IN LOVE WITH A SOLDIER, VOLUME 2 - Season 11 Final Episode 14

In J city, at eight o’clock sharp, a party for the members of the financial world was being held in the LSD hotel. There were lots of security guards around the hotel. Nobody could enter the hotel if they did not have the invitation.

The hotel was decorated all around with neon lights, which flashed one by one in rhythm, making the hotel more noticeable and beautiful.

The parking of the hotel was full of luxurious and prestigious cars. And none of the cars looked exactly the same. Every car was different from the other, representing the owner’s taste.

Holding a glass of red wine in their hands, Lawrence and Austin were standing in one corner and observing the people around them. Some men wearing suits were smiling and trying to draw the attention of someone who was useful to them. Some women were scantily clad, but they didn’t regret that. These women were trying to seduce handsome men who were looking towards them.

“Why aren’t Mike and Mandy here yet?” Austin said, a bit impatiently.

“Just wait for a few more minutes,” said Lawrence, pretending to stay calm. But in fact, he was very nervous about the event. He didn’t even know why he had been nervous ever since he had gotten up in the morning.

“Well, only four of us attend such kind of parties nowadays. Tim is giving company to Alice and their son at home, just like Violet and Greg. They love their kid so much. Last time, I wanted to pick the baby in my arms. But they didn’t allow me to do so, because they were afraid that I would make him fall down,” Austin complained.

“Don’t you know that a child is everything to its parents? They all have their own families and are leading their own life now, it is improper for us to ask them to attend such kind of parties,” said Lawrence. Then he turned to look at Austin and added, “You should also think about your own marriage.”

“I didn’t hear what you said, I didn’t,” Austin said, and turned to look aside, pretending as if he didn’t know Lawrence at all.

At this time, Mike and Amanda entered the party room and made way towards them.

“Lawrence,” Mike called out his name. Lawrence and Austin turned to look at Mike.

“Mike, Mandy, you are very late,” Austin complained.

“Are we late? I think we are just on time,” Mike said and then glanced at his watch. Again, this time he said with more surety, “We are on time.”

“But we have been waiting for you two for quite a long time,” Austin retorted. Amanda smiled tenderly and said calmly, “Austin, it is worthwhile to wait for us. There is a big surprise for you later.”

Amanda’s words made Austin look at her with big eyes. He asked, “What is it, Mandy?”

Amanda just smiled but didn’t answer Austin’s question. She glanced at Mike and then looked at Lawrence.

“Lawrence, you must listen to Mandy carefully,” Mike suggested to Lawrence.
Lawrence didn’t know what was going on. He looked into Amanda’s eyes, trying to figure out.

“I have heard from my friends that Aria is back,” said Amanda. Obviously, Lawrence was surprised to hear the news. Amanda added, “She will also be here tonight.”

Her last words made Lawrence and Austin freeze.

“What? Aria is back? But it was being said that she would come back by next month, wasn’t it?” Austin said, not believing it.

“What?” asked Lawrence in astonishment, wondering what was going on.

Amanda continued to add, “It won’t be wrong to say that. Aria will no doubt come here, but I don’t know when. She has been back in the past few days.

But Lawrence was still shocked.

Austin guessed about it and then said, “She must have come back with my parents. It made me sad that my Mom had lain to me that Aria wouldn’t be coming back with her. She wanted to keep this as a secret from us.”

However, Lawrence was not in a position to listen to Austin. He said directly, “I think I will go out alone for a while.”

When he finished, he turned to leave, ignoring what others were talking about.
“Just let him go. Maybe only when he sees Aria would he calm himself down,” said Mike.

“You are right. It may be the right time for them to get married now when they meet each other again,” Amanda said.

“That’s for sure. My Mom and two Aunts are arranging for their marriage,” said Austin, disclosing the information.
At the party, there were many people coming and leaving. Lawrence was searching for the love of his life. But as much as he tried, he could not see her anywhere.

Beside the swimming pool, there were people chatting with each other. With a glass of brandy in hand, Aria was standing among the people. She was wearing a long blue dress, making her look more sexy and attractive.

Standing gracefully among the people, Aria was elegant enough to draw people’s attention towards herself.

“Miss Aria, now that you are back, you won’t go abroad again, will you? How about joining my company? I will provide you with the best salary. No matter what your requirements are, I will be able to meet them,” said a suit-clad middle-aged man.

“Mr. Chen, I am so sorry. But I have never thought about working at your company,” said Aria briefly. She had never thought about it, not to mention promising him.

“What about coming to work at my company? You could work in the office zone for you only. And the salary I provide you will be no less than what you could get abroad. Besides, I could give a car and an apartment to you as presents. All of these will improve the quality of your life,” another a middle-aged man said.

Aria smiled and replied, “Mr. Zhang, I am sorry. My answer may disappoint you.”

“Aria, why don’t you accept our invitations? Is it because you have some other plans?” asked Mr. Chen, confused about Aria’s decision.

“I do have my own plans. But life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans. I will make the right choice at the proper time,” said Aria. She did not tell them what her choice really was, but everyone present didn’t know how to oppose her decision.

At this time, Aria unintentionally glanced around and saw her man was standing not far away. He looked anxious. Was he by any chance looking for her?

They looked at each other for a while, and then Aria turned to look at the other people around her and said politely, “Excuse me, I will have to leave.”

After saying these words, Aria walked away from those people and strode towards Lawrence.

Lawrence was standing in a secluded corner. It was a little dark there and he could be easily ignored.

Standing in front of Lawrence, Aria was quite excited about meeting him again. She had thought to meet him again by accident. But to her surprise, he was also looking for her. It seemed that he had learned the news that she was back.

“Larry, I am…” Before Aria could even finish her words, Lawrence interrupted her.

“I am so proud of you,” said Lawrence, praising Aria.

Aria knew that Lawrence had an idea about it. A drop of tear rolled down her cheek. She had worked hard for this moment to come in her life. She had exerted herself to become excellent so as to match up to Lawrence. She had been looking forward to meeting him again and expressing her love.

“Larry, we will be together forever,” said Aria fondly. They looked at each other affectionately.

“I am yours for my whole life,” Lawrence promised, determined.

Aria nodded in high spirits, she took Lawrence’s hand and said, “I am here for you. Now I have achieved everything. Let’s go.”

“From tonight, you only belong to me forever,” said Lawrence, holding Aria’s hand tightly. And then they walked out together.

One month later, JC Hotel was booked by the Chu Family for Lawrence and Aria’s wedding.

Some of the guests present at the wedding were old family friends of Chu Family, and some were Chu Family’s friends from the business circle. Nearly all the wealthy and influential families in J city attended the wedding.

Violet and Alice also attended the party. Now they were strolling on the grass arm in arm. While doing so, they met some old friends and greeted them warmly.

“Well, Violet, do you think it is proper for us to come out and relax while leaving the men to take care of the children?” asked Alice, a bit worried.

“Don’t worry, we should be open to trusting them. It is wise to ask them to look after the children. They could be qualified ‘papa nannies’,” said Violet, smiling.

Alice looked around and then said, “There are so many people at the wedding today.”

“Yes, of course. My father and brother have invited them in person. There is no reason for them to refuse to attend,” said Violet proudly.

“Then let’s witness their happy time together,” said Alice in high spirits.

“Sounds excellent, let’s go there,” said Violet. Then she walked to the wedding dais together with Alice.

Holding Kate’s hand in her hand, Cherry was sitting on the VIP seat in the first row with Kate. Her husband Jackson also sat beside her.

Violet, Alice, Greg, Tim, and Austin sat in the second row. They were even more excited than the couple on the wedding dais even while waiting to witness the holy union.

Listening to the sweet music, everyone focused on the beautiful moment being created on the wedding dais.

“Mr. Lawrence, wilt thou have this woman to be thy wedded wife, to live together according to God’s law in this holy estate of matrimony? Wilt you love her, comfort her, respect her and protect her forever? Wilt you keep her, for rich or for poor, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto her, so long as ye both shall live?”

“I will,” Lawrence answered firmly.

“Miss Aria, wilt thou have this man to be thy wedded husband, to live together according to God’s law in the holy estate of matrimony? Wilt you love him, comfort him, respect him and protect him forever? Wilt you keep him, for rich or for poor, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto him, so long as ye both shall live?” “I will,” Aria answered solemnly.

“Now, it is the time for you to give and receive a ring to each other as a token of your marriage. The rings are made of gold, which means that you should give your mate the most precious love, which will be the most exquisite present in the world for your mate. Gold never rusts or fades, representing that your love too will last forever. Rings are round, which means that you should keep no secret from each other and that you will never break up.”

The couple looked at the rings on their fingers and then kissed each other in the presence of all the guests.

There were hearty rounds of applause and cheers, pronouncing the benediction for the couple. That was the sweetest sound in J city tonight.

“Well, Violet, how about helping me find a girlfriend?”

“Austin, you have so many fans already. Among them, there must be some single girls, find one and marry her. I would be the witness of your love.”
