As Beatrix rushed to the front of the Maserati and saw Mackenzie’s sharp

gaze, she quickly covered her mouth and wondered if she had done

something wrong again. Did Emmanuel still not know Mackenzie’s true

identity?

Emmanuel wasn’t as foolish as they thought. He immediately chuckled and

said, “Actually, I should have figured it out long ago. When my mother and I

went to apply for a job at Terence Group, we got hired easily. It turns out

we’re family!”

Beatrix stuck out her tongue at him. She did not praise him for guessing the

truth but instead teased him. “You dummy, you only realized it now! You

almost drove me crazy!”

Mackenzie no longer concealed it and snorted coldly. “Now that you know I’m

not inferior to Claudette, do you still want to find other rich and beautiful

women outside?”

As soon as she mentioned Claudette, the atmosphere changed.

Emmanuel immediately became serious and said, “Ms. Quillen, you can

dislike me and even divorce me, but please don’t humiliate Claudette and

Beatrix was really angered by how stupid Emmanuel was and quickly

stop insulting her?”

Emmanuel was still a man, and he didn’t want to go through all the trouble of

making amends with Mackenzie only to have a fallout again so quickly. So, he

expressed his request.

In the next moment, he felt that he had indeed been a bit sensitive and

decided to apologize to her.
