HIS LUCKY STAR - EPISODE 61 AND 62

“Nik… Kita” Austen stammered, staring unbelievably at her.

Nikita turned her face away from him but he turned it back to himself.

“What are you doing here and what’s… That blood on your gloves?, Why are you even wearing gloves and why the mask?, Why all black and why is my dad like that? ” He asked all at once.

Nikita acted like she has nothing to say for a while before talking.

“Call the ambulance for Das” she said emotionlessly.

Austen remembered the state he met Das and rushed back in .

Nikita used her mask again and walked out of the house, Sunny is waiting at the car.

“Something happened right?, I told you a car is coming but you didn’t reply, didn’t you hear my voice from the transmitter?, Didn’t you use the transmitter? ” Sunny asked immediately and checked her ear.

” You used it, then why didn’t you reply?, Did you get caught?, Did you discuss anything with Das at all? ” She asked.

” My head is in a total mess already can you just stop talking!” Nikita yelled unintentionally.

Sunny sighed and started the car.

“I guess it wasn’t good in there” she said.

” Just let’s go” Nikita said, staring out as Sunny drove off.

TWENTY MINUTES LATER**

Das has been moved to the hospital together with the dead maids.

The cops are in the mansion currently, searching the scenes while Austen just gaped senselessly, he still can’t get what’s happening.

“I found this” a cop said, picking a small emblem on the living room floor.

The prosecutor took it from him and checked… something was written inside the emblem boldly

PROJECT F3

Austen took a closer look at it and remembered he has seen files concerning the project in this house before.

The emblem was kept by the cops and they continued the search.

“We’ll have to take you in for interrogation” the prosecutor said to Austen.

He said nothing but just followed them willingly.

His head is turning around already, ready to go gaga.

He called the doctor during the journey and asked about Das’s health.

“A pipe in his throat got affected but we were able to save him luckily, but there might be a problem with talking if he eventually survives it” doctor Emmy said and Austen folded his fist hurtfully.

” Dad ” he muttered, closing his eyes .

” Don’t worry Mr Austen, he’ll be fine” doctor Emmy said and Austen hung up.

They got to the station and he was taken in for interrogation.

“What exactly happened?” The prosecutor asked.

“Dad called some minutes after seven and told me he had something to tell me, he told me to come see him, he wanted us to talk over dinner” he replied.

” Then?”

” I was reluctant to go cos I really had a tiring day but he insisted so I decided to go but…when I got there, the door was unusually left opened, I got curious and rushed in…only to find the dead maids in blood…in the living room, I found dad in his room, he was bleeding from a wound on his neck” he explained.

” There was no one in the house with him except you?”

Austen sniffed gently, remembering how he saw Nikita.

“No” he said.

“Are you sure Mr Austen?”

“Very well” he replied.

“Have you ever seen this in the house before?” The prosecutor asked, bringing the wrapped emblem.

” I once saw some files concerning the project in dad’s drawer” he replied and the prosecutor nodded.

” So what happened is related to this particular project, this definitely fell from the perpetrator” the prosecutor said.

A cop came in immediately.

“The CCTV in front of the house was destroyed, we got no footage from it” he reported.

The prosecutor sighed and faced Austen.

” Does he have a grudge with anyone you know?”

” No, he’s an easy-going person, he fights with no one” he replied.

” No company enemies?”

” No one” he replied.

“Then can we see the files about the project?, The one you saw” the prosecutor asked.

” It’s in his drawer in his bedroom” he replied.

The cop left the room for the search immediately.

“Can I go now?, I need to go somewhere” Austen said.

Nikita’s place**

Nikita got in and sat on the bare ground.

She removed her face cap and dipped her finger into her hair frustratedly.

She remembered the scenes over and over again, breathing hard afterwards.

BB came out of the room, yawning so loud.

“Gosh!, I slept off while waiting for you, how was it?, Did you talk to him?” She asked.

” No” she replied.

“Why?, He wasn’t at home?”

Nikita stood and walked to her, she hugged her tightly.

“Hey why?” BB asked, hugging her back.

Someone knocked and BB broke the hug.

” Who could that be?” She asked, walking to the door.

Immediately she opened the door, Austen waltzed in and went straight to Nikita.

Nikita gave him a cold look and he held her shoulders.

“What exactly happened back there” he said, looking straight at her.

” It’s just exactly like it looked” she replied without blinking.

” What!”

” Yes, I wanted to kill him” Nikita said .

“It’s not true….no it’s not” Austen said unbelievably.

” You can choose not to believe, I don’t care, I did it to him” she replied.

” Kita what’s going on” BB said confusedly.

” And why would you try to kill my dad!” Austen yelled.

“Cos he was part of the F3 project!” Nikita yelled back.

” Huh?”

” You’re so dumb and you dunno what it all means… F3 project is all about me” she said.

Austen slowly let go of her shoulders, staring at her shockingly.

“My blue blood can neutralize poison, they’re after me… Just to drain my blood and make it into expensive antidotes” she said.

” Kita!” BB shouted.

” Don’t butt in!” She yelled back

“The Malcolm family…I mean your dad and stepmom….the Fabio said and the Kaz family plus doctor Claus Higgins…they’re the members of the project and that’s why I approached you, Das was my first target, I made you fall for me so it’d be easy to punish him, I never loved you Austen” she said and Austen’s mouth dropped open.

” My eyes….was taken away while I was running away from them seven years ago, I approached you so I could get it back with your help and now that I got back my sight, no reason to pretend to love you anymore, I’m gonna kill everyone involved in the project without leaving anyone out I swear!” She yelled, breathing so heavily.

Austen shifted back, looking at her as if she’s a new Nikita.

This is surely not the Nikita he knew…not her. Not the girl he dreams of spending the rest of his life with.

“What are you talking about” he said slowly, trying hard to bring out the words.

“It’s just like you heard me say, Austen Malcolm” Nikita smirked.

BB came to Nikita and held her hand. ” What nonsense are you saying?” She said.

Nikita took her hand from her. “It’s the truth” she said flatly.

Austen walked slowly out of the house without looking back at once.

He got to his car and buried his face on the trunk, he’s unaware of when he started crying so loud .

“No it’s not true, she’s lying… she can’t do that to me…she can’t…it was all lies….no Nikita…. not you” he cried loudly.

BACK IN**

“So there’s a huge secret like this” Eddy said, coming out of the room.

” Eddy” BB gasped.

“I was planning to tell you” Nikita said, wiping her tears.

“I’m your brother for crying out loud!, If anyone should know about it then it’s me cos we ran all the race together Nikita!, Our parents were killed cos your special blood was needed for a damn project which involves three families and doctor Claus?, How the f*ck am I just hearing about that!” He yelled .

” You have every right to get angry Eddy, I’m sorry” Nikita said.

Eddy stormed out of the house without waiting.

” I’ll follow him” BB said and went in to pick a sweater.

” By the way….I found my big brother” she said to Nikita who only hiccupped.

She rushed out and went after Eddy.

She searched a lot before finding him beside an orchard, he sat on the bench in front of it, crying.

She walked to him and sat beside him.

“If there’s one thing I hate, it’s when guys are too soft and emotional” she said.

Eddy continued crying.

” She kept it cos she doesn’t want you to share the pain” she said.

” Why will she experience pains alone, we were supposed to experience everything together…both the pains and pleasure, she made me believe everything is alright, she kept smiling, hiding everything away while I believed her….I feel so bad that she had to suffer so much alone” he cried.

BB sighed and scooted closer.

“Still…you should know she’s your big sis, she can’t bear to see you in pain” she said and he continued crying.

” Crying Eddy looks ugly I swear, your mouth looks stupid right now” she said and he looked at her, he cried more.

” Oh no….ok sorry” she said.

He started sniffed lightly.

“She kept it from you cos she knew you’d do this if she told you” she said.

” I’m so hurt, she went through a lot alone” hiccuped.

“I went through a lot alone too…my brother wasn’t even with me throughout but now he came back to be with me, you won’t know how happy I am to have him back despite the fact that he abandoned me, but you…you have her beside you,the only problem is the secret she kept… don’t you think you’re lucky to have her?” She said.

Eddy wiped his tears. ” Did she really kill Mr Das?” He asked.

” Don’t you trust your sis?, I can bet my life and my afterlife that she didn’t…not when he backed out of the project already and he even announced the death of you and her seven years ago”

” He was the one?” Eddy asked.

” Yes, Nikita didn’t do anything I’m sure, maybe wrong timing.. and I think I need to tell you my story too” BB said.

” You have a sad story too?” He said.

” Very sad” she replied and he listened attentively as she started telling her story.

Her eyes won’t agree to return to their normal position after she finished saying it.

“Drew is an orphan who had the eyes of your mum?, Mr and Mrs Kaz are….. monsters!!!” He screamed.

Next day**

Hammy’s coffee cafe**

Skye entered the cafe eagerly, he can’t wait to meet BB again.

He has been stalking her since they met and she caught him yesterday, she begged her like crazy before she agreed to meet her here.

“Hi I’m sunny, your server … ” A female voice said Immediately he sat.

He looked up and saw her, he smiled handsomely.

“You’re pretty” he said and Sunny scowled.

“I know flirts like you, it won’t work” she said and walked away, meeting BB behind her.

“He’s so ugly right?” BB said.

“He’s handsome” Sunny whispered.

” That uglyface is handsome?, That’s funny” she laughed

“What are you doing here anyways?” Sunny asked.

” I came to meet him, unfortunately he’s my big bro,how embarrassing” BB said and Sunny gasped.

BB sat in front of Skye and he smiled.

“I missed you” he said.

“You stalked me like crazy, you shouldn’t have time to miss me” she said.

” Still I missed you, you haven’t changed a bit…you should be a little more girlish you know, grow long hair” he said.

” Are we here to talk about my hair?” She rolled eyes.

” I love you” Skye said and BB scoffed.

” I hate monkeys” she said.

“You must be so cruel, how will you hate yourself” Skye said.

” Skye!” She shouted, drawing attention.

Skye smiled.

“I’ll really kill you, I have a gun you know” she scowled.

“Are you really contesting for the showcase?” He asked.

“Yes, I…Eddy, Melissa…. Olive… Drew and four other students” she replied.

” Drew is contesting?”

“Yeah I visited him today, I was able to convince him, he has been crying, thinking his world is coming to an end, that dumbo….I did a lot to convince him before he could agree” she replied.

” Cool, did you get your dress ready?” He asked

“Ion have time for that, I’m just gonna contest naturally’ she replied.

” Natural my foot, come on let’s go shop” he said and pulled her out of the cafe.

” Hey I’m not interested in shopping!” She argued.

“You’ll shop” he insisted, dragging her out.

” I’m not shopping” she said stubbornly.

“And I’m saying you’ll shop” he replied and continued pulling her.

” Skye I seriously hate force!” She said.

“Bsquare I seriously hate arguments!”

“I’m the one competing not you!”

” The fact that you’re my baby sis makes it my business” he replied, finally dragging her out .

Sunny laughed so loud after watching their drama.

“Whoever made them siblings is a joke” she cackled.

Night…. Sunshine High School Events Hall***

The loud electronic songs blarring from the speakers is enough to verify that something big is happening in the hall

Beautiful lights were used to decorate and write SUNSHINE HIGH MODELLING SHOWCASE in front of the hall and inside the hall.

Everywhere is bubbling with excitement already. The hall is full of students, no one will dare miss it.

The school blog is full of gists.

“Who’ll win the face of sunshine High girls and who’ll win the face of sunshine high boys?”

” I think we’re good to go right now….” The MC announced and everyone became attentive.

“Are you guys ready to see the contestants?” He said.

“Sure!!!” Everyone screamed!”

“Ok without wasting a minute, I present to you the first contestant from the male category…. Axel Green!” The MC announced and everyone screamed as he came on stage.

Wearing a black shirt on black trousers, his dress sense is simple but cool…he’s handsome!

He smiled handsomely as the spotlight came on on him.

The screams died down and the second contestant came up…he received a loud ovation too.

Next up is Eddy in a wine shirt, and black trousers he dyed his hair dark black, it’s shinning with his face…he’s cute!

The screams became louder when Drew came in… students almost brought down the hall with screams.

He’s rocking red on red, his lips is red, maybe red lipstick.

He only changed his hairstyle and went with no bangs….no colour change.

Some girls fainted at his hotness, he’s not smiling though.

Olive came in first in the female category, looking too pretty.

Her gown is yellow with white flower designs, her hair was curled and she looks just natural.

Melissa followed…her big earrings can be the size of an head, she fixed lashes long enough to make her fly, her red gown is short, it stopped between her things.

Her makeup is crazy hot!

She smiled arrogantly as she climbed the stage, made proud poses before going to her spot.

The third contestant came in next and… BB is up next.

“She wasn’t in the dressing room, she didn’t come I think, she must be so scared to contest with me” Melissa thought.

” I guess the third contestant is not available…so we move to the…

“She’s available!” Skye screamed from the door, trying to push BB in.

“I can’t disgrace myself you know” BB said, trying to stand straight on the heels

It’s the first time she’ll be wearing heels and it feels so strange. Her white gown is so wide and it feels like she’d fly if only the wind could blow, it’s dragging on the ground.

The makeup on her face feels awkward too and her short hair has been dyed back to black…

She feels stupid.

“Go i gat you, you’re so beautiful that I might have to disown you as my sis and date you after this competition” Skye said, kissing her cheek.

” I don’t want to go” she said but he pushed her in.

She stood with her face stuck on the ground for a minute and everyone became silent, staring at her.

“Ok Brinkley Bright Marshalls, BB Marshalls, Bsquare Marshalls, you gat to do this, remember you have to disgrace Melissa, you can do this” she said in her mind before looking up.

Every eyes widened as the spotlight moved to her from the door.

She looks different and….. absolutely foxy!, She’s beautiful!

Olive couldn’t hide her shock… Eddy swallowed hard, Drew just smiled handsomely. He has always known she’s beautiful though he’s shocked too.

Melissa couldn’t close her mouth as BB started walking to the stage majestically.

Though Skye made her learn how to walk on heels for the whole of today but it felt like she has been wearing it for long.

She has that pretty sassy cold look on her face as she walked.

Everyone made videos of her walking steps, made videos of her face, her uncommon makeup…her pretty expensive gown.

And when she stylishly raised up part of her gown, some quickly snapped her expensive white heels.

She turned around stylishly when she got to the stage and students won’t stop screaming madly at this goddess of beauty who just entered.

She continued the walk to stand on her spot and the spotlight is still on her.

“Did she get plastic surgery overnight?, Shit what’s all this….f*ck!” Melissa thought hatefully as BB stood beside her.

She looked at her and BB winked cutely.

“The gown I’m wearing right now can feed you and your mum for a year, should I tell you the price? ” She said.

Melissa folded her fist, wishing she could punch her.

BB smiled and looked at Drew who’s still staring… Then she looked at Eddy who’s staring too.

“I know I’m hotter than hell, come on stop staring” she thought.

The students are still screaming.

Skye blew her kisses from where he’s standing and she smiled.

“I’m glad you came back to me” she thought.
