HIS LUCKY STAR - EPISODE 73 AND 74

BACK IN THE WARD**

Doctor Emmy just finished retreating Skye’s would, it bled as a result of the fall and almost reopened.

“You’re not a kid Skye, learn how to sit quietly when you’re sick” doctor Emmy admonished.

” He’s a total kid, I told him to sit here in the ward and rest but he insisted on cruising the hospital on wheelchair, you should have seen when he was frustrating my life, I hate him” Sunny glared and BB laughed.

Skye giggled loudly and Sunny hit his shoulder hard.

“Ouch!, Stop being a brute, do you even have a heart?, Stop beating a patient” he said.

” Patient?, Who says you’re a patient” Sunny glared and made to hit him again but BB held her hand.

“Hit me instead” she pouted.

“Devil” Sunny said and BB smiled then hugged her.

” You’re lucky, he seems to like you…you see…he disturbs the people he likes the most” BB whispered into Sunny’s ear.

” Huh?”

” You heard me right Sunny, my brother has feelings for you I’m so sure” BB said.

” Impossible” Sunny said.

” Believe it or not, don’t be surprised when he makes a move, don’t slap him please, I know you feel the same” she whispered.

” Hey” Sunny said.

” You like staring at him secretly, I’ve caught you many times so don’t deny” BB whispered.

” Whatever” Sunny said, feeling like she got caught.

“Sun and sky, compatible” BB winked before leaving her

Sunny looked at Skye and he winked immediately.

“Jerk” she said as her cheeks heated up, she rushed out of the ward.

“She likes you too” BB whispered into Skye’s ear.

“I know” he replied and they stuck hands.

“Criminals” Austen said from his bed.

Nikita is laughing at their drama.

“Partners in crime, that’s us” BB said .

“Yeah yeah” Skye said .

” Drew left a while ago” Eddy said.

“I’ll go see him at home tommorow” BB said.

” Me too” Eddy said freely.

” Like how many days are we gonna spend in this hospital?” Skye asked.

” A month and three days” BB said.

“I’d rather die, how do you expect me to sit here for that long when I have business to take care of” Skye said

” Talking about business Skye….you haven’t told me what you’re into” BB said.

” I’m interested too” Austen said.

” Drugs” Skye said.

” What!” BB said.

” Yeah, I made a lot…I mean a huge whole lot of money from drug trafficking in and out of Japan” he replied.

” It’s dangerous!” Austen said.

” I know, I just risked it, the money I made is enough for me to live richly with Bright for the rest of our lives” Skye said

BB went to him and held his shoulders.

“Promise me right now that you’ll quit drugs…now!” She said loudly.

He smiled and sighed.

” Skye I said now!” She ordered.

” Ok promise…happy now?, I have no plans to go back to Japan anyways, I have too many enemies there” he replied.

” Better” she said.

” You can work in MM instead, be the chief director, I’m offering” Austen said.

” Me?” Skye laughed.

” Ion know anything about running a company” he said.

“You’ll learn!” BB said.

” Ok boss” he replied.

” Promise?”

“Promise” he replied.

“Better” she replied.

“She has you wrapped around her fingers, you’re in trouble” Nikita laughed.

” I know right?, And it’s because I love her so much” Skye replied and BB smiled.

Second day**

Drew looks surprised when Eddy and BB showed up in his house, his things were already in the car, what’s left is for him to go out and drive to the airport.

He’s leaving for California,he decided to leave and inform them when he lands.

“Where are you going to?” Eddy asked.

“California” he replied

“And you didn’t tell us yesterday” BB said.

“I’m sorry, I thought about it overnight, my baby sis will be so lonely, I need to go meet her” he replied.

” Dora?” BB said and he nodded.

” Olive left today too, I’m sure she’d be on the flight to China right now with her dad” Eddy sighed.

” She left for China without telling me?, I thought we were friends” BB pouted.

” Don’t feel offended, she left cos her dad got transferred to China, they’d stay permanently and are gonna start afresh,new life.. isn’t that great?” Eddy said.

” I’m happy for her though, can’t believe I’m missing her already” BB said

” And you…if you fail to call me everyday I’ll … ” Eddy glared and Drew smiled.

” I’ll do that, I’ll call you everyday” he replied.

” What about me?” BB asked.

” I can’t…you know why, I have to get over you” he replied and BB went mute.

The air became tense till Drew sighed.

“I should be on my way” he said and they walked him out of the house where Theodore is waiting.

“We’re going together” Drew said.

“Faithful manager” BB said and Theo smiled as he got in the car with Drew.

Drew waved at them as the car moved.

Eddy looked at BB and saw the guilty look on her face.

“You don’t have to feel guilty” he said.

“But still…I feel like I caused him pains, I never wanted to hurt him, I tried to transfer my love to him but it was impossible, i couldn’t force it” she replied slowly.

Eddy hugged her gently.

“It’s not your fault…be happy please” he said.

A week later**

“Can’t believe I’m back home” Das said, entering his house with Nikita and Austen.

It has been rearranged and refurnished.

Thanks to Nikita’s vehement appeal, he was released… coupled with the fact that he actually saved the life of Nikita and Eddy seven years ago.

Miraculously, his voice came back this morning.

He faced Nikita again. “Thanks” he smiled.

“That’ll be the twentieth time you’d say that today, I don’t want to hear it again” she replied

He walked to the dinning room which has so many dishes already.

Regina came out of the kitchen with the last dish wish she placed on the table.

“Welcome back Das” she smiled.

“Thanks for everything madam Regina, I’ll forever be grateful” Das smiled.

“You deserve it Mr Das….my Kita” she smiled and hugged Nikita tightly.

” I’m jealous” Austen said, sitting slowly.

“Don’t mind him” Regina said and continued hugging Kita.

“I’m glad he has you as his mum as least” Nikita said.

” I’m glad to be his mum too” Regina smiled and they sat round the table to eat.

“Delicious as always” Austen smiled.

“Trust me” Regina winked.

” I think you shouldn’t come back to work dad” Austen said.

” Really?”

” Just sit home everyday and rest, I and crazy Skye will take care of everything” Austen said.

” But don’t you think sitting without doing anything is dangerous?, I need to work” he replied.

” Then you can workout every morning” he said.

” You love me so much” Das smiled.

” Whatever” Austen said, smiling secretly.

” Yes, he loves you very very much…. he’ll always talk about you” Nikita said and Austen looked at her, she winked and he had no choice but smile.

Regina hit Das and the two of them lightly.

“It’s wrong to talk while eating” the said.

“Ok decorum” Austen said and she smiled as they continued eating.

A MONTH LATER, A MALL IN CALIFORNIA**

Drew entered the expensive mall with Dora, hand in hand.

She’s six but a total adult…she’s pretty.

“I want that…I want this…I want this.. Drew get me that” she kept pointing at almost everything.

” That’s why I get tired of coming to the mall with you, you’ll always insist on buying things you won’t even use, Dora you’re an handful” he said and she pouted.

” If I’m your girlfriend I know you won’t be talking like this” she replied.

” What do you know about relationships” Drew smiled.

” Everything, I read your novels” she said.

” You’ve been reading them?, Oh gosh you’re too young to read them, I need to start looking the study cos of a brat like you” he said and Dora made puppy face

” You can’t do that, you know it yourself” she said and Drew smiled before bending to peck her.

” Ok let’s start shopping” he said

“This is why I get tired of coming to malls” he said, using his black shades.

He was about to quickly walk to another row when someone blocked him.

“She’s pretty!” Dora whispered beside him.

He took off his shades to behold a pretty long haired girl in front of him, she’s smiling so much.

He blinked and wondered why she blocked him

“You are?” He asked.

“Anna Martin…a model like you, we met last week at the models conference but I guess you didn’t notice me cos you’re not interested in girls” she kept smiling.

” Oh… sorry” he said casually.

“Smile a bit don’t be dumb Drew” Dora whispered beside him

“Shut up ” he whispered back and faced Anna again.

“How may I help?” He asked.

“It was supposed to be nice to meet you ” she replied.

” I’ve not decided weather it’s nice or not” he said.

” I’ll go straight to the point, I’ve always been straightforward and I’ve never told this to any guy before” she said.

” What?” Drew asked.

” I like you” she smiled.

” Wait…what!”

” You can kiss her” Dora whispered beside him.

TEXAX, Hammy’s coffee cafe**

Skye waited in front of it beside his car, expecting when Sunny will come out.

He smiled when she finally came out.

He gave her a long hug.

“Hey what?” She asked.

“Office work is not for me, I mean.. sitting on a darn chair all day, signing papers, accessing files, attending conferences and shit.. I’m tired it’s boring” he said like a kid and Sunny laughed before breaking the hug.

She adjusted his suit and he groaned.

“Kiddo don’t be like this, you’ll surely get acquainted with it with time” she said

” I’ve always wished” he sighed.

“Trust me” she replied and he smiled.

“You look more beautiful tonight” he said.

“Flirt…where are we going?” She asked.

” Let’s eat dinner together then I’ll drop you home” he said.

” I love that” she smiled and got in his car.

He drove off to a restaurant where they ate dinner together while chatting.

He drove her home afterwards and she knowingly took his phone with her while going in.

He waved at her and was about to drive off when he remembered he promised to call BB unfailingly tonight, else he’ll be in trouble.

He couldn’t find his phone when he looked for it, he got out of the car and walked to the house.

Sunny felt happy when he heard him knocking.

She opened the door and he came in.

“Uhhm, Did you see my phone?” He asked.

“I’ll check my bag” she replied and went for it.

She came back with his phone and he smiled, wanting to take it from her.

She knowingly let it go and it fell before he could take it.

He looked at her and her face became affectionate, she started walking slowly to him, closing the gap between them

She placed her palm on his chest and started pushing him to the wall till his back touched it.

He kept looking at her dumbly.

Her lips landed on hers in the next minute and he surprisingly responded fast.

Their lips moved in sync with each other and he let his hands stay down.

She suddenly broke it and she became shy to look him in the eye.

The lights suddenly went off cos his body pressed the switch on the wall and only the light from the lamp shone dimly on their faces.

“I’m… sorry, I just wanted to…to kiss you” she said awkwardly and took a step away from him.

She was about to turn back when he pulled her back to himself and held her waist seductively.

“You have to finish what you started Sun” he whispered and pinned her to the wall instead.

He went for her lips and when it met his own, Sunny gasped out at his lips softness.

It’s really addictive and she kept melting fast into jelly as he kissed her, enchanting her with his tongue on hers.

“I love you Skye” came out of her mouth and Skye smiled for her, breaking the kiss.

“Same emotions” he said and resumed kissing her as the lamp shone dimly on them.

MM group of companies, next day**

“Hey stop looking at me that way” Nikita said, catching Austen for the fifth time, he’s not concentrating.

“Seriously I wanna kiss you” he said, standing up.

“I’ll have to change my office at this rate” she smiled as he got to her and carried her, placing her on the table.

He went between her legs and she drew him closer.

“I feel tired frequently these days” she said.

” Why are you just telling me that?” He replied.

“I thought it’d go but it didn’t” she replied

“Let’s go for test, I’m afraid you can’t get fever you know” he said.

“We’ll go tommorow, you said you wanted to kiss me” she replied and he smiled.

” You’re naughty, so you were expecting it” he said.

” Sure… Kiss your mocha” she smiled and he gently pressed their lips together, moving it in sync as they kissed passionately.

He held her face while she coiled her arms around him.

They were still on it when Skye opened the door and came in.

“Oh .. sorry for interrupting” he grinned but they still didn’t break it.

Austen waved an hand, telling him to leave.

“Whoa, thankfully I now have a girlfriend, you guys can’t make me feel jealous anymore… Continue” he smiled and left.

” I love you Austen”

” I love you Nik” he whispered back, hardening his lips on hers.

Night… A restaurant**

Eddy sat impatiently, waiting for when BB will show up, it’s been a month since he saw her… Since she became a model, she has always been busy traveling around .. no time to spare.

It’s not surprising that she got to be among the top 3 in Texas and three other countries within that short period.

She’s popular and … Pretty..she changed within a month… growing long hair was one of the things she did and he can’t wait to see how she looks with long hair and girls outfit.

Since he relocated from their former house to a mansion with Nikita, BB lives with Skye too in a different mansion.

She just returned from Switzerland today and she was the one who wanted to meet.

He kept imagining how she’d have turned out and that made him smile.

“Bang” her voice said and he looked up to behold a different BB in front of him.

She’s wearing a yellow free but short gown, black heels and bag, her hair is long and dark black!

She’s beautiful!.

“Hi” she smiled and walked in fully, taking her seat in front of him

He kept staring speechlessly till she waved her hand in front of him

“Hey cupcake” she said and he woke up from his trance.

“Brinkley Bright Marshalls?, Is this really you?” He said shockingly.

” Not another person, still the tomboy” she smiled

“I’m seeing things” he said.

” No you’re not, I’ll soon cut my hair, you know I’m not comfortable with long hair” she smiled.

” You look hot like this” he said.

” What about back then?” She asked

” You’re always beautiful trust me” he replied.

” Then I can go with anything” she smiled.

” I missed you” she said.

” Me too, I missed you everyday, not seeing you for a month affected me” he said and she smiled.

” We’re resuming next week” she said.

“Yes, you’re coming back to school right?” He asked.

“Of course, I must finish what I started, we have just one term to go anyways… after that, straight to college” she replied.

” What do you want to eat?” He asked.

” Garnished noodles” she said.

” Really?, It’s the first time I’m hearing you say you want garnished noodles” he said.

” Actually I grew likeness for it while in Switzerland, it’s delicious, try it” she said.

” I’ve tried it once and ion like it…but let’s get it” he said and told the server who left to get their orders immediately.

“Hey who said you could become more handsome when I wasn’t here” she said.

“Who said you could become more pretty when I wasn’t in Switzerland with you” he said and they both laughed.

They stared at each other afterwards and it felt as if all the sounds in the world stopped, only the ones coming from their hearts can be heard.

“Ed” she called and he chuckled.

“I missed hearing you call me that” he said.

“I’ve not told you this before but I think I should do that right now” she said.

He kept staring.

” I can continue calling you cupcake right?” She said and he nodded anxiously.

” I love you Ed” she said and his eyes became passionate, likewise hers.

“I love you seriously cupcake” she said.

Eddy stood and went to her, he pulled her up and held her face.

“You know my heart beats for only you…Thug” he said and she chuckled but it was shortened when he slammed his lips on her right there.

“Ed..” she gasped holding him tightly.

The server dropped their meal on the table and smiled.

It’s a private restaurant so they’re the only ones.

“Sweet love” he said and left them.

Eddy broke it but BB reconnected their lips immediately.
