HIS LUCKY STAR - EPISODE 42 AND 43

Sara smiled satisfactorily when Nikita fell flat on the chair, she withdrew the injection from her neck and smiled, looking at it.

She walked closer to Nikita and hit her right cheek lightly

“Now that you’re dead, let’s see how Austen is gonna be yours again” she laughed and kept the needle.

She tried to look innocent as she started walking out of the office but she was suddenly grabbed by someone from behind, her back thudded on the wall and she came face to face with Nikita, her white eyeballs glaring.

Her heart almost jumped out of her mouth as she stared breathlessly.

*She was supposed to be dead, how come she’s alive and so strong, the doctor said the poison is so dangerous that it kills within one second, then what’s this?*.

“Poison?” Nikita said, curving her lips mockingly.

“Wh…why?” Sara stuttered shockingly.

“Why?, You mean why I’m not dead by now?, Well maybe you injected the wrong person” She said glaringly.

Sara tried freeing herself but Nikita pinned her more tightly to the wall.

“I might be blind, but I’m not a weakling, what do you take me for” she said, every work planting fear in Sara’s mind.

” What. . what are you?” Sara stammered.

Nikita gave her a bold smile before falling on the floor, passing out immediately.

Sara rushed out of the office immediately.

A thunderous applause followed after Austen finished the enjoyable presentation.

Though it was hard cos he kept fidgeting without knowing the reason but he tried his best to hide the weird fear so he did well.

He saw Das smiling secretly and he felt glad.

“That’s why you’re always my role model boss, I wanna be like you” one of the staffs said.

” I learnt a lot today, thanks to you boss”

“I’ll put all what you taught Into good use for this company”

” MM will surely do more better”

” We love you boss!”

Austen smiled at the jovial staffs before leaving the room.

He got out and heaved an heavy sigh.

“That was….hard” he said and started walking straight to his office.

He misses Nikita already despite the fact that it had barely been one hour.

Das came out to talk to him but saw he has left already, he adjusted his glasses and made to go to his office but he suddenly heard Austen’s voice.

“Nikita!’ Austen shouted when he entered his office only to find her lying down unconsciously.

He rushed to her and carried her in his arms without wasting a second, multiple fear ran around his mind as he rushed out of his office, meeting Das by the door.

“What’s happening?” Das asked, looking at Nikita’s unconscious body in his arms.

” I dunno!” He snapped and entered the elevator which he rode down.

He ran all the way to his car and gently placed her in.

Without waiting for his driver, he drove roughly to the hospital in a jiffy, he took her in and she was taken from him into a VVIP ward where she was attended to.

He stood behind the doctors in the ward curiously, watching as they checked her vitals.

“Nothing is wrong with her” the doctor in charge said

” What?, Nothing?”

” Yes nothing, her vitals are perfectly ok, she just needs rest, she’ll wake up some minutes from now”

” But she…why did she faint” he said confusedly.

” It might be stress, like I said she’s ok so Mr Austen, be calm” the doctor said and Austen sighed as the doctor left.

He walked to her bed and sat beside her.

“You fainted cos of stress?, You’ve been stressing yourself?, Why?” He said, looking more closely at her.

” I’m sorry for snubbing you yesterday, you didn’t even talk to me throughout today, I’m sorry I promise never to do it anymore” he said.

” Is she ok now?” Das asked, coming in.

“Dad?, What are you doing here?” He asked surprisingly.

” I followed you..I was curious about what was wrong, but seems she’s ok now” he replied and Austen sighed.

” Yes… she’s fine” he said, sitting back.

“Good job at the presentation” he said

” Thanks” Austen replied without looking at him.

” You can stay with her, I’ll take care of everything else at the company” he said

Austen decided not to reply till Das left.

He looked at Nikita and tried holding her hand but her eyes flew open and she sat up immediately.

“Where am I?” She asked. She knows Austen is there judging by his body scent.

“Nik you’re finally awake” he said happily.

“Where am I?” She asked, sniffing the air again, it smells like hospital.

“You fainted so I brought you to the hospital” he replied.

” What!, Hospital?, Why would you bring me to an hospital. Why!!!” She screamed, holding her head .

” Why are you like this” he said slowly.

“I hate hospitals with all my being!” She snapped, getting down from the bed.

She almost crashed on the heater stand but Austen quickly held her.

“Leave me alone!” She snapped, taking her arm from him.

” What’s wrong?” He asked worriedly.

“Never make the mistake of bringing me to the hospital anymore, I’m not Ill” she said.

” You fainted and you expect me to sit and watch?, What are you talking about?” He said.

She started walking out without waiting for him, he quickly rushed to hold her but she broke free again.

“This is an hospital for crying out loud, not your house so please” he said and she stood still, he held her arm and guided her out of the hospital.

He got in his car with her and drove straight to her house.

She came out of the car and entered the house fast without waiting for him

“Can today get any worse?, Why is she behaving like this what did I do again she’s driving me crazy with this attitude hell!” Austen complained loudly.

He looked at the house again and decided to go back to the office.

Nikita got in and locked the door behind.

She breathed hard and walked to the room, she started pacing around and later sat on the bed.

“Kaz family, Fabio family… Malcolm family, project F3” she said, seething with anger as she remembered all the scenes of what happened….. seven years ago.

“I’ve not started yet, I have to get my sight back before anything” she said and stood.

Her mind went to Austen and she felt bad

“I yelled at him, he’d be as worried as hell” she said and took her phone, she made to call him but stopped herself.

She threw her phone on the bed and followed.

“I knew it’d be hard not to fall in love, I just … I knew it, feelings will ruin everything but it’s the only way to do handle this, yes I love him, I can’t deny that but… I know what to do” she thought.

Sunshine High**

BB stood in front of the disciplinary committee that were summoned in the big hall

A lot of the rich parents are present too, she kept looking at everyone as if they meant nothing and no matter what, she knows the cause of all these. Melissa.

She folded her fist as more people came into the hall, Jillian was among the last set of parents to come in.

She smiled wickedly at her and she smiled back, surprising Jillian.

“The committee meeting shall start now” the Principal said immediately he came in to take his seat.

” BB Marshalls, a senior student has the purse of a teacher in her bag earlier today which was found by the teacher herself Miss Kate, this has been considered as stealing and an act which this school detests a lot, the punishment is always immediate expulsion but the student kept saying she’s innocent, we expect the views of everyone in attendance today over this” the Principal said.

” What views again?, She should be expelled immediately!” Jillian said straight and BB smiled.

” Yes, she should leave the school, the school won’t want thieves to multiply” Miss Kate the ethics teacher said.

” Are they in this together?” BB thought.

Yes, she should be expelled.

She’s not supposed to be here

She’s a disgrace to sunshine high.

If she stays, then I’m withdrawing my kids, they can’t learn in same environment as her

She should leave the school already.

“Enough!” BB screamed after she felt she has watched enough scenes.

They all went shut and faced her.

“You all think I’m happy to be in this school?, A school that treats commoners like trash?, How funny…I came here cos my sis insisted I should learn and I can still remember writing exams to get in, i can still remember getting admitted here by the school management and now you all want to get me expelled cos of a mere lie?, I didn’t steal that purse, I didn’t!” She shouted and everyone moved on their seats.

She walked from the middle to Jillian’s seat.

She placed her palms on the table and looked at her like a villain.

“What do you think you’re doing” Jillian said.

“I entered the office with Drew Kaz and your daughter… and I can boldly say your daughter did that to me” she said

” Why would my daughter steal a purse” Jillian said.

” Isn’t it obvious?, It is to indict me, how much is in the purse?” She asked, facing Miss Kate

” Two hundred thousand dollars” she replied and BB laughed.

“Why would I steal your two hundred thousand dollars when I have over thirty times that amount in my account” she said and everyone gasped.

” I can bet it with anything that she didn’t steal it” Drew said, coming in Immediately.

BB walked to him and glared. “Why are you just coming!”

“I’m sorry” he said and faced the committee.

“We entered the office at the same time and I can boldly say she didn’t steal anything, even before then, she’s not someone like that” he said.

” Drew Kaz?, She’s the same girl who almost killed you and now you’re standing up for her?” Jillian said

” I dunno how to deny the truth” he replied.

” She stole it, I saw her!” Melissa said loudly, rushing into the room.

” I knew it” BB smiled.

“What are you saying?” The Principal asked

“I saw her stealing it when we were in there, I should have alerted the teacher but I wanted her to get disgraced” Melissa replied.

” I stole it?” BB said and made to go to Melissa but Drew held her.

” I told you to learn how controll your temper, you can’t start fighting her here” he whispered.

” Fighting?, Ion fight her, I beat her” she replied and Drew rolled eyes at her.

” I request the CCTV footage of the class and the staffs room” BB said and everyone gasped.

” Yes, if it shows I’m the culprit, then I’ll happily walk out of this god-damned school” she said

The Principal sent for the operator and requested the footage while they wait.

Some minutes later**

The operator came back with a worried look.

“I can’t find the footage of that particular time” he said

” What!, You’re in charge, what do you mean?” The principal asked.

” It must be when I left for the restroom, someone messed with the system” he replied

” Till the footage is found please warn your kids, none of them should address me as a thief if they still have plans to eat meat all their life” she said and glared at everyone before leaving the office.

Drew followed her and when they finally got out, she faced him.

“Thanks for coming idiot” she said

“It’s nothing wacko” he winked and she winked back

” You were acting annoying earlier so this is actually what was about to happen, I know exactly what happened… Melissa, Miss Kate, Jillian and the operator” she said

” I noticed too, do you have anything in mind? ” He asked

” Tonight, I’ll call you” she said and made to go.

“You don’t hate me?” He asked and she looked back.

“Of course I do… A lot” she said seriously.

” Then why are you talking to me? ” He asked.

” I dunno” she replied and left

Drew dipped his hands into his pocket and Melissa came to him

“Now you know her true colors right?, Ion know why you let her pass the night at your house the other time but be careful, she might be a dangerous thief” she said

” Who knows… you might be the real thief” he said

“What!”

“From now on, stay at least five meters away from me.. please” he said

“Drew!” Kayla waved from the end of the hallway.

” Wait!” He said, rushing to meet her.

He got to her and they left together.

“So it can be Kayla, it can be BB but it can’t be me, really?” Melissa said bitterly.

A police station in California**

A young guy sat in front of a police officer who seems too busy to attend to him, he kept looking at the police, waiting for when he’d be done.

“So…what are you talking about?” The police finally asked.

“I wanna make a request for the reopening of a case, it was closed within three days of investigation, I’m a sibling to the victims” he replied

” Which case?”

Vic and Ric Marshalls, the couple who were killed and their eyes were stolen before they were dumped into a river five years ago” he replied and the police looks shocked.

” What’s your name?”

“Skye Marshalls” he replied

“Your relationship with the couple?”

” I’m…. The first child of the family” he replied.

The Kaz mansion**

“Project F3, You still have the files?” Mrs Kaz said, coming downstairs with the files.

” Oh, the project we lost seven years ago cos of the brat” Mr Kaz said.

“Then…are you still planning to redo it?” Mrs Kaz asked.

” Redo?, Where else would we get a brat with same blood as her?, It’s gone” he replied.

” Then why keep the files, I’ll just dispose them” Mrs Kaz said but her husband snatched them from her.

” I have no intention of throwing it away, we might still find the brat, I just have this feeling that she’s somewhere alive” Mr Kaz said, looking at it.

” If we had succeeded in completing the project with the Fabio’s and the Malcolm’s back then , we’d all be the three richest families in the whole of US by now” she said

” I know right”

” But about Drew, are you really respecting his decision over the girlfriend?” Mrs Kaz asked.

” Respect?, We gave him life, without those eyes he won’t have the nerves to go into modelling so he should learn to respect my decisions, Das has a lot of treasures in his hands and if I can just matchmake him with Melissa, think of how much we’d make, weather he likes it or not, Melissa is moving in with him next week” Mr Kaz said.

” Hey, be quiet, we can’t get caught idiot” BB said in a hush hush voice as she climbed the wall of the operator’s house with Drew

“I’m trying, wacko” Drew replied from the base of the wall as BB jumped down

“Come down” she said, looking up

“Can I really jump down?” He said, looking at the terrifying height

“Come fast” she replied and Drew closed his eyes before jumping down, directly on her.

They went down together and he gave her an indirect peck on the cheek.

“Screw you” she glared and pushed him away, she stood and he smiled as he stood too

He kept smiling as they tiptoed into the house after using masks.

They rang the doorbell and the operator opened it, his eyes widened and he made to shut it but BB held it and punched his face, he went down flat.

Ten minutes later**

“You shouldn’t have punched him” Drew said, looking at the unconscious operator on the ground with bleeding nose.

“What should I have done?” She glared and got water from his bathroom.

She came back and poured it all on the operator’s face, he spranged up and she held his hair tightly.

“Are you ready to answer all my questions or should I cripple you instead?” She asked.

” What do you want?, I’ll say anything” he replied.

“The footage of how Melissa stole the teacher’s purse in the staffs office and how she planted it in BB’s bag in class, where’s it?” She demanded.

Austen’s mansion**

” Boss, we’ll get you to the hospital” one of his maids said, trying to guide him downstairs.

“I’m ok, just don’t do anything” he replied with a slow voice.

“But you don’t look like it, I’ll call Mr Ray”

” Don’t….do anything” he insisted when he got to the living room

He sat on the chair, shaking slightly.

Nikita hadn’t been picking his calls and she won’t reply his messages either, it’s killing him more than he expected .

No strength to even drive to her house, he suddenly became tired and weak.

He tried her line again but she still won’t pick.

He stood and walked out of the house weakly.

He forgot the car keys and went in to get it before coming out again.

He was about to insert the car key when a cab stopped in front of the house and out of it came Nikita.

His eyes widened and the keys fell from him.

Nikita stood in front of the house after the cab drove off and he walked to her slowly.

Smelling his body scent, she knows he’s there.

“Austen” she called.

“Why weren’t you picking my calls?, Why were you angry earlier and… how did you know this place” he asked.

She walked to him and stopped when she felt her chest on his own,,

Without answering his questions, she pulled his shirt in the front and he bent over slowly.

“I’m sorry” she whispered and connected their lips, kissing him right there.
