It was like the congee was cooked with bone broth instead of water.

The aroma of the bone broth had completely seeped into the rice.

The rice had been simmered until the grains fluffed up so much they became soft and sticky.

Then Xie Jiling picked up a steamed bun with her chopsticks. The bun was small and cute, just the right size to eat in one bite.

However, it was still too hot. So she didn’t dare to stuff the whole thing into her mouth.

Instead, she carefully bit off half the bun.

The bun bread was exactly as she imagined—soft and delicious.

The pork and leek filling was mixed with minced corn kernels.

The broth from the filling spilled out towards the bun bread and seeped into half of it, turning the soaking it with the flavor of the broth.

Once Xie Jiling was done eating the bun, she shifted her attention to the freshly fried breadsticks.

She bit into one. It was so crispy that she could hear it crack underneath her teeth.

Xie Jiling loved eating the puffy parts of deep-fried breadsticks the most. They were very thin and crispy.

She then hurriedly stuffed some salad into her mouth to offset the greasiness.

This breakfast seemed like it was a meal for a god.

“Delicious!” Xie Jiling normally couldn’t eat much for breakfast.

However, the food was truly too amazing that she ate a lot without realizing it.

She ate everything Auntie Sun had prepared for her.

Auntie Sun was elated. “I learned how to cook these from Young Master Zhao Gushen’s friend. As expected, the result is wonderful because I followed her instructions.”
