“You don’t want to expose your chest and butt, so you can only expose your

waist.” Laura analyzed it for her. “Believe me; if you don’t expose anything, no

man would fall for you!”

Claudette thought Laura had a point, but she still hesitated.

“There’s nothing to hesitate over. Hurry and wear it! Are you General Lenoir’s

daughter or not? How can you advance in love and relationships if you’re not

bold enough?” Laura began reprimanding her.

Claudette’s father was a warrior, and he only started a business after he

retired from the military.

The power and status the Lenoir family enjoyed today were closely linked to

his connections and influence.

“If you don’t act a little bolder today, I’m afraid you’ll lose your chance. Well,

you can just settle for some other rich man. You have tons of admirers,

anyway.”

“I don’t want to!”

When Claudette heard that, she hastily grabbed the outfit and ran back to

her room like she was escaping something.

Even though she wasn’t completely brainwashed by Laura, she did

somewhat agree with the latter’s words.

No matter how indifferent a man could be, he was still a man!

Laura was right. Unless Emmanuel were a eunuch, he wouldn’t be completely

unfazed by women.

It was especially so when Claudette knew that she was a diva.

“Alright, Dr. Lowe, here I come! Take this!”

When Claudette thought about Mackenzie’s relationship with Emmanuel, she

decided to break through her barriers, or she would lose all her chances.

At noon, Claudette went to the gathering place by car. When she arrived, she

realized everyone was already there, including her sister, Elizabeth.

Almost everyone who joined laser tag was friends and classmates with her

sister and Beatrix, so they were all around 20 years old.

Hence, Claudette, the 26–year–old woman, looked a little too old among their

ranks.

She felt even more out of place since she was wearing such a mature outfit.

“Wow, you’re so pretty today, Claudette!” When Elizabeth saw Claudette, she

shouted in surprise.

Claudette is getting serious this time. No one will be able to win against this

beautiful diva! Elizabeth thought.

Beatrix also saw the daring outfit, and she hastily recorded a video in secret

and sent it to her sister.

She wondered if her sister would sense immense danger upon seeing It.

Claudette’s beauty was radiating a little too much, and she soon became the

focus of everyone present.

Girls envied her, whereas boys drooled at the sight of her.

Because of nervousness, Claudette avoided looking at Emmanuel on

purpose. She smiled and greeted everyone, but she discreetly angled her

exposed back toward Emmanuel.

Just as expected, Emmanuel noticed her, and he couldn’t help but be

stunned.

Under the effect of the clothes, he realized that Claudette’s skin was truly

pale and tender.

Claudette stole a glance at him, glee welling in her heart. That woman at

home is right; men always instinctively check out the bodies of the opposite

.sex.

Just as she was about to get closer to him, two boys blocked her path.

“Hey, gorgeous, you’re so beautiful! Let us, the valiant soldiers, protect you in

the game of laser tag today.”

“That’s right! We’ll willingly risk our lives for you. No regrets!”

Claudette was a little bewildered. She didn’t know the two boys at all.

Still, she knew that her bold outfit must have given off the wrong signal. They

must have thought that she was easy to flirt with.

What should I do?

She glanced at Emmanuel with a panicked look on her face, seemingly to

say, ‘Hurry up and help me, Dr. Lowe!‘
