His Ex-Wife is A Billionaire - Season 2 Episode 65
Evadne tilted her pretty chin ever so slightly, locking her eyes on Thaddeus as she walked towards him.
In an instant, the guy felt as if all his blood was rushing to his heart, his throat tightening, the muscles under his suit becoming tenser. It was as if every nerve in his body was being pulled by Evadne, longing to be closer to her
Edith frowned slightly, clinging tightly to Thaddeus. A strong sense of possessiveness and anxiety made her grip even tighter.
She could intuitively feel that Thaddeus not only knew this beautiful woman, but also cared deeply about her.
But just when Thadders was full of anticipation, thinking that Evadne was coming towards him, she slipped past him like a gentle breeze.
“Chritian!” Leaving the stunned Thaddeus behind, Evadne curled her bright eyes into a smile, calling out softly.
“Oh! My sweetheart!”
Chritian, coming from the other end of the corridor, greeted Evadne as if she was a long–lost friend. She waved at her excitedly and even used a term of endearment, which showed they were close.
Everyone present was dumbfounded, including Edith.
Chntian was known for being aloof and arrogant. During the three years Edith studied with her, Chritian rarely praised her and was always indifferent.
What was it about this woman that could easily win over the rare smile of her mentor?
“Darling, I didn’t expect to see you in Elmsworth! I had known, I would have made time to have dinner with you!” Chritian happily embraced Evadne.
“I didn’t want to disturb you. You have rehearsals and preparations,” she replied.
Evadne knew Chritian under the name of Haron, as Chritian had ordered more than one dress from her, and they had a good private relationship.
It could be said that Evadne had such charm. Anyone who had worked with her eventually became her friend.
Thaddeus watched Evadne chatting happily with the world–cla** pianist, and memories flooded his mind.
His broad shoulders trembled slightly, and his gaze almost lost focus.

He remembered that when Evadne first married him, her bright and clear eyes would also smile at him like Edith, and she would excitedly talk non–stop about interesting things like other young girls.
But he always ignored her, he was too stingy to give a look that belonged to her.
Gradually, Evadne became silent, playing a role that no one paid any attention to in Windermere Estate, quietly staying by his side.
In those three years, she had no social life and no friends. Painting and playing the piano became her whole life. He found her boring. He thought she was no match for Acacia in any way, and that marrying her was a mistake in his life.
Little did he know that he almost destroyed her.
His cold violence turned her into a docile, self–contained woman.
Evadne once loved him deeply, just like the Titanic hitting the iceberg, no matter how pa**ionate the romance, in the end, it could only turn into a heartbreaking tragedy.
“Mr.
Avery, come over here!”
Evadne’s eyes were sparkling, her gaze pa**ed from Thaddeus to Avery. She smiled and waved at him.
“I’m coming.” Avery was busy adjusting his tie and the hem of his suit. His usually calm eyes were a little nervous as he strode towards Evadne.
Thaddeus clenched his fists tightly, the pain shooting straight to his chest.
Jareth was grinding his teeth in jealousy. Thaddeus and Jareth’s faces were as gloomy as if they had just crawled out of a mine.
As Avery was just about to pa** Thaddeus, he suddenly stopped.
He pushed his gla**es up with his slender fingers, turned his head and smirked at Thaddeus, a victorious mockery in his eyes.
Avery’s contemptuous gaze cut Thaddeus’s heart to shreds.
Thaddeus watched helplessly as Avery walked to Evadne’s side, as they stood together, as everything happened, and he was powerless to do anything about it.
He thought was this really it?
Was he really just a powerless bystander?
Was there really no way to stop their relationship from developing?”

“This is my friend. He and his mother are very fond of you. He hopes to get a signed record from you as a memento for his mother,” Evadne enthusiastically introduced Avery to Chritian.
“Sure, I’d be happy to!”
Chritian respected Evadne very much and was very friendly to the stranger, Mr. Avery.
In the end, not only did she give him a signed record, but Chritian also brought over her manager to take a picture for them.

Everything was so perfect.
It was so perfect that Thaddeus was left with nothing but heartache, as if the blood flowing in his veins was all bitter.
When they came out of the concert hall, Edith was still like a little girl, holding Thaddeus’s hand all the way, talking about her experiences abroad. She expressed how much she missed him, chattering non– stop.
The only difference from when she was a child was that she used to hold Jareth’s hand with her left hand and Thaddeus’s with her right.
But now, Jareth had been relegated to bag carrier. Jareth trailed behind them, the corners of his mouth turned down, his face looking awful.

Chapter 165
Evadne had dumped him and his sister was ignoring him. He was starting to doubt himself.
When they got to the parking lot, Thaddeus suddenly stopped, taking a deep breath, and slowly but forcefully pulled his hand out of Edith’s grasp.
‘Thad, what’s wrong?” Edith blinked her eyes innocently, her little hand hanging in mid–air.
“Edith.” Thaddeus turned his austere face, his gaze was no longer like when he was a child, filled with alienation, which was cold enough to make her heart flutter. “You’re an adult now, not a little girl anymore. The way you stay with me is no longer appropriate.”
brother’s hand?”
“Why is it inappropriate? You’re my Thad!” Edith was persistent, “What’s wrong with a sister holding her fall
Jareth is your biological brother. I’m not in a position to do that.” Thaddeus stopped there, saying any more would make things awkward.

Edith was pouting looking all wronged, but inside she was fuming with anger.
It must be because of that pretty woman that his attitude towards her suddenly changed!
Acacia finally backed off, rushing back home just so she could be there for Thaddeus when he needed someone, trying to win his heart.
No way Edith was gonna let another woman swoop in and steal the man she had been eyeing for years!
“Thad, you’re really hurting me with your words.”
Jareth had always spoiled his little sister. He couldn’t stand to see her upset, so he walked over and hugged Edith, “You’ve seen Edith grow up. You used to hold her all the time. Holding hands now isn’t a big deal. Besides, you don’t even have a girlfriend. If you did, maybe you’d be more cautious, but we’re both single, and there’s nothing to worry about.”
“Edith’s got to find a boyfriend, she’s gotta save her hand for him.” Thaddeus took a deep breath. For some reason, Evadne’s face popped into his mind, “I gotta save my hand for my girlfriend.”
After leaving Avery, Evadne hopped into her Rolls–Royce.
“Achoo!” She sneezed, maybe the AC at the concert hall gave her a cold.
“Miss, do you have a cold? I’ll prepare some medicine for you when we get home.” Jason hurriedly handed her a tissue.-
Evadne wiped her nose. Her nose tip was all red, “I’m fine, someone’s probably badmouthing me.”
“I can’t believe we’d run into Unfaithful Thaddeus at a concert!” Jason grumbled angrily, taking the tissue from her without a second thought.
Thinking of Edith being all sweet with Thaddeus, Evadne felt a bit down.
Thaddeus just let Edith be all lovey–dovey with him. He must be enjoying it.
She knew ages ago that Edith was Jareth’s little sister, but she didn’t know Thaddeus was so close to her.
Evadne shook her head with a bitter laugh, feeling like her three–year marriage was a waste. She knew so little about that man.
“Two sisters at home aren’t enough, and he is looking for more outside? Disgusting.”
“Miss, what are you saying?” Jason asked, confused by her mumbling.
“Nothing, just praying to shake off the bad luck from running into that man.” Evadne crossed her arms and closed her eyes.
Not long after, her phone rang, it was Ca**ius.
“Ca**ius?”
“Evadne, don’t leave after work the day after tomorrow. I’ll pick you up from the hotel, and we’ll go back to Skyrim together.”
“Back to Skyrim? Did something happen to Dad?” Evadne’s heart clenched.
“Don’t worry, Dad’s fine.” Ca**ius said gently, “Mr. Jeff is bringing his two sons over. Dad wants all the kids that can make it to come. He and Mr. Jeff have been friends for over twenty years. Dad doesn’t want to neglect any guest.”
Evadne’s tension eased a bit. She took a deep breath and said, “Okay, I got it.”
