Living With My Lady Boss - Season 11 Episode 35
Wilbur was slightly surprised at her friendliness.
However, there was nothing wrong with being friendly. Some people were born extroverts, and they liked to travel and go on adventures. It was normal.
However, he still inspected Vivian with his spirit energy out of habit from years of being cautious.
He discovered that Vivian was only an ordinary person.
Wilbur smiled and said, “Sorry. My trip is a private one. It’s not convenient for me to bring a plus one.”
“I see. That’s alright. I can stroll around on my own.” Vivian smiled and plugged in her earphones to listen to music.
Wilbur also started to shut his eyes and meditate.
The train reached Cookville station around three in the afternoon.
Wilbur and Vivian got off the train and waved goodbye to each other.
Wilbur grabbed a cab and went straight to the Cook manor.
He reached the manor after half an hour.
“The Cook Manor.”
Wilbur smiled as he looked at the words before he walked inside.
However, he was immediately stopped at the entrance.
“May I ask who you are looking for?”
“My name is Wilbur Penn. I’ve been invited by Mister Jude Cook,” replied Wilbur.
The subordinate hurriedly said, “Please, let me lead you inside.”
Wilbur nodded and followed the subordinate inside.
They passed through two premises before they reached the main living room.
The subordinate said at the door, “Mister Cook, Mister Wilbur Penn is here.”
“Welcome.”
The subordinate politely gestured at Wilbur to enter the room, and Wilbur walked inside confidently.
He saw a middle-aged man around his forties sitting in the living room. Next to him was a prideful-looking old man.

The middle-aged man stood when he saw Wilbur. He said, “Mister Wilbur Penn, please have a seat.”
“Mister Cook?” asked Wilbur when he sat.
“In the flesh. Jude Cook,” replied the middle-aged man.
Jude said, “Allow me to introduce you to Mister Joey Youle. He’s also a Sanctuary level cultivator.”
Wilbur nodded at Joey to show politeness, but Joey said with arrogance, “Mister Cook, there are a lot of scammers these days, so I think you better watch out.”
“You’re right, Mister Youle, but I think Mister Penn has what it takes since he dared to accept the mission right?” asked Jude as he looked at Wilbur.
Wilbur smiled and replied, “Don’t worry about that. I’m not a fan of bluffing.”
Jude nodded to show that he believed him.
However, Joey stood to look at Wilbur. He said, “Every Sanctuary level cultivator is famous and on the list. Why haven’t I heard of Wilbur Penn?”
“Famous on the list? What list?” Wilbur was slightly curious.
Joey chuckled and replied, “The cultivator list, of course. Each Sanctuary level cultivator has rankings on the cultivator list. What’s your ranking, Wilbur Penn?”
Wilbur was stunned because he was not aware of the cultivator list.
“Sorry, I’ve been busy and offline, so I didn’t know about the cultivator list,” replied Wilbur.
Joey instantly laughed out loud when he heard that. He said, “Look, Mister Cook. I told you there are a lot of scammers these days.”
Jude looked slightly doubtful. He looked at Wilbur without saying anything.
A Sanctuary level cultivator was not someone he could easily mess with, so he did not dare to say anything reckless.
Wilbur noticed it and said, “It’s alright. Sanctuary level cultivators speak with their capabilities. Since you don’t believe me, Mister Youle, how about a friendly match?”
Joey chuckled and asked, “What kind of match? What are the stakes?”
“Are we betting?” asked Wilbur while frowning.
Joey scoffed coldly and replied, “As Sanctuary level cultivators, we can’t just act haphazardly. Those who impersonate a Sanctuary level cultivators deserve to
die.”
