“Yes, madam!” A group of Special Forces agents sprang into action.

Just then, Faron looked over at Kory and his wife, unsure of what to say.

Elsa came up to Lily. “Why don’t you let them get some rest for now?”

Lily nodded, looking at Kory and his wife.

Both of them felt like a huge weight had lifted off their shoulders, bowing to Faron and Elsa before leaving.

Their case had been solved in a way neither of them had expected.

After everyone was gone, Faron and Elsa exchanged looks of confusion.

“Wilbur’s in a mood today.”

“He sure is. What happened?”

“How would I know?”

“Wanna ask him out for a drink?”

“Let’s go.”

The both of them draped an arm around each other’s shoulders, heading for Wilbur’s room.

When they opened the door, they saw Wilbur smoking in the living room emotionlessly.

Neither Faron nor Elsa could tell what he was feeling.

Both of them smiled at Wilbur. “It’s been a while since we drank together, bro! Are you free tonight?”

“I am.” Wilbur nodded.

Elsa grinned. “Cool. Let’s have pizza.”

Faron nodded along. Just then, Faye walked into the room.

“Hey, Faye,” Faron and Elsa greeted in unison.

Faye nodded with a smile, sitting down next to Wilbur.

Elsa and Faron said at once, “We’ll be in our rooms when you’re done, then. Call us anytime.”

“Do you need him for something?” asked Faye.

Elsa smiled. “Nah, just wanted to have some drinks. We don’t want to be in your way, though.”

“What is it?” Wilbur asked with a frown.

“Cape and Everest Foreign Trade signed a contract for eighty billion dollars to mine for minerals in Freeca. It’s a very promising deal, but there’s been a huge safety issue there. Crime is rampant, and illegal weapons are sold like candy. Everest has been suffering a huge loss, which has affected us as well. Now, Everest is requesting that we bring over an armed security team to protect the mines.

“Eighty billion?” Faron and Elsa got a shock. That was no small investment… Faye was something else, and so was Cape Consortium.

Wilbur frowned. “Are things looking good there future-wise, though?”

“Oh, they’re looking great. Everest has infinite mining rights over a dozen mines. It’s just the security issues that make it hard for them to profit, and it’s even caused a good number of casualties. That’s why they’ve come to us for help,” said Faye.

Wilbur said, “Well, that doesn’t seem like too big of an issue, then. Just put together an armed security team and send them over. If that doesn’t work, I’ll send someone over to stand guard.”

Wilbur had two Sanctuary level cultivators and plenty of Ambience level cultivators under him.

Forming an armed security team was hardly a problem.

Just then, Faye’s phone rang. She glanced at it and picked it up, and it was quite

a long while before the call ended.

“There’s trouble. The chairman of Everest is there right now, and he just got

kidnapped. They’re asking for a hundred million dollars for ransom. The

chairman’s daughter called to ask for help,” Faye said worriedly.
