Elsa and the others all took on an ugly expression at the sight of Flora’s cockiness.

Michael was positively furious as well.

This girl was really playing with fire here, making up a whole story without any proof. What was wrong with her?

Did she know who she was dealing with here?

What a lost cause! Michael did not intend to save her in the slightest.

He eyed Flora coldly. “So what you’re saying is that you have no proof that Mister Penn here actually took photos of you?”

“Yes, but only because I caught him in the act,” Flora said, sticking her chin out.

Michael shook his head, turning to Juno. “Officer Simpson, please decide the nature of the case for us to proceed.”

The lawyer had already told Juno everything that happened, as well as providing all the relevant proof.

It was clear as day that Flora had no proof at all and was falsely accusing a stranger from a place of bad faith. She had spread vile rumors about him online, leading others to attack him viciously.

Michael also knew the kind of person Wilbur was.

The kind of person who could have people like Faron and Elsa at his beck and call.

Was this girl out of her mind, making up rumors about someone like that?

Flora Duvall was going to get it, but not before things were handled officially.

Juno gave it some thought, then turned to Flora. “Well, Miss Duvall, you admitted that Mister Penn did not take any photos of you, and yet you still uploaded a negative video about him online. Is that true?”

“Again, the only reason he didn’t get to take the photos is because I caught him in the act just in time,” Flora huffed.

Juno shook his head. “Well, we’re going by actual evidence here. You either have it, or you don’t. If he wanted to kill someone but didn’t end up doing it, could we arrest him for murder?”

“That’s a different story altogether, you’re trying to manipulate me!” Flora said at once.

Juno looked right at Flora. “Okay, then. According to what you just said, he was trying to take those photos, but you found out and stopped it in time. According to Mister Penn’s lawyer, however, he was only picking up his phone. So that would still mean that you can’t prove he was trying to take photos of you, is that right?”

“You… you….” Flora did not know what to say, her chest heaving as she glowered at Juno. It just felt like he was siding with Wilbur on purpose.

Juno then said, “You had no proof, but went on the internet to spread misinformation in your videos. You slandered Mister Penn’s reputation, causing serious damage to his personal life and mental health. There are consequences to that, you know.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Flora could hardly believe her ears.

All she had done was call this man a pervert. What had she done wrong here, and why did she have to pay the price for it? Was this some kind of sick joke?

Juno remained calm as ever. “We’re launching an official investigation on you for slander and defamation. Please come with us to the station and cooperate with us.”

“What are you saying? What’s that supposed to mean? You’re all in on this, aren’t you? Out to get a student like me, right?” Flora lost her cool all at once, standing up and pointing at Juno while shouting at the top of her lungs.

“I think I made myself pretty clear,” Juno said.

To Juno, Flora was making a foolish, foolish mistake.

She knew that she had slandered someone on the internet without any evidence, but still refused to admit it and instead felt like others were out to get her.
