Early the next morning, Lexi returned to work at Terence Group as usual.

She had prepared various plans to deal with the bombing of the warehouse

and was ready to present them to Mackenzie.

However, as soon as she entered the CEO’s office, Mackenzie gave her an

order. “Lexi, put aside all your work today and find a way to bail Emmanuel out

of the police station for me!”

“Uh…”

Lexi was stunned, clearly unaware of what had happened after Mackenzie

left last night.

him away last night? Why are you so concerned about him now?”

teasing her boss, then changed her tone. “Ms. Quillen, I understand. Why is

Emmanuel in the police station?”

Mackenzie succinctly explained, “He killed the other person in self-defense

during the process of being attacked. According to the law, he is innocent,

but there are people meddling behind the scenes, so there may be some

complications to handle!”

“Alright, Ms. Quillen. I understand!”

Lexi nodded quickly and went to work. Handling such matters was her

expertise.

Mackenzie also trusted her abilities. The bombing of the warehouse had

caused many problems for her company. Now, with this incident, the Quillen

family and the Verkade Family had completely fallen out with each other.

Although the Verkade Family sounded intimidating as a top–tier wealthy

family in Zovince, this was Yeringham after all. Mackenzie wasn’t afraid of any

enemies.

In any case, she must clear Emmanuel’s name and make the Verkade Family

and Magnus give her an explanation!

me!”
