On the other hand, the military camp in the Northern Region was filled with a

cold breeze. At the same time, the buildings there looked like mighty huge

beasts guarding their kingdom, Chanaea, keeping outsiders from setting foot

on their land.

At that moment, Emmanuel appeared to be serving an old man a cup of

black tea in a spacious room. Served with the most common drink in the

military camp, the old man with gray hair seemed touched as he excitedly

Eight years ago, when the old man found Emmanuel among hundreds of

elites and discovered his talent in healing, he was so excited that he couldn’t

sleep. For the next few years, he dedicated all his time and effort to training

and making Emmanuel the Northern Region Wolf Warrior. Nevertheless,

Emmanuel later made a mistake as he was still too young and impulsive.

Troubled by that, he reluctantly decided to leave the Northern Region, which

came as a disappointment to the old man. Therefore, when he finally

reunited with Emmanuel three years later, he couldn’t help but feel happy

about it.

“I’m sorry, Master!” Emmanuel spoke tersely like he always did, letting out a

sigh after that.

As Emmanuel’s mentor and the Northern Region’s commander, Santiago

Adkins had sacrificed and made a lot of contributions to his nation. Therefore,

Emmanuel was especially grateful to have a respectable figure like Santiago

as his mentor.

In the first few years of his career, Emmanuel performed outstandingly on the

battlefield to repay his mentor. However, things took a turn for the worse in

the Battle of Waterloo three years ago.

Having made a mistake during that battle, he decided to put a stop to his

career to atone for his errors. As time flew, three years passed by without him.
