Love at the Wrong Table - Season 5 Episode 77
She’s still breathing!
Emmanuel immediately tore a strip of cloth from his coat to stop Mackenzie’s
bleeding.
She would be in danger if he did not manage to get there in time. That
sc*mbag didn’t even treat her injury!
After he stopped the bleeding and made sure she was safe, Emmanuel
surged to his feet. At a dangerously slow pace, he walked toward Tobias, who
remained on the ground.
“D–Don’t come any closer!” At this point, Tobias was scared of Emmanuel.
However, his words fell on deaf ears. Emmanuel stepped on Tobias‘ chest.
Tobias could feel his ribs crack. My body is falling apart!
“L–Loser, is killing Claudette not enough for you? You want to kill me too?”

Tobias growled. He didn’t think Emmanuel had the courage to kill him.
Emmanuel stopped at the words. Clenching his fists, he spoke through gritted
teeth. “Claudette died for me, but I didn’t kill her!”
“S–Still looking for an excuse, huh? Everyone knows you’re a coward! You took
advantage of her feelings for you and used her as a shield. Magnus wanted
to kill you! Claudette is the woman he loves! He would never try to kill her!”
Tobias yelled. Resentment was written all over his face.
Even though he and Claudette had different mothers, they were about the
same age. They grew up and studied together, so they shared a bond
between them.
His mother passed away when he was young. After losing his mother, he put
his love on Claudette, his older sister.
Claudette also looked after him even though he always acted childish.
Emmanuel was the cause of her death, so Tobias hated Emmanuel’s guts.

Emmanuel was no stranger to Tobias‘ expression. The man hated Emmanuel
so much that there was no room for fear.
It seems like he loves Claudette very much.
Therefore, Emmanuel didn’t kill Tobias immediately. After all, he felt guilty for

Claudette’s death. He couldn’t bring himself to kill the brother who loved her
so much.
Emmanuel said nothing at all, so Tobias shouted, “You won’t kill me,
Emmanuel! The Lenoir family will come after you if you kill me! However, your
wife needs to pay the price. Both of you are the cause of my sister’s suffering.
You need to bear the pain for the rest of your lives! After all, it’s nothing
compared to my sister’s suffering!”
Tobias laughed as if nothing mattered. He didn’t notice that Emmanuel had
clenched his fists again.
Emmanuel then punched Tobias in the forehead.
Tobias‘ laughter was cut short, and he winced in pain as his mind went blank.
“You’re right. I owe Claudette for her life, but I owe you nothing!” Emmanuel
remarked coldly before his blood once again boiled in anger. “Mackenzie is
my wife. Nobody is allowed to lay a finger on her, much less hurt her! I’ll make
them pay regardless of their status!”
Emmanuel’s next punch landed on Tobias‘ nose.
“S–Stop it! You’re killing me… I yield! I surrender!”
Emmanuel wasn’t hiding his intention to kill Tobias. He made it clear to Tobias
that he wasn’t joking. Therefore, Tobias changed his attitude.
Emmanuel threw another punch.
When he initially noticed the look on Tobias‘ face, he hesitated about killing
Tobias for Claudette’s sake.
However, Emmanuel couldn’t help but teach Tobias a lesson at the change in
the latter’s attitude.
Tobias couldn’t even make a sound as he was losing consciousness. He
regretted getting on Emmanuel’s bad side.
He always thought that Emmanuel would never be able to break through
Felix’s barrier or have the guts to kill him.
Reality had proved him wrong.
