IN LOVE WITH A SOLDIER, VOLUME 2 - Season 11 Episode 6

In Lu’s villa, Alice was standing at the door of her bathroom, looking very nervous and holding a pregnancy test stick in her hand. She looked at Tim standing beside her but dared not go inside.

“Darling, what if I am pregnant? What would we do then? I am so scared,” Alice said, a worried look clear on her face. “My newly designed clothes are up for display and for that, I have to go to Paris next month.” She scowled.

Tim caressed her cheek tenderly and in a doting tone, said, “Don’t worry, my dear! If you are pregnant, you can put aside your work temporarily. You know that our baby is the most important.”

“I think so, too,” Alice agreed with a nod. After taking a deep breath, she finally went inside the bathroom.

Tim waited outside in the bedroom anxiously. He was also expecting the result eagerly. Previously, they had not considered having a baby as a priority and hence always used protection. But recently, they thought it was time for them to have a baby since they had been married for a long time now. So, they had used no contraceptives, and they were now wondering whether Alice had become pregnant this time.

It took Alice a while before she finally walked out of the bathroom.

Seeing her coming out, Tim hastily walked up to her, took her hands in his and asked, “Honey, what is the result?”

Alice pretended to be sad as if their hopes had been dashed. Before Tim noticed it and tried to comfort her, she suddenly beamed and jumped into his arms, saying, “Darling, I am pregnant! We are going to have our baby now!”

“Really?” Tim couldn’t believe his ears. After he had confirmed it again, he held Alice tightly and whispered in her ear, “From now on, you shouldn’t go anywhere and stay at home, okay? I will take very good care of you!”

“Yes, sir! “Alice said happily. “But by doing that you will exhaust yourself,” Alice said to Tim, with great concern on her face. Now, Tim not only had to manage his own work but also spared more time to take care of her. She didn’t want him to get worn out because of her.

“It’s no problem at all. For you and our baby, I’d like to do everything,” Tim comforted her, with a broad smile on his face, his happiness knew no bounds today.

“Should we tell this news to our parents now?” Alice suddenly asked.

“I think we’d better wait and find a right time to tell them,” Tim suggested.

“They are downstairs and we usually eat lunch with them. When having lunch together with them, I am afraid I won’t be able to keep the secret,” Alice said. Since she was young, she had hidden nothing from her parents. This was such a piece of good news and she actually couldn’t wait to share this moment of joy with her parents.

“Then, go on and tell them. Anyway, we will have to tell them sooner or later,” Tim agreed.

“BTW, ask Greg to make arrangements and I will go to the hospital for an examination,” Alice continued.

“Okay, I will call him soon,” Tim replied. Afraid that Alice might be too tired to stand there so long, he gently pulled her to sit on the bedside to continue with the discussion.

“And, ask Violet to be at the hospital too. If I am confirmed to be pregnant after examination, I will certainly like to share the good news with her,” Alice continued to say.

“Okay, okay, that is no problem!” Tim said.

Derek and Amy sat in the living room watching TV. When they saw that Alice and Tim are coming downstairs, Amy said, “I knew that you would be getting up late, so I didn’t wake you up for breakfast. You must be hungry now, aren’t you?”

“I am okay,” Alice replied, as usual. When she saw that her father was watching a soap opera, she shouted in surprise, “Dad, I don’t expect you to watch such kind of soap operas with mom.”

“Isn’t it good to that I give company to your mother?” Derek retorted. His daughter still behaved like a little girl, who is always up to some mischief.

“Good, superb! I know as a couple you are much sweeter than Tim and me, “Alice smiled as she sat down beside her mother and put her arm into hers.

“You two are always too busy to think of anything else. Look at you, designing the clothes every day and you don’t even have no time to eat regular meals,” Amy whined, as she felt distressed for her daughter. “And you,” Amy turned to Tim and continued, “You now have so many responsibilities and you must be stressed out. For your health, I suggest you, Alice, that you close your studio and you, Tim, narrow your management scope. Do you need your father to speak something to Lawrence?”

Tim didn’t reply and remained silent because he knew that his beloved wife would certainly have an apt reply to her mother’s statement.

“Ah, Mother, we are really very good! Don’t you worry about us,” Alice said in a flirtatious tone.

“I just feel very bad for you and Tim. I don’t want you to be worn out so soon in your life. I don’t think you are even close like me, or your father,” Amy pretended to look at Alice from head to toe to size her up.

“What is it?” Amy thought that she would talk about her work, but she was not interested to know anything about that. “I am pregnant!” Alice said in a low voice.

“What, You are pregnant? “Amy repeated loudly, as her hand flew to her mouth. She took a while to react and she first looked at her daughter and then her son-in-law and asked them again, “Is it true?” “Yes, quite true!” Tim nodded firmly.

Derek was also pleasantly surprised and he looked at his daughter and asked, “Are you sure about that, I mean am I going to be a grandfather soon?”
