Sherry pursed her lips tightly to hold back her urge to slap John with the handkerchief. Instead, she took it, brought it out to the trash, and then returned to Celine’s side.

However, less than two minutes later, John dropped a fork and looked expectantly at her. Sherry was looking elsewhere and pretended not to hear the fork falling

He smirked. “Bring me another fork.”

Sherry rolled her eyes. She brought him another one from the kitchen, put it in front of him, and returned to Celine’s side. A few minutes later, he dropped his spoon. He looked at her expectantly again, and Sherry looked up at the ceiling. “Grab me a spoon.”

Sherry inhaled deeply to calm her annoyance and brought him another spoon.

Just when she thought nothing else would happen and she could finally get off work, he dropped something else. The living room fell into silence.

Even Shannon stopped eating and looked at him with a

complicated expression.

John looked at Sherry with a mischievous grin.

Sherry grunted. “Are you doing this on purpose, you bastard?!”

Celine widened her eyes in shock when she heard Sherry call John a bastard.

The man, however, did not reveal any anger. His lips remained curled, even spreading wider. It felt like he enjoyed Sherry calling him a bastard. Shannon frowned . Anxiety and jealousy flashed across her face.

John then said, “Don’t you want dinner?” “If I’m not getting it, 1-” “And breakfast?”

Sherry was forced to swallow her words. She glared at him fiercely and then went to the kitchen for a new spoon. She practically slammed it on the table in front of him.

John picked up the spoon and scooped a piece of egg onto Shannon‘s plate.

Shannon immediately concealed her emotions with a sweet smile. “Thank you, John.”

“You’re welcome.” He then put the spoon down and continued eating with the fork. He did not order Sherry around after that, and things plunged into silence.

Sherry could not stop drooling as she stared at the table of food.

John was done eating after a while. He picked up a clean handkerchief and cleaned his mouth. Shannon finished eating as well. “John, are you done?”

“Yeah. I’m going to the study to do something. You can rest.” He then got up and headed to the study room.

Shannon furrowed her brows. She then turned to Sherry and saw her staring at the feast on the table, which the two of them had not finished.

Sherry was thinking of sneaking some steak or whatever leftovers when she cleaned up the table with Celine. Just when the thought rushed to her head, the man‘s heavy and charming voice said, “Sherry, come with me.” John turned around before he went upstairs.
