Davis pov.

“You’re pregnant?”
I repeated after her.
She’s pregnant.
I mentally said to myself hoping I’m not dreaming or something.

” Yes. I am. I guess the contract is a progress. ” She pouted. Playing with her fingers.
I didn’t know when I pulled her to myself and landed a deep passionate kiss on her lips. She didn’t try to fight back this time, I wouldn’t give her the time if she tried. We kissed for a long while before I finally broke off. Staring at her as she felt breathless.

” You shouldn’t have done that. ” She looked away.
I didn’t know why the feeling of resentment but I wasn’t cool with it. Not at all.

” Adrian..”
I tried to touch her but she flinched, moving a little from me.

No.
I pulled her stubborn self back to me and coiled her with my arms.

” Why do you keep pushing me away Adrian.?”
It was a question I’ve always wanted to ask, if given a chance.

” Nothing. I just don’t like being around you. ”

Her reply cut me a little deep. She tried to move away from me but my grip on her was firm.

” Silly liar.” I poked her nose playfully.

When she saw she couldn’t free herself from my grip, she gave up, relaxing back on me.

” This is one of the best news I’ve heard so far.”

I kissed the back of her hand. And squeeze lightly.

” Sure” she breath out.

Why is her attitude this cold? Especially towards me?.
Does this have to do with how she confessed her feelings for me?

” Adrian?”

” Yes?”

” What name would you call our child if it’s born?.” I ask, trying to prolong our discussion.

” You figure that out. You’re the father after all. ”

She replied.
I smiled, a weak one.

There was a small silence Between us before she broke it with an unusual question.

” What happens after this contract Davis?.. what happens now that you know I’m with a child. ? What’s gonna happen after I birth your child?”

Alot of questions I didn’t know which to answer first because all of them has got the same response.
And the only response is death.
I die after all. I die once the contract is over. I die knowing the fact that I’m gonna be a father. I die before she even births our child.
Death…, That’s the answer to all the question she just asked.

” Now you’re speechless.”
She broke the silence again seeing I couldn’t reply her questions.

A deep frown-line on her face as she pull away from me.

” Why do you keep doing this to me Davis?. You being this cold,… To me. Do you think it’s fair.
You’re only happy because I’m finally with a child. Not because of any other reasons. I birth this child and we go our separate ways. How does that even sound to you? ” She scoffed.

I rubbed my face with my palms. Not knowing what to say to her.
” I don’t really get any of this Adrian. Why are you making things pretty hard for me. Especially now”
I mumbled.

” I’m making things hard for you?. You’re the one making things hard for us both. ” She snapped.

I spared her a confused glance.

” Does this have anything to do with your feelings for me?” I asked, bemused.

She scoffed.
” My feelings?. Not just my feelings. It has everything to do with you.” She rasped.

” Is it the fact that your so called ex, broke your fvcking heart and you chose to hurt othrs too, like she did?”

” Why do you have to bring Betty into this Adrian?. Don’t fvcking call her name ok. She was my mistake and I don’t like you using my mistake against me. ”

I found her words a little choking.
Did she really have to bring Betty into this?

” Well you keep using your mistake to rob on others. Why can’t you just see things the way they are, for real?. Do you really have to make decisions because of a one-time mistake?. Everyone makes mistake Davis. And we learn from it. ”

Mistakes mistakes mistakes.
I shook my head .

This was quite harder than I thought.

” Come here”
I pulled her back to myself to shut her up From her rantings. Of a truth, it was really getting on my nerves.

She reluctantly sat on me, looking a bit angry too.

” Why don’t you forget your rantings and focus on this good news?”
I said, touching her stomach.

She rolled her eyes.
I noticed that. But chose to ignore.

” You smell nice Baby. ”
I inhaled her hair. Taking a deep breath as I graze her neck with my hot breath.

” I haven’t had my bath yet . ” She replied and I almost choked.

She laughed at my reaction. ” You still smell nice to me. , You always do.”

I truthfully admitted, pulling the tuft that fell over her face behind her ears.

” Davis I…

I shut her up with a kiss.
She doesn’t have to say anything. ” I hate it when we argue .” I said after breaking the kiss.

” Me too. ”

” Can you promise to stop arguing with me from now on?”
It came out like a plea.

She was silent for a while. ” Please. ” I added.

” Can you promise to love me too?”

I stiffen at her words. But a sad smile stretched from my lips.

” I can. But I’ll hurt you. ”
I caress her chin.

” I don’t care. ” She replied.
I don’t think she understand what she just said.

I’ll hurt her. I’ll break her heart. And I’ll not be there to console her.

” Just feel something for me. For the short while we have to spend together, as man and wife. ”

She said almost in a whisper.

I inhaled sharply.

“I will. It’s a promise ”

I pull her face closer to mine and engaged our lips together.

Her hands cloaked around my neck as the kiss deepened.

I made sure to penetrate my hands into her shirt, getting hold of her breasts.
I squeeze lightly and her lips tore in low moans.

Gosh I’ve missed this feeling.
I haven’t touched her for weeks now and I must confess, I missed her damn much.

I switched position, making her lay back on the bed while I was on top.

Swiftly, I removed her shirt, leaving her in just a red lacy pants.
I placed my lips back on hers, kissing her like my life depended on it.
Her lips was now softer than I remembered.
In a blink of an eye, we had our clothes on the floor, just our naked skin kissing each other as we rode together in pleasure.

Good enough the room was bullet proofed and our loud moans could not penetrate out.

She missed me too, just like I missed her, Because every of my touch sent electric Sparks, down to her nerves.

With Adriana calling my name at every deep thrust I took into her. Drilling her with everything I’ve got. Her fingers drilling holes in my back, but I cared less. This moment was all I’ve wanted. Having her in my arms.

It’s more sad and heartbreaking because I can’t let her Know how I feel towards her, because it’ll be more complicating when I’m finally gone.
