Angela stiffened and stepped back a bit,
“I don’t get you ”

“I mean, she’s my daughter ”
“How? “She asked getting a bit nervous and he gulped hard.

“Hey! Its just a mistake of my past that I regret so much ”
“But.. She calls you brother”

“She doesn’t know that am her dad”
“Why? ”
“That’s because her mother is my step -mom”

She was still confused, she still can’t get where he’s arriving at, step-mom? Father? Brother?

“You mean that your step-mom is the mother and you’re the father? How? ”

“I slept with my step-mom”he mumbled and she gasped cupping her mouth with her eyes widely popped out.

“What!! ”
“I’m sorry I.. ”
She creased up her face in disgust,
“Your own stepmother? ”

“Yeah, that’s why I live here and not in my father’s house, he disowned me… ”

“If it were me, I will not only disown you! I will kill you! “She yelled and brushed past him heading inside and towards the dining table.

An hour later,

Jake knocked and came into the room while she sighed acting like she didn’t see him come in.

“Go away”she mumbled as he made to touch her.
“You shouldn’t be angry because of that”

Is she angry? Yes, but why is she angry? It shouldn’t bother her or should it?

“I’m not angry ”
“But you’re acting indifferently”
“I’m just bothered about how am gonna start all over again”she lied still feeling tensed.

Standing up with her back on him, she could feel his breath near her neck,

Even though she was angry, she couldn’t help those feelings building inside of her because of him.

Hw brought his two hands to the two sides of her shoulders and held her,

She took in a deep breath,
“Why do I feel like you’re lying Angela? I didn’t know its gonna happen, I didn’t know I was going to meet you later in my life even though I crushed on you… ”

Her eyes lit up as she turned her front to him almost immediately,
“You crushed on me? ”

His head dropped as he nodded,
She gulped, she never knew about it,

“Yeah, I’ve been crushing on you for a very long time ”
Her lips parted staring at him,
“Jake… ”

“If I didn’t do that, my father won’t have thrown me out of the house and I won’t have met you and I won’t have learnt on how to work for myself and make money Angela,

Meeting you changed my life the more ”
“Where is this coming from? “She asked with a smile forming on her face.

“From my heart”
She giggled and he smiled cupping her face,
“You’re so damn cute Angela”

“Then why aren’t you touching me? I miss your crazy touch on my body”
