“Of course, you’re welcome to come and stay anytime!” Zane said and

pounced on Abellyn.

Soon, the room was filled with disgusting sounds that made Mackenzie

nauseous. She wondered if Emmanuel and Claudette had done the same

thing when they camped out in the wilderness that night.

Strange, why am I thinking about that man again?

Mackenzie felt increasingly irritated and walked out of the banquet hall,

where she ran into Quintus.

“Mackenzie, may I invite you to dance?”

“Get lost!”

Quintus was enthusiastic, but all he got in return was a heartless and fiery

‘get lost‘. He suddenly felt rejected. Mackenzie didn’t care about his feelings

and left the party directly.

“What a difficult wild horse to conquer! So challenging!”

Quintus was not discouraged, though. As the son of General Lenoir, he always

enjoyed taking on impossible challenges. The more difficult the task, the

more passionate he became.

In any case, Mackenzie was a woman he was determined to conquer. After

coming out, Mackenzie got into the Bentley, where Wally drove her to the

entrance of Yociam Residence. According to the usual routine, he stopped

there, but then he heard Mackenzie’s instructions. “Drive in!”

“Huh?” Wally was stunned and asked, “Aren’t you afraid of being seen by

Emmanuel?”

“If he sees, he sees. I want him to know that I’m even wealthier than

Claudette! I want him to regret his choice!”

Mackenzie’s words made Wally sweat profusely, but he didn’t dare to rebut. It

seemed that she had been hurt emotionally, and she was completely

different from her usual self!

Although Wally had little interaction with Emmanuel, he had good

observation skills. That man didn’t seem like a shallow person. How could he

cheat just because Claudette was rich?

But Wally still followed her instructions and drove the car into the parking lot

of the residential area.

Mackenzie noticed that the electric scooter was parked there again,

meaning Emmanuel had returned to Yociam Residence tonight.

She inexplicably breathed a sigh of relief!

She now realized that she was afraid of Emmanuel going back to his home

and having their current situation reach Alessandra and Roselynn’s ears.

By then, things would become even more complicated, and there would be

no turning back! After all, it was still a matter between the two of them as a

couple, so it would be best not to let it escalate…

Wally also noticed the change in her expression and understood it well. It

seemed that Mackenzie had developed feelings for Emmanuel. It was

something unimaginable before!

But he didn’t dare to say anything. After Mackenzie got out of the car, he

followed the usual routine and drove the Bentley away.

Throughout the journey, Mackenzie didn’t see Emmanuel. She thought that

Emmanuel dared to defy her and had gone home on his own!

Unfortunately, when she returned home, she found that it was cold and

empty. Not a single person was there!

“Dang it, that man didn’t come back?”

Mackenzie couldn’t help but bite her lip lightly. Where did that idiot go? The

electric scooter is parked inside the residential area!

In the next moment, she saw two dishes on the dining table in the living

room, which were covered with lids. Not only that, there was also a note!

She picked up the note and trembled when she read it.

“Mackenzie, I don’t know if you’ve had dinner tonight, so I prepared a

late–night snack. If it’s cold when you come back, you can warm it up in the

microwave.”

It was such a simple note.

Compared to Quintus‘ disgusting flattery, Mackenzie found herself more

easily moved by these sincere words.

The most important thing was that she hadn’t had dinner, and her stomach

was indeed grumbling. She even felt a slight pain in her abdomen. At this

moment, she didn’t care about warming it up and sat down to eat.
