“Lawrence, you can put your heart to rest. Once Aria comes back with academic success, you could begin your future together,” Greg said to Lawrence. He was happy for his brother-in-law.

Lawrence had been troubled about their future for a long time now, trying to find the best of both worlds. But now, everything had been solved by his mother. It seemed her plan had satisfied everyone. Lawrence could finally be with Aria and no one would object to it, including the rest of the upper-class circle. They wouldn’t make impertinent comments once they saw the new Aria.

A smile spread across Lawrence’s lips. He didn’t say a word and looked quite composed. His heart beamed at the prospect of their future together. Words couldn’t describe how thrilled he was.

“Lawrence, after we have our dinner, you can choose if you want to stay at home or go to the apartment with Aria. I suggest you spare more time to be with her. She’ll leave after your father and I make the arrangements. Go and be with her,” Cherry said to her son. The die was cast. She had no reason to stop Lawrence from meeting Aria now. They were grown-ups. They could do whatever they wished to do.

“Yes, I know,” Lawrence replied to his mother, feeling utterly grateful.

Watching their conversation, Violet walked over to her mother and put her head on her shoulder. “Mom, rest assured,” she said to her sincerely.

“When Aria comes back, the four of us will be committed to you and father. You will certainly be the happiest parents in the world.”

Cherry’s lips broke into a wide smile at Violet’s words. Holding her son’s hand in one of hers and her daughter’s hand in the other, she felt like she was over the moon. “I’ve always been happy with you two. But Greg,” she suddenly turned to look at Greg and said, “you shouldn’t spoil Violet so much. Otherwise, she will never grow up.”

“Mom,” Violet whined, a bit mortified. Greg smirked at her.

“Mom, you should tell that to Lawrence too. If he doesn’t spoil Aria, I won’t spoil Violet either,” Greg said, grinning wickedly.

“Greg, how dare you! I will make you sleep on the sofa tonight!” Violet fumed, beyond irritated at Greg’s words. Punishment was in order for him!

“I hereby announce that Aria and Violet will still be spoiled like they were before,” Lawrence announced authoritatively, as if what he said was decree.

The living room burst into peals of laughter.

Soon after dinner, Lawrence said goodbye to his parents and drove to Aria’s apartment.

Aria was snuggled up on the couch, watching TV. She was tired and almost fell asleep. When she heard the faint sound of the door opening, she didn’t register it. She didn’t move an inch until a shadow fell over her, blocking the light. “Larry,” Aria shouted in excitement when she saw who it was. She immediately stood up from the sofa and jumped into Lawrence’s arms.

Lawrence stumbled back a little, smiling as he held her tight around the waist. He had missed his woman all day long and had barely waited to see her. He leaned back and looked at her before pressing his lips on hers softly.

After a long time, Lawrence finally let go of Aria. They sat down on the sofa next to each other. Out of habit, Aria snuggled into Lawrence’s arms.

“Why don’t you go to bed and sleep?” Lawrence asked her tenderly, running his hands through her black hair.

“Auntie said you would be back. I’ve been waiting for you,” Aria replied, gazing into his eyes. Lifting her head higher, she grinned at him widely. “Larry, we can finally be with each other in the future!”

Her bright eyes shined up at him. Lawrence was a bit sad and reluctant to let her go. “Would you get used to being alone, when I am not by your side?”

Aria nodded her head profusely. “I have to get used to it even if I don’t want to,” she said, the emotion evident in her voice. “Before, you were the one who compromised for me. Now, let me do something for our love. I must make efforts to become an outstanding woman who deserves you, so we can be together for the rest of my lives.”

Lawrence was touched at her words. His eyes grew soft as he looked down at her lovely face. He was unwilling to be apart from her, but it was the best and only way they could be together forever.

“I will come to see you once you’ve settled abroad,” Lawrence said.

“What about FS Empire? Who will handle the company affairs if you leave for some time?” Aria asked with worry.

“I will find someone suitable to take charge of FS on behalf of me when I am not here,” Lawrence said to her. He had already made up his mind.

“But will Uncle and Auntie agree?” Aria prodded him, still concerned.

“Just relax. I know what to do,” Lawrence assured her Suddenly, he picked her up in his arms and headed toward the bedroom.

My Aria nestled into his arms, sighing. She felt at home.

Soon, moans could be heard from the room. The scent of love emanated in the air.

The following morning, Cherry got up very early. After having a simple breakfast, she went out in haste.

When she arrived at Yuwen villa, she was told that Wilson had gone out on business. Only Selina was home.

“Cherry, I thought you wouldn’t come until noon. I didn’t expect you to be so early!” Selina was a little surprised to see Cherry come to see her this early, but she was excited. She could have a chat with her best friend all alone now.

“I came for something urgent,” Cherry said, smiling at her widely. She took Selina’s hands and sat on the couch in the corridor with her. “When will Uncle and Mom come back?” Cherry asked.

“I don’t know yet. They’ve been in Taiwan for a week now. Their friends asked them to stay for some more days. Let’s just wait for their call. I will pick them up from the airport when they fly back.”
