruno on his face if not because people were present.

Then I danced with my brother, he asked if I was happy with the engagement and I replied honestly knowing fully well that he can’t do anything.

Lastly I danced with my mum, She kept on preach to me but I wasn’t paying any attention. After all she’s the reason all these things are happening. She doesn’t even care if I love him or not, she didn’t even care about my happiness.

As all these things were going on, I sighted Liam dancing alone. I felt happy seeing him so I went to meet him.

“Hey”, I said nervously. “Hey”, he replied partially drunk. “I’m surprised to see you, I thought you wouldn’t come but seeing you here makes me happy”, I said.

“I decided it will be good if I come at least this is the highest I can do for you knowing that I might not see you again”, Liam said sadly.

I was about to reply when someone spilled drink on my clothes and I turned to look for the person but I couldn’t find the person.

Clara showed up from nowhere and decided to offer me one of her dresses since she came with a spare.

I followed her to the restroom and immediately I entered, some guys came and took me away. I struggled to run away but I couldn’t.

I gave up when I knew it was impossible. They took me to a secluded place in my mansion where nobody can find me.

I have never even been here before, so how did they get to know about this place.

They tied me up and covered my mouth. “Boss, we are true with it, we have tied her up, where is our remaining balance”, the guy asked.

“So he is working under instructions”, I thought to myself. Later on the guy hung up and looked at me one more time before leaving the room.

I started crying and I couldn’t shout for help but it was not possible since my mouth was taped.

The door opened and I saw Clara, I stopped crying and had a little hope that I will be saved but the hope was shattered when she laughed at me and pulled my hair.

“Do you know how long it me to finally do this. I have always wanted you to die and now I have the chance, I’m gonna kill you”, Clara said full of hatred and removed the tape from my mouth.

“Why are you doing this”, I managed to mutter weakly and Clara laughed.

“Why am I doing this, you say. I am doing this because I detest you. You have done nothing but take everything away from me. All the guys have always admired you and not me. People always look at you but no one looks at me and you are asking me why I’m doing this” Clara said.

“I thought we were friends”, Audriene said already in tears.

“You really don’t know me do you. I was responsible for drugging your drink in the club that night so that Paul will rape you and post the picture online but it failed. When I invited you to my house to apologise, I poisoned your drink so that you will die in minutes but all that failed. And now I’m responsible for this, you are gonna meet your doom today”, Clara said and laughed.

BACK AT THE EVENT

Zamiel entered the event and was looking for Audriene but she was nowhere to be found.

“Oh Audriene, where are you”, Zamiel asked himself.

He checked every room in the mansion but he could not find her. He became so worried and almost broke down but he heard a strange noise coming from one room.

I got there in a second and opened the door, I wanted to pass through the door but I didn’t want to scare her.

When he opened the door, The next thing he saw got him madly angry. His eyes changed colour from grey to red. His horns came out,his fangs elongated and his nails grew long. He was ready to kill anyone’s that time.

Clara turned and she was very terrified. “Please don’t kill me I beg you”, Clara begged but it fell on deaf ears.

Zamiel grabbed her on her neck by just motioning his fingers and he threw he to the other side of the room. Her body hit the wall and she became unconscious. Zamiel went to where Audriene was and carried her away and teleported to his mansion.
