This struck a nerve in Shannon and she glared at Sherry. Sherry smiled coyly, “Oh yeah, he gave me two choicesactually. | had to either be his lover or his housemaid.” Shannon’s expression darkened.

Sherry seemed to see some humor in this and said, “The truth is that you disgust me but | couldn’t go against my principles, so | ended up choosing thesecond option.” “Sherry…” Shannon gnashed her teeth so hard that she would grind them into powder if she continued.

Sherry continued chuckling, “Don’t look at me like that, you Fowlers are the reason that | ended up here in the first place.” Something seemed to shiftinside Shannon upon hearing this but she continued to regard Sherry with a look of contempt.

Sherry was aware of this as well.

She had never intended to gain Shannon’s sympathy by telling her that she had ended up in her current state due to her sacrificing herself for the Fowlers.

She was not that naive.

She went on, “Having said that, we all know how unpredictable your dear John is. Now that I’m stuck here, who knows if he’s going to barge in here one ofthese days and force himself on me? There’s no way | can fight him off so don’t blame me if I somehow end up becoming the mistress and somehow get in between the two of you.” Shannon was enraged by this claim, “I promise you that you’ll have a fate worse than death if you ever do something like that with him!” “Well, you should tell him that instead, not me. For me, | am repulsed by the sheer idea of him touching me at all.” Sherryrolled her eyes to further prove her point.

Shannon was speechless.

Sherry continued , “Of course, there are options. If you could help me pay back the eight hundred million, John will let me go and you wouldn’t ever have to see me again. That means that you wouldn’t have to worry about me ever again either.” Shannon snapped, “I don’t have that much money.”

“Ask your parents for it.” Shannon was still rather hesitant.

Sherry sneered, “Look, you guys are the ones who owe him the eight hundred million, which is essentially the same thingas owing me the money.

If you can settle the debt, I’ll leave. If not, I’ll stay here, it’s that simple.

To be honest with you, | have no problems staying here since there’s good accommodation and food, | don’t mind being by myself either but as for you…you’d better figure out how you can keep John faithful to you.”

Shannon gritted his teeth and glared at Sherry contemptuously before walking away. “Wait a minute.” Sherry called after her.

Shannon glared back at her and growled irritably, “What else?” Sherry smiled rather amiably, “There’s something | have to return to you.

Wait just a moment.” Shannon tried to conceal the curiosity that had been spurred inside her. Sherry quickly dashed into the bathroom and looked around for something she could use. She quickly spotted a large bucket filled with water.

She picked up the bucket and walked out.

Shannon was just heading to the room as well to see what Sherry was up to.

Sherry snickered mischievously the moment she saw her approaching.

Then, she splashed the entire contents of the bucket at Shannon.

Splash! Shannon was drenched from head to toe in water, and the expensive clothes she was wearing were completely ruined. She closed her eyes and screamed, “Sherry—!!” Bang! Before she could finish, Sherry threw the bucketover her head.

She was greatly amused by this and burst out into laughter, “Hahahahah!!” Hilarious!

Shannon looked like she had just come out of a comedy show with abucket over her head! While she was still doubled over with laughter, the door was suddenly flung open.

Sherry was startled by this and turned to see who it was.

Atall man dressed in a tailored suit walked in.
