Austen blinked severally, his heart missed a beat when he beheld her perfect face

Her face is small and every part of it is cute and small too, her nose, lips, ears….her brows are like someone sculptured them

In his whole life, he has never seen a beauty like the one he’s staring at right now but….her eyeballs aren’t moving, she just kept sitting, looking at a direction

“Boss!” Ray said loudly, bringing him back to his senses

Nikita quickly stood from his laps and he stood too, adjusting his suit

“I’m so sorry sir, I’m sorry… Nikita what have you done” Hammy said, coming to the scene

” It wasn’t my fault sir, I stumbled on something” Nikita replied slowly

” I’m Hammy, the owner of this cafe, I’m so sorry about her mistake” Hammy said

” I should be the one apologizing, I sat too carelessly, my leg was on the way so she stumbled on my shoes” he replied

” I’m sorry sir, I can’t see, I’d have avoided it” Nikita said and her voice is making him want to listen to her again, so tiny like a baby’s

“It’s…ok, I’m sorry” he said, still staring at her

” I’m sorry once again sir” Hammy said

“It’s really ok, but….how is she managing to be a server when she can’t…see?” He said, gesturing at Nikita who’s still standing still on her spot

“Oh…well she’s my best server , she might be blind but trust me when I say she’s talented and smart, she knows everything about this cafe and brews the best coffees” Hammy replied and Nikita smiled brightly

Austen beheld the smile and his heart missed another beat…. It’s too adorable and her small cute lips made it look more cute

“Boss the time is some minutes to 9 already” Ray said and Austen sat

” The menu” he said and Nikita quickly handed it over

He took it and looked it over before facing her

“I usually take only piccolo latte but two days ago, I made mocha for myself, it was sweet and I think I love it, I should change taste, make me a cup of mocha, add two spoons of chocolate powder please” he said

” In a bit sir” she smiled and left to make it,,

Austen sighed, swallowing nothing and looking at his phone, it’s 9 already but he just wants to taste the coffee maybe it’s just like Hammy said

He looked at Ray and saw him staring

“I just need to take it” he said

“I understand,…but sir Das” Ray replied

” Ion care, he’d slap or punch or kick me, I’m used to it, I’ll just prepare myself, I’ve been preparing since Jillian left last night” he replied

” I wish you could see him, seriously he’s so handsome” Sunny said as Nikita brewed Austen’s coffee

“Don’t talk to me, I need to concentrate I don’t want to make mistakes” she replied, adding two spoons of chocolate powder

” Two spoons?” Sunny said

“That’s what he asked for” Nikita replied, mixing it before adding steamed milk and foam on top then she sprinkled chocolate powder again and took it to him on a tray

She got there and placed it in front of him

“Enjoy” she said

“Wait” he replied and she stayed, waiting for what he has to say

He took a sip from the coffee and his eyes widened, he took another sip

“F*vk, this tastes like paradise” he muttered and looked at her

*You can go” he said

“Thanks sir, we hope for more of your patronage” she smiled before leaving

Austen finished the cup of coffee and dropped the cash on the table before leaving with Ray

He got to the door and looked back at her again, he caught a glimpse of her before stepping out

“He dropped hundred dollars” Sunny said, getting the money from the table

” What!, Did he not read the menu well?, Mocha is fifteen dollars” Nikita said and Sunny smiled

” What were you expecting, he’s rich and generous so he just showed his generosity” she said, dropping the money in the wide drawer

“Then he must really be kind like people say” Nikita smiled and her phone rang….” Incoming call from Eddy… incoming call from Eddy!”

She got it and tapped it twice

“Eddy why….

“This is Melissa… Melissa Malcolm if you need the full name, your worthless brother is on his way to the station with me right now, you both think you can do that to me and go scot free?, No….” She said and hung up

Nikita’s started shivering with sudden cold immediately

“Kita are you ok?” Sunny asked, holding her quickly

“My …my Eddy…. Melissa arrested…. arrested him” she stuttered slowly, her hands shaking ok her phone

” What!” Sunny said

BB halted the bike in front of the shop and came down straight

She plugged in her earpiece, playing one of her best songs FLY by nickiminaj ft Rihanna

As she sang, she made tomboy moves, dancing crazily while jumping on her sneakers

I wish today it’ll rain all day….

“Brinkley Bright!” Her boss, Mister Rick called from the door but she couldn’t hear, the earpiece is so loud

“Brinkley Bright!” He called again and almost lost his voice , coughing afterwards

” Jeez!, I regret the day I took her in as one of my delivery boys…oh girls, it’s even hard to call her a girl f*ck!” He complained , going to her

He tapped her and called her name again

“Brinkley Bright”

She stopped and looked at him before removing her earpiece

” Just because I introduced myself as Brinkley Bright doesn’t mean you have to call me the full fourteen lettered name…call me BB”

“You always talk to me as if we’re age mates… for goodness sake I’m your boss!” Mister Rick shouted

” If you get sore throat because of me, I won’t offer water” she smiled

” Just shut it….now why did you go home with the delivery bike last night?, The rule is that no delivery boy must go home with the bike” he said

” I was tired and I figured out walking to the bus station to board a bus will be stressful so I took it” she replied, throwing bubble gum in her mouth

” How many times do you want me to repeat myself BB, were you sent here to make me lose my voice?, Huh?”

” Are there no deliveries today?, Should I go home?” She replied, ignoring his question

” Gosh….when will you change” Mister Rick said

“Maybe when I die” she replied and he laughed.

” Always the same…you’re delivering pizza to the station first”

” Oh really?, I’ll get to meet my cops friends again, leggo!” She winked and entered the shop

” I can’t help but love her that way, she’s the best” Mister Rick smiled, going in with her

Police station**

“You think you can hurt my daughter and go scot free?” Jillian said, pushing Eddy’s chest

” I’m very sure it was her who tried shit, and I know it wasn’t Eddy who threw the stone and even if it was him, then she deserves it” Olive replied in his defense

She actually insisted on following him when the cops came to arrest Eddy in school

“Miss Melissa Malcolm’s statement here said she was just talking to you as a friend and trying to make peace when you hurt her forehead with a stone” one of the cops said, pointing at Melissa’s plastered forehead

“Have we ever talked as friends?, How could you tell such a blatant lie, you bullied my sis and almost hurt her yet I did nothing but here you are… Saying I threw the stone Melissa, did I steal from you in your past life?, Why can’t you just leave me alone!” He yelled, breathing heavily

” Cops, he’s going to jail straight, my daughter can’t tell lies, when he spends three weeks in jail, his brains will come back, no one hurts my Lissa and go scot free” Jillian said

” Sure madam, serious action will be taken” the cop replied

“Seriously?, Why is the law always on the side of the rich?, She has no evidence that he threw the stone!* Olivia shouted

“Then do you have an evidence that I pushed your sis?* Melissa said, sticking out her tongue at Eddy

“Shameless b*tch!” He spat and Jillian came closer , she slapped his cheek and he looked at her defiantly

“Wanna hit me back?, Do that and get it doubled to six weeks in jail without a drop of water in your mouth” Jillian said, smiling evilly

” Eddy!” Nikita said from the door, she came in with Sunny

“Kita!” Eddy said and she started running to where she heard his voice from, she crashed into a table and fell

“Nikita!* Sunny shouted and ran to help her up

” Take me to Eddy please, take me” she said and Sunny led her to him

She made to hug him but Jillian pushed her and Sunny quickly held her

“He’s going to jail right now, you can’t touch him so bounce off” she said

“Please don’t lock up my brother I beg you, don’t do that to me he’s the only one I have” she said pitifully

” I forgot how to take pity since long ago so save your tears blind poor girl” Melissa sneered and Nikita went on her knees

” Sis!” Eddy said, trying to go to her but he was blocked

“Please don’t lock him up, lock me up instead” Nikita said

” Kita what are you doing!” Eddy said, struggling to go meet her

“Shut up already….. please just lock me up instead, let my brother go” she pleaded

Melissa smiled, enjoying the scene

Sunny which she could do something and Olive is thinking the same,,

Eddy made to forcefully break free but someone entered the station which made him stop

BB came in ruggedly with her earpiece on but immediately she saw the scene, she removed it from her ears and dropped the pizza she came to deliver on the table

“Holy cigarette….what the hell is happening here” she said, moving closer

” BB you came to deliver pizza, do it and leave” the cop in charge of the case said

” Dude, how can I just leave when my neighbors are surely getting accused wrongly” she said, looking at Melissa hatefully as she entered the circle

She gave the cops holding Eddy a kick each and they fell, releasing him…he went straight to Nikita and helped her up before hugging her

“Stop right now or you’ll get locked up again” the cop said, standing up to BB

” Jail don’t faze me and you’re aware…so stop that dude….I have the evidence right here with me and I’m also a witness” she replied, bringing out her phone

” What are you talking about” Melissa said

“When I’m talking, brats aren’t allowed to talk, I’ll wound you I swear” BB replied dangerously and Melissa got scared a bit, moving closer to her mum

“What evidence are you talking about” Jillian said and BB played a video on her phone

She gave it to the cop and the cop sighed as he watched it

It’s a video of how Melissa kicked Nikita’s leg and how she almost fell but Eddy held her

“What’s this miss Melissa?” The cop said , showing her the video

Melissa and Jillian watched it and Melissa held Jillian’s hand

“Mum” she murmured, looking at her

“Let’s leave” Jillian said and drew her hand out of the station

” Bloody motherf*ckers” BB said and faced the cop

“I think I’ll be coming here soon” she smiled

“You haven’t been reported this month, let this month run out before you come again” the cop replied

” See you soon dude!” She winked and led them out

” Thanks a lot BB” Nikita said Immediately they got out

“it’s ok, good thing I recorded the scene” BB replied

“Thanks” Olive said

” Thanks babe” Sunny said

” I hate people calling me that” she replied

“You really don’t look like a girl, you look boyish but you’re pretty” Olive said

” Oh no… Not again, I hate when people say that too” she replied

“But you’re really beautiful” Olive said

” Should I kick you and send you flying to San Francisco?” She replied and Nikita laughed

” I’ve been expecting that” she said

” Baby boy” BB said, locking his neck in her arm

” Hey stop” he said

” You won’t thank me for saving you?, You’d have been in jail by now and I’m sure you’ll get beaten by tough criminals, you’ll probably lose close to six tooth in the first ten minutes” she said

” Thanks” Eddy said and she winked before releasing him

” But what were you saying about coming back to the station soon” Nikita said

” Now that I think about it….I wanna go to sunshine high, tommorow is Friday, I’ll just go for the exams tommorow and after I get in, I’ll wait for this Melissa of a girl to trespass, once she does, I’ll hit her and make her plead for mercy, what do you think will happen next….jail straight, I can’t wait” she replied and left fast, plugging in her earpiece as she mounted her bike and drove away

Olive looked at Eddy and Eddy smiled

“How can a girl he happy that she’s going to jail” she said

“You see her as a girl?, Not me…I see her as something else” Eddy said

*Thanks for taking me here” Nikita said to Sunny

“I love you” Sunny replied and Nikita hugged her

“I’m glad you weren’t locked up anyways, I’d have cried a lot” Olive said

” Crybaby” Eddy said and she bit her lip

“Take it to chairman Das, he’ll be the one to sign this, not me” Austen said after taking a look at the documents his secretary brought

“I’ve taken them to his office but he’s not around” she replied

” Then you should have dropped it there, I can’t sign these, didn’t you see chairman’s signature below the line?” He said and Lora took the documents

” I’ll go drop them right now” she said and he nodded, she left the office and Austen yawned slowly

He checked the time in his watch and sighed, it’s exactly past 6 and today has been hectic, it’s surprising that Das hasn’t come but he’s still expecting him anyways

He suddenly started craving for coffee again and his mind went to earlier in the morning

“I’m sorry sir, I can’t see, I’d have avoided it” her voice said and he imagined the scene again,,

“Why is she blind?’ he wondered and stood, dipping his hand into his hair as he walked round the office

Regina’s call rang on his phone and he picked quickly

“Mum” he smiled

“When are you coming I miss you” she said

” Right now, just twenty minutes from now” he replied and hung up .

He shut down his laptop and walked out of the office, coming across Das who was just about to enter his office

“Get back into that office now!” He said authoritatively

“I’m sorry but I can’t obey that right now, you can decide to slap me tomorrow, I’ll take everything but for now, I can’t” he replied flatly and left

” Austen!, Austen!!’ Das called but he won’t look back till he left the building completely

He didn’t bother to wait for Ray, he got in his car and told his driver to take him to Regina’s place

They drove past the coffee cafe and coincidentally, Eddy is just coming out of it with Nikita

“Stop the car” he said and his driver obeyed immediately

He stopped the car right in front of the cafe and he watched her smiling as Eddy held her hand, going down the road with her

“She’s blind but hardworking” he smiled

“Move closer to them” he said and the driver moved the car a bit, stopping beside them

*Why did the car stop beside us” Eddy said, looking at the foreign posh car

Austen winded down his tinted windows and smiled handsomely

“Who are you” Eddy asked

“Hi I’m Austen Malcolm” he said and Nikita recognized his voice immediately

” The billionaire who came for mocha in the morning?” She said

” Yes” he replied

” You know him?” Eddy asked

” Yes, he’s a nice person” she replied, smiling as usual

” Oh, good evening” Eddy greeted

” Same here, are you guys going home?” He asked

” Yes, we’re actually going to the bus station to board the bus” Nikita replied

” You don’t mind if I drop you off right?” He asked, looking directly at Nikita

Eddy noticed that and covered her

“No thanks” he said and wanted to start pulling her away

“Hey he was just trying to help” Nikita said

” But he looks slimy” he whispered

” He’s kind I told you” Nikita said

” You can’t judge a book by its cover” he replied

“Are we in a library right now?” Nikita said

Austen is still looking at them, waiting for an answer, he’s supposed to be with Regina already but…

“Ok we don’t mind” Eddy said after much thought

Austen smiled and opened the door

Eddy helped Nikita in first and she sat beside Austen then Eddy sat beside her

” House 4 Elizabeth crescent” Eddy said to the driver and he moved the car

Austen has been staring at Nikita since she came in, unable to stop staring especially now that she’s sitting beside him

Eddy noticed and can’t help but feel uncomfortable with it,,

He tried to overlook but he just couldn’t, he always thinks guys who stares at her like that are perverts and he’s just one of them.. maybe he’s overprotective but he doesn’t care

“Stop the car” he told the driver and he brought the car to an halt

He switched seats with Nikita and sat beside Austen instead, that made Austen look at him

He smiled cutely but shortly

“Stare at me instead” he glared..
