“You have an amazing memory!” Erin couldn’t help but praise Roman with admiration. It was impressive that someone as famous as him paid attention to the details of these minor roles. He was truly dedicated! The entertainment industry now had newcomers who only looked pretty but lacked acting skills and were arrogant. Roman was truly an exemplary figure in the film Industry.

Erin’s heartfelt praise brought Roman a trace of pleasure. He casually said, “It’s nothing. As an actor, if you can’t remember your lines, it will greatly affect your performance and the progress of filming. It will also have an impact on your co–actors.”

“I’m learning so much from you, Roman.”

He glanced at her. “You are a complete newcomer now, and there is still much to learn in acting. Let’s take it step by step.”

Just like that, Roman agreed to help her. Until he personally witnessed Erin’s acting, no matter how much he believed in her, he would still remain worried.

Roman and Erin sat on the sofa and talked about acting for a while. Soon, the male makeup artist, Donny, returned to the dressing room.

“Mr. Blair, if you’re ready, let’s touch up your makeup. After shooting the next scene, we’ll need to change costumes, and there will be

significant changes to the makeup. Donny opened his makeup box as he spoke.

Erin immediately said, “Roman, you go ahead and do your makeup. I’ll go eat something. I’m a bit tired of the boxed meals from the crew.

I’ll go to the snack street outside the studio and have some grilled skewers!”

Roman felt a twinge of loneliness in his heart. Right then, he unexpectedly wanted to go eat skewers with her, but he had a scene to shoot.

He chuckled. “If it’s convenient for you, could you bring back some lamb skewers for me? I’m craving them now that you brought them up.”

“No problem, Mr. Blair! If there’s any errand you need to run in the future, just ask me to do it! If I really get an acting role, I’ll have many questions to ask you in regard to acting!” Her eyes sparkled like the stars when she smiled.

Even the makeup artist, Donny, who was standing nearby, squinted his eyes and said, “Mr. Blair, if this girl really starts acting. I’m afraid

she will keep a lot of male fans awake at night

Roman glanced at Donny but didn’t say anything. He turned to Erin and said, “Silly girl, I don’t need you to deliberately flatter me. Feel free to ask me any questions about acting. Take care of yourself, or you can ask Ken to accompany you, okay?”

Erin lifted her white envelope bag from the sofa and said in a relaxed manner, “No need for that. I’m just buying a few skewers. Stay tuned for your lamb skewers!”

She had barely taken a few steps when she suddenly turned around and asked, “Roman, do you want your lamb skewers to be spicy?”

Erin’s serious expression made Roman want to laugh. After contemplating for two seconds, he replied, “Yes, make it spicy, please.”

As soon as she left, Donny couldn’t help but comment, “Mr. Blair, you really treat Miss Lane differently.”

Roman instantly retracted his gaze from the door as he said seriously, “Is that so?”

Donny nodded with understanding. “Just from the way you look at her-”

“Donny, let’s do the touch–up quickly and not keep the crew waiting for too long.”

Roman deliberately avoided the topic, and his old friend, Donny, understood that he didn’t want to discuss it anymore.

Donny earnestly began to touch up Roman’s makeup.

Half an hour later. Erin leisurely strolled along the snack street outside DragonSky Studios, observing the crowded stalls and shops on both sides of the street. Most of the people were from the film industry, including staff members, extras, and a small number of tourists visiting the studios.

Many people in costume were buying snacks, and one could easily feel the lively and cheerful atmosphere on the street. Erin was contemplating which barbecue store to choose.

At the same time, three men walked out from a relatively expensive specialty restaurant next to her. One of them, who was wearing a hat and a mask was Matthew. Their eyes met simultaneously. A flicker of surprise flashed in Matthew’s eyes, but quickly, they turned impassive as he walked past Erin without acknowledging her.

She swallowed back the words she wanted to say; she’d Intended to greet him. Ever since they parted on bad terms in the hotel room, they had run into each other twice on the set. All the while, Matthew had been wearing a sour expression and ignoring Erin.

He was no longer the boy who used to call her “Miss Erin” excitedly.

Erin sighed inwardly. Perhaps she had truly hurt Matthew’s self–esteem. She didn’t turn around but continued walking forward. After taking roughly a dozen steps, Matthew, who had returned, quickly walked toward her from behind.

Without saying a word, he grabbed Erin’s arm and pulled her along.

Erin turned to face him and saw his angry and handsome face as he removed his mask. She awkwardly leaned against the large tree and asked, “What do you want?”

Her confused expression angered Matthew, and he punched the tree in frustration. Erin’s heart skipped a beat, thinking he was going to hit her.

“Erin! You’re so stubborn! I’ve been waiting for you for several days and expected an apology from you. Why didn’t you come to find me?” he questioned.

Hearing his question, Erin furrowed her brows and asked in return, “Why should I apologize to you?”

Her lack of understanding instantly deflated Matthew. He let out a deep sigh and said, ‘Forget it. Let’s just pretend I didn’t say anything.”

All he wanted was for her to tell him in person that she was wrong, that she shouldn’t have rejected him, and that she would consider being with him and not dismiss him as a potential boyfriend because of their age difference.

“Matthew, as long as you’re willing, I’ll always be ‘Miss Erin‘ to you.” She could only say that much.

Matthew became enraged all of a sudden. “I don’t want that! Don’t you understand? I want you to be my girlfriend! My girlfriend, do you get it?”

He had heard about the rumors circulating on the set about Erin and Roman in the past few days. There were fans arguing online, with Roman’s fans mocking Matthew for being rejected by Erin and Matthew’s fans insulting Erin right away.

There were also some netizens who didn’t take sides and criticized both Matthew and Erin. Only Roman, who had always steered clear of scandals and controversies, was safe from the relentless and vicious attacks.

Roman didn’t have any public social media accounts, so even if someone wanted to criticize him, they couldn’t find a suitable platform. Erin hadn’t been checking Twitter, so she was unaware that her follower count had reached two million since the day she had a fever.

Matthew’s sudden confession left Erin stunned. Deep down, she had vaguely sensed that Matthew might have feelings for her, but she never expected him to actually confess to her.

“Erin, tell me, is your relationship with Roman really as people say online?” Matthew’s gaze was intense and focused on her.

Erin chuckled. “Do you believe what they say? They even spread rumors that I slept with you!”

Although her response didn’t directly answer the question, it relaxed Matthew slightly. He continued, “During the days you were sick, I secretly went to the hospital to check on you. But every time I went, I saw Roman by your side, so I didn’t go in.”

“Thank you for your concern.”

His eyes softened a bit. “Actually, I’ve thought about seeing you several times these past few days, but my ridiculous pride stopped me!”

Hearing his self–deprecating tone, Erin felt a twinge of discomfort in her heart. In truth, there was absolutely nothing wrong with liking another person. Nonetheless, she hoped that the person Matthew liked wasn’t her because her heart only had room for one person.

Her heart was already occupied by Chandler, and there was no space for any other man.

Erin’s usual silence left Matthew feeling powerless. Unwilling to admit defeat, he gave it another shot. “Erin, don’t think that just because I’m younger than you, I’m not qualified to be your boyfriend! Give me a chance, please?”

One needed courage to accept another’s affection; similarly, a great deal of courage was also needed to reject someone.

‘Matthew, we’re not compatible-*

He grabbed her arm forcefully and asked aloud, “You haven’t even given it a try! How do you know we’re not compatible?”

Hearing Erin’s rejection once again, his rationality snapped, and he lost control. His rebellious rock ‘n‘ roll spirit combusted at that moment for the girl he so dearly loved! He could no longer put up a pretense. He was not a humble gentleman at all.

Erin looked at the emotionally charged Matthew, feeling a hint of nervousness in her heart. She composed her thoughts and calmly added. “I already have someone I like.”

Hostility burst forth from Matthew’s amber eyes. He asked icily, “Who is he?”
