“Yes, Captain!” After saluting, Ashton glared at Emmanuel one last time

before leaving to investigate.

Emmanuel shook his head and smiled bitterly. “Captain Payne, I guess having

a fiery subordinate like her will cause you trouble everywhere, eh?”

Aston hadn’t gone far when he spoke those words. Upon hearing Emmanuel’s

complaint, she had the urge to turn around and kick him.

Unfortunately, she could tell Sage was very protective of Emmanuel, which

frustrated her.

“That’s why I came to talk to you in person. Will you hear me out?” Sage asked

politely.

At the same time, he glanced at the woman behind Emmanuel and sighed. It

“Okay!” Roselynn tossed the key at Ryder and spared Emmanuel a glance

before she left.

I could always call a cab to go home. Rhea took the hint and turned to leave

On the other side, Emmanuel and Sage arrived at the storage room at the

amusement park’s entrance.

“Here’s your medicine. One packet lasts for two doses a day. And here’s the prescription. If you run out of medicine, you can prepare them yourself.”

Emmanuel took a large bag of medicine from the locker and handed the bag

to Sage.

He stored it here when he first arrived at the amusement park. He also asked

Sage to meet here.

Sage chuckled. “I feel like I can live to eighty years old with the prescription

you provided.”

“Only eighty? It has to be a hundred!”

Sage laughed wholeheartedly. “It’s not a problem as long as you agree to

provide me with seventy years’ worth of medicine!”

Emmanuel feigned hesitation. “If so, forget about it. You can live a few years

less.”

Sage laughed at his joke.

The two bantered for a while and gave each other a little punch in the chest. The reunion reminded them of three years ago.

The two chatted for a while until Sage began seriously, “If you still see me as

your friend, you need to be frank with me. Who exactly is going after you? Are

you carrying out an important mission for the Northern Region?”

Meeting the gleaming eyes of Sage, Emmanuel eventually nodded.

“Really? So, you’re still a part of the Northern Region, right? Will you reform the

Wolf Warrior Unit one day?” Sage immediately hugged Emmanuel in

excitement. He fixed his eyes on Emmanuel’s face in anticipation.
