HIS LUCKY STAR - EPISODE 1 AND 2

AUSTEN’S MANSION**

The smell of Austen’s sweet smelling spray filled the air as he sprayed himself after dressing up for work

He has workers who offer to help him dress on a daily basis but his usual answer is no, he loves privacy when it comes to dressing

He dropped the spray back on the dresser and noticed something on the table,,

He checked and it turned out to be slight dust, he sighed and cleaned his hand before checking out hmself in the mirror, satisfied?, He left his dressing room, his shoes making elegant contacts with the tiled floor

“Good morning Mr Malcolm”

“Good morning Mr Malcolm”

Filled the house from his workers as he walked out, they all greeted with respectful bows and he only nodded once in response to all of them

“Who cleaned the my dressing room this morning?* He asked

“It’s me sir” a man stepped forward

“Redo it, I’m not satisfied” he said

“Yes sir” the man replied with another bow

” Sir….I told you my mum is sick and I need to go see her…” One of them said

” Go see her, stay as long as you want” he replied and started leaving but suddenly turned back

” Have you all eaten?” He asked

“Yes Mr Malcolm!” They chorused and he sighed then left the house

His car is ready and Ray is already waiting beside it, Ray is his personal assistant

He opened the back door and Austen stepped in, Ray came in through the other side and the driver revved the car engine down the road

“Your dad is waiting in your office already sir” Ray said

“What…why?” Austen asked, Ray can almost feel his voice shaking

“I have no idea sir, Lora told me about it and for all I know, you both don’t have any appointment together today” Ray replied

” Ok” Austen breathed, looking out of the window

Maybe today will be another tearful day

Some minutes later, the driver brought the car to an halt in front of MM group of companies, Austen came out gallantly and his guards are already waiting to escort him in

They bowed immediately he came out with Ray and walked behind him till he got to the elevator that’ll take him to his floor, he got into the elevator with Ray and coughed nervously

“Sir, are you ok?’ Ray quickly asked

” I am” he replied, folding his hands nervously

Ray looked his hands and understood immediately, to Austen, Das is his worse nightmare

They got out of the elevator when they got to his floor, his staffs greeted him as he made his way to his office but he has no energy to reply, he should at least save his energy for what he’s gonna face inside

He got in and truly, Das is already waiting, his back is on him

“….Dad” he said slowly, anticipating what’ll happen

Das faced him slowly with an unfriendly face, not smiling as usual

He walked slowly to him and stood right in front of him, before he knew it, he slapped him hard across the face

“I think you need to get checked you killer!, The proposal submitted by Sunrise yesterday, who gave you the permission to sign it you douche!” Das yelled

Austen held his face and slowly looked up

” You weren’t around and as the CEO, I just thought I should….

“Do it without my consent?, I thought the rules says all proposals should come to me for accessing before signing!” Das yelled

” It was worth accepting…. that’s why I … Signed it” he said slowly

” Stop talking already!, Stop talking!, Murderer!, And now you’re planning to make this company go bankrupt?, Hell!” Das yelled

” I’m sorry” Austen replied slowly, sniffing as tears came out of his eyes in a rush

“I don’t care if you cry your worthless eyes out, all I care about is….all proposals must come to me for accessing before you’ll think of signing it, that proposal isn’t close to what I can approve of so cry!, Cry I don’t care!… killer!” Das yelled and stormed out of the office

Austen wiped his tears and another round fell down his smooth cheeks, he sat dejectedly on his chair and rested his back on it

Ray came in immediately and he’s not surprised to see him in tears, he has been hearing Das’s yells from outside and it’s just normal that anytime Das meets Austen, he cries cos his words are like thorns that hurts

“Boss” he said, looking at him pitifully

“I wanna be alone” he replied, closing his teary eyes

“You’re not ok” Ray said

“I just wanna be alone….go please” he replied

“Boss you’re….

” Ray….I think I just said please” he interrupted

” Oh… Ok, sir Das accessed the proposals that came in this morning already, his secretary brought them for signing” Ray said

” I’m not in the mood to sign anything right now, just…. Just go!” He yelled unintentionally

Ray understands immediately so he stepped out reluctantly

Hammy’s coffee cafe**

The cafe is busy as usual with servers serving the customers who kept pouring in every minute

Hammy’s is the biggest and the most popular coffee cafe in the area, they make the best coffee and their services are satisfying,,

Amidst all the servers in the cafe, Nikita is the smartest, it’s surprising that a blind girl is better than the ones with good sight but it’s just her personality

She knows the length, breath and width of the cafe, she knows every corner, every nook and cranny so well, she serves better than anyone, she’s jovial and knows how to keep customers

“Table 2” Sunny said and Nikita immediately picked her serving tray, walking straight to the table without missing her way

Sunny smiled as she watched her go, admiring everything about her…. she’s f*cking pretty and despite her blindness, she’s too smart

Sunny is another server in the shop, her only friend

Nikita got to the table and smiled first before talking

“Hi I’m Nikita, your server for this afternoon…what should I serve you?” She said, still with that pretty smile on her face

“”it’s my first time here, heard this is the best coffee cafe around” the voice said and that made her detect it’s a man

“Yes sir, our coffee will make you wanna have coffee before and after breakfast….after tasting it, you’ll ask for coffee after dinner too, it’ll become your addiction once you take a sip” she replied radiantly and can hear him laughing lightly

The man looked at the list of coffees in the menu and faced her . “A cup of ristretto” he said

“In a bit” she replied and left, went to the brewer and within three minutes, she’s done,

She knows the actual location of the bowls containing each brand of coffee so it’s always easy, she never makes mistakes

She took it back to the table and dropped it gently

“Enjoy” she said and left

“It’ll always remain a wonder to me how you manage to do these things more perfect than me, I’m jealous” Sunny said and Nikita smiled

“I’m Nikita, what were you expecting, people who bear Nikita are always unique” she said and brushed her hair with her palm

“What can I say… you’re really unique, pretty and s*xy” Sunny whispered

“Take that s*xy away, I don’t like the sound of it” she replied with a pout

“Take is or leave it, it’s the truth” Sunny replied and left to attend to a customer

Nikita’s phone rang in her pocket… saying, “incoming call from Eddy” repeatedly

She tapped the screen twice and it picked

“Why would you call me by this time, you’re supposed to be in school” she said sternly

“Just wanted to hear your voice stop being stern, I love you!” He said and hung up

Nikita smiled and returned her phone to her pocket

Eddy is her junior brother who’s in highschool, the only family she has….. their parents passed away since long ago

“New customer on table 16” one of her co-servers said beside her

“Ok” she replied, rushing there.

Sunshine highschool**

The library is as silent as it used to be and when Eddy finished making the secret call, he dropped his phone gently and Olive giggled silently

“If miss Cici gets you, you’re dead” she said

Mis Cici is the librarian

“I just love my sister so much, I miss her that’s why I called to hear her voice” he replied, taking his chemistry textbook

“But how’s she coping?” Olive asked

“You mean her sight?, You can say my sis is the smartest in that coffee cafe, she might be blind but she’s f*cking brilliant, she knows everything about the cafe and all the customers like her, I just wish she went to school, it’d have helped” Eddy replied

“If I may ask, why is she blind?” Olive asked

“I don’t want to talk about it” he replied simply

“Oh…ok” Olive replied and Eddy resumed reading

Olive looked at him and a smile escaped her lips before she resumed reading too

They’re close and they only talk to each other, maybe because they’re the only two in their class who got admitted to the school by scholarship

Barely two minutes later, Melissa walked into the library, coming straight to their table

She took Eddy’s textbook and tore some pages from it before throwing it down

“What did you just do* Eddy said, standing up

“My assignment, I told you to do it and submit for me but you didn’t!, That’s why that ugly Mrs Johnson was talking rudely to me!” She yelled

“Are we friends?, Why would I help you with your assignment when you’re a student like me” he said

Melissa smiled and pulled his tie, making her bent towards her

“You’re a scholarship student here, I can ruin you and you’re aware, I can shatter your dreams of becoming a doctor” she said

Olive slapped her hand away from Eddy’s tie and pushed Melissa away from him

“He’s not your lackey, stop this shit!” She shouted

“This is a library and not a supermarket!” Miss Cici said, coming that way but when she saw Melissa, she went back

If it’s about Melissa, then no teacher is ready to meddle, more than six teachers has been fired cos of her

“Seriously you just pushed me?” Melissa said, facing Olive angrily

“So what?, I can’t stand you bullying him again” Olive replied and Melissa slapped her hard

“Melissa!” Eddy yelled

Olive made to slap Melissa too but Melissa smiled dangerously

“Your dad…. Torres Medford works as a PA for the CEO of Ford focus group right?, Dad is a friend to him, what if I report to dad that the daughter of his friend’s PA slapped me…. your dad will get fired and tell me how you’ll be eating after that…loser” Melissa said arrogantly and Olive’s hand stopped midair

“Can’t slap me anymore?, I’m Melissa Malcolm…. Being the second most popular teen model here, you think that’s just fantasy?, You make me laugh” Melissa giggled

“Being rich, it feels great right?” Eddy said, looking at her disgustingly

“Of course, I can do anything I want, dad will cover me, why won’t I feel like I own the world….but listen, Olive Medford, anytime you talk back at me again, your dad is gone” Melissa said and faced Eddy again

“So far I remain here, youll remain miserable… Eddy Eddy Magnus, read my lips” she said and left the library, her ass shaking slowly in her small smart skirt

“Are you okay?” Eddy asked Olive

“Yes” she replied slowly, arranging her hair which scattered as a result of the slap

“I’m sorry” Eddy said, arranging it with her, she smiled and stayed still

Regina’s mansion**

The whole mansion is already filled with the aroma coming from the just prepared food

Regina set the table by herself, placing the dishes gently on it on, she never allows the maids to help her with Austen’s meals, she loves preparing it by herself and while doing that, she’s always so full happiness

She’s fifty but looks thirty cos Austen will never allow a scratch on her, Austen is her life, she’ll always say she lives for her, he’s her happiness and everything she lives for, he might not be her biological son but he’s her everything

She finished arranging the dishes and Austen came in immediately, her face brightened

“My gold” she smiled, widening her arms, he engulfed her in a warm embrace which lasted for a while

Immediately they broke it, he pecked her on both cheeks and Regina blushed hard

“I love you so much mother” he said, hugging her again

This is the only place where he finds happiness so he comes everyday, he never spends a day without seeing her face

“I smell my food already* he said, sniffing the air

“Sure, I made your favorite” she replied and when he made to go to the dinning room, she stopped him, seeing a slight redness on his cheek

She touched his cheek slightly, feeling hurt….no one needs to tell her who did it again

“You have a very delicate skin, why is he bent on destroying it, your cheek is red” she said sadly at the point of tears

“Mum you can’t cry, do you want me to cry too?” He said and that made her quickly wipe the tears before it’ll fall

“Are you ok?” She asked, still touching his cheek

“I’m ok mum, stop worrying, I’m starving already” he said and Regina smiled, leading him to the dinning room

He sat him down and he picked a tender chicken, eating slowly from it

“How’s it” Regina asked

“Mum’s cooking is always the best” he winked and Regina smiled, watching him eat slowly like he use to

He’s just so handsome, but bringing up the matter of getting married looks somehow to her, he’s passing through a lot already

“I love you mother” he said, drinking water

“Love you more my treasure” she smiled

He finished eating after a while and he led Regina to the living room, she sat and he lay down, placing his head on her laps

“I wanna sleep like this* he said, closing his eyes

“Sleep like a baby” she replied, stroking his hair like a baby, he smiled before drifting off to sleep

Regina smiled again and sighed

“I wonder why Das is treating this lovely child this way, he’s just so full of love to give” she mumbled.

Hammy’s Cafe**

“Eddy will soon be here to pick me up” Nikita said, taking off her working shirt and cap which has the name of the cafe striped on it

She’s getting off work already, she only works till 6

“I know, and here he comes” Sunny replied as Eddy came in

“Sweetheart” Eddy said, hugging Nikita who smiled and hugged her back

“How was school today?” She asked

“Bad, I’ll gist you when we get home” he replied”

“The Melissa girl again?” Nikita said

“Obviously, but let’s go home first… Sunny, see ya tomorrow!” He waved

“Sure” Sunny waved back

“Bye Sunny” Nikita waved and Eddy made to hold her hand

“I know my way around in this cafe, you can only hold me when we’re out, you like making me repeat this …brat” she said and Sunny giggled

“Ok sassy” Eddy smiled as they walked out of the cafe

He immediately grabbed her hand, leading her down the road where they’ll ride the bus

“Let me give you a piggyback ride to the bus station” he suddenly said, bending in front of her

“You really think I’m a weakling right?, No..in fact don’t hold my hand anymore, I’ll surprise you and walk on my own to the bus station” she said and started walking away without any idea of where she’s going

Eddy stayed behind and watched her as she continued walking

“She’s too stubborn” he said, smiling at her rebelliousness

Then she started going towards the road,, Eddy quickly rushed to her and held her

“That way leads to the road… You can only act smart in the coffee cafe, not outside” he said and she hit him

“Jerk” she said as he took her hand again

“I love you” he replied and Nikita smiled, she was about to say I love you more when a white car stopped abruptly beside them, almost knocking her down but Eddy pulled her away swiftly

Melissa came out of the car arrogantly with her manager (Kira)

She smiled and walked over to Eddy who held Nikita more tightly

“So…we met again Eddy Magnus” she said, looking at the two of them

” What do you want from me Melissa, you almost knocked my sister down, how far will you go just because you’re rich” Eddy said

” Melissa we’re running late for the shoot”. Kira said

” No… this comes first” she replied

” Who’s she?, The rotten Melissa from your school?” Nikita said and Melissa sneered

” Did you just call me rotten?”

” So it’s you” Nikita replied, breaking free from Eddy and searching for where Melissa is with her hands

“Oh…she’s blind” Melissa laughed and Nikita traced where her voice came from, she went there and when she made to touch her, Melissa hit her leg on Nikita’s
legs,,

She staggered and fell on Eddy..

“Melissa stop” Kira said

“One more word and you’re fired” Melissa glared….
