Living With My Lady Boss - Season 9 Episode 65
Wilbur walked into the pit slowly, reaching out toward the skeleton.
A mysterious force rushed into his body the moment he picked a bone up.
Wilbur remained emotionless, feeling the sensation in silence.
Aside from spiritual energy, it also contained a large amount of spirit energy.
Any regular mortal would not be able to withstand such power, even losing their mind and going insane.
A long while later, Wilbur sent the skeleton into his demiplane.
Cameron and the rest heaved a loud sigh of relief the second the pressure in the air lessened.
“Sir, can you please tell us what that was?” Catherine piped up curiously.
Wilbur frowned. “I’m not too sure myself if I’m being honest. It might belong to an ancient tribe or an alien. I have no way of knowing, but they had to be extremely powerful when they were still alive.”
Catherine and the rest looked at each other.
None of them were at Wilbur’s level of skill and power yet, and thus could not fully understand what he meant.
An ancient tribe, or an alien.
That alone was strange and bizarre enough for them.
Wilbur, however, had some guesses in his head.

The earth has been around for billions of years.
Who knew for sure just how many times mankind had gone extinct, just like the dinosaurs?
A few billion years was so far away compared to the brief lifespan of a human being.
Who could tell just what had happened on this planet in the past?
It was very possible for aliens to have visited before.
Just then, however, up to a hundred feral beasts appeared and charged toward Wilbur.
Cameron and the others were shocked. How did these beasts still have the courage to challenge Wilbur? Would that not just be a one-way ticket to hell?
Wilbur’s expression darkened. His thunder cleaver lit up with spiritual flames, buzzing with sparks of lightning.
He shot out at high speed, passing through all the beasts.
All of the feral beasts were cut clean in half, collapsing to the ground by the time Wilbur returned to where he had been standing.

Cameron and the others could hardly even describe their amazement at this point.

This man really was a god.
Catherine said in a shaky voice, “W-What just happened, sir?”
None of them could understand it.

Wilbur had been able to kill a beast as powerful as the giant ape, and these feral beasts were hardly anything compared to it.
Wilbur looked up. “I took the crystal skeleton away. They probably sensed that the source of their powers had disappeared and lost their minds.”
The other three nodded dumbly. That seemed to be the only explanation that made sense.
Just then, the fog that had covered the Valley of Death began to fade.
Even the dark clouds in the sky were beginning to disperse.
It seemed like the power of the crystal skeleton had not only turned the surrounding creatures into feral beasts but also affected the ecosystem around the area.
“Let’s hang around for a little more and see if there’s anything else here,” said Wilbur.
Cameron and the rest nodded.
A long while later, the fog cleared completely, and the dark clouds were gone. For the first time, the sun shone in the Valley of Death.
Wilbur looked around him. It seemed like there was nothing else around aside from the beasts’ corpses.
“We’re out of danger now. Feel free to look around. See if there’s anything you
can use.”
The others nodded eagerly. Now that the place was brightly lit, they did seem to not be in danger anymore.
The corpses of the spirit beasts had turned to ash after being struck by Wilbur’s thunder cleaver, losing all value.
The only thing worth looking for would be gems or the like.
The three adventurers bowed to Wilbur before setting out to comb through the rest of the Valley of Death.
Wilbur made a quick round in the valley himself as well, in case there was a stray Crystal Bone in sight but ended up with nothing.
