JUST A LITTLE SIN - Episode 18

Just then there was a loud scream, it was coming from Konji. I walked back, passing the usher lady that suddenly stood when she saw me coming back. I stood where I can see Konji well.

He was literally the only person creating a scene in the church.

He lifted one leg up and began dancing around with the other leg and will change the leg to the other one from time to time.

The men ushers circled him as they try to hold him but Konji wasn’t ready for that.

I moved closer because it was begining to look more real than acting.

Is it possible for Konji to really be under the influence of the holy Spirit because the drama appear so real.

Three men of God came to gather around him and began to pray.

The ushers holding him left as the ministers began to do a special prayer for him

“I thought you were going before, I’m glad you have reason to come back…”

The voice spoke quietly beside me, startling me.

I turned and it was the usher lady, she flashed a smile at me.

I didn’t reply as I returned my attention to Konji.

“..your friend or brother will be delivered tonight by the power in the name of Jesus, you don’t have to worry..”

I quickly turned to her and asked

“Delivered? Is he possessed by some evil spirit that will warrant deliverance? It looks like he’s under the influence of the holy spirit.. right?

I know to deliver somebody means the person is either possessed or always acting under the influence of some evil being misleading him, that’s also being possessed too

“No, the ministers surrounding him are deliverance ministers, if it was the holy spirit the pastor himself will be the one attending to him.

I looked at Konji again, I’m not sure prayers like this works on him if not he would not still be going from church to church doing his fake act and getting paid in kind.

I moved closer but the ushers stopped me half way, from where I stood I can see Konji clearly.

Prayers was still ongoing and people were concentrating on the prayers while worship songs went on without interruption and that made people to pray even more.

At that time, it appears like I just saw Konji turned and wink at me.

I can’t make out exactly what I saw but I saw that within few seconds of doing that Konji was shaking uncontrollable on the floor like he was electrified.

More like he had no control over the serious body movement, more like electric shock

He kept shaking as the three men intensified their prayers.

He roll from end to end, I watched as alot of things went through my mind.

Is this all acting or for real?

To me it was beyond acting, if this was acting then Konji is a pro in this business of his.

“Don’t worry, he will be alright. He’s only going through spiritual purging. God will deliver him tonight through this men of God..”

The lady usher said again quietly beside me.

She asked me to go and sit down but I didn’t want to at first, I wanted to know if Konji was acting or it was for real.

I walked back to my seat and remained standing so that I will still be able to see Konji.

Konji kept screaming but as time goes on his scream became more like a cry.

He later went still in the ground, he wasn’t moving anymore.

He lay dead.

Oh God, hope he’s not dead. I said to myself

If this was all a stunt from Konji then he’s a very good actor. His acting is so convincing that he can deceive anyone.

He try to stand later but fell back again, he was staggering like a drunk person as he lurches backward and front before falling back again

The men helped him to a seat and he sat with his head bent.

People sitting with him before had dispersed to different place when he initially started shaking like he was shocked by naked electric wire, leaving only him and his drama.

what next now? I wondered.

I guess he had to receive the best rewards for putting up a perfect show.

The prayers were later over as they began praise and offering.

the ushers move from seat to seat with offering bags.

If they see that you don’t have any money to drop in the offering bags, they move to the next person as quick as possible.

After the whole program, I saw that a bag was given to Konji after the minister spoke with him and then one of them prayed for him again.

Konji’s head remain bent, he appeared to be uncomfortable.

I decided to wait outside for him, he has collected his bounty and it look huge.

Big reward for putting up a perfect show of the century.

I decided to wait outside for him.

Konji is going to mock me for not following through with the agreement.

He will show me his many award winning prize for his perfect show and laugh at me for getting nothing.

He may even call me a coward and that will be the part I will break his jaw.

He should better enjoy his gift in peace and leave me alone.

Truthfully, what he did in there was quiet embarrassing, I’m not sure I will ever be ready for such expensive drama.

He needs to take body pain reliever due to the way he was falling back and forth and hitting himself on the hard tile floor.

“Hello, hope you enjoyed the service..”

I couldn’t figure out the voice due to the whole noise but I assumed it was a female voice and no other than Lady usher.

She’s asking if I enjoyed the service but if I have to really say the fact, I didn’t.

The only person I was paying attention to all through the entire time was Konji.

I can’t say any particular song that was sang or anything that was preached or said.

My church night Virgil today was Konji and his convincing show.

“It was good..” I replied her.

“I’m glad, will you be around next time for another night virgil program or for normal church service?

“I can’t tell, infact I’m not sure..” I replied again. I don’t want to start beating around or saying what I can’t do because she looks like Oni or that she was a beautiful usher with a very nice body shape.

“Can I atleast know why you wouldn’t like to return back and worship with us..?”

Anything I say now will either make her leave me alone or resume another sermon on my case.

She may start preaching heaven and hell to me and I can’t stand that.

“Okay…I will try and come again. The service was nice too..” I finally said.

Maybe now she will leave me alone because I have replied with the exact thing she wish to hear

Her presence reminds me of Oni and it was because of the tormented memories of Oni I decided to leave the village for good.

I don’t want to be reminded, I want the night mares to stop and really move on.

It appears she’s following me both in spirit and physical.

Everywhere I go she appears.

Oni need to realize that I have never stopped blaming myself for her death. If I have a second chance with her I will do all I can to save her life.

“My name is Omie, your face looks very familiar..”.

Did she say Oni or Omie and that my face looks familiar?

because I’m not sure I heard her clearly.

I looked at her signaling that I didn’t hear her clearly.

Just then Konji finally came out, he was scanning everywhere in search of me.

I waved at him to announce my presence before walking over to him.

“Let’s go.. quick..” he said in a hurry.

He was smelling of urine or maybe the urine smell was coming from somewhere close.

Konji was too much in a hurry while holding onto his gift prize bag.

We left and I didn’t look back at the usher lady again.

I was happy for the opportunity that came to distract our little conversation and take me away from her.

“Guy, you’re the real actor and should try and sign up to movies. I saw what you acted in there, I was almost convinced that it was all real if not that I know of our secret plan. And offcourse you got rewarded for the scary drama.. you…”

“It wasn’t an act..is not a show..” Konji said as he interrupted me.

“..it started as a show initially but along the line I couldn’t explain what happened. Tomasi, i…I peed on myself in the process. I urinated on my manly self Tom.. for the first time in history. This is too embarrassing, I need to get out of here and go home, I don’t feel too good. This is far beyond what I bargained for, I need a serious bath… please let’s hurry before they call me back again..”

I said it before that i strongly perceived a foul smell of urine.

Konji urinated on himself? Woah, that’s too bad.

Konji does not look like he was joking, I could have excuse it for one of his jokes.

He was uncomfortable and very much in a hurry as we hurried out.
