HIS 90 DAYS BRIDE - EPISODE 34

Adriana opened her eyes. Her head was so heavy.

” Hm. She’s finally awake”
The lady-like voice spoke out in expectation. Making Adriana jerk fully awake with the realization that she’s not alone.

“Where am I?” She asked.

” Pardon my manners dear, I should have done a proper introduction. It’s just that my boys can come a little handy sometimes. ”

Adrianna gulped down nothing. She was solely seated on a couch. Surprising, she wasn’t gagged or tied to anything. Crazy right.

” I don’t know what you want from me. But I’ve got nothing to offer. ”

She gritted.

” Oh, you do have something I want. You see, my name is Betty Aalan and I’m pretty sure, Davis has told you little about me.. if not worse.”
She rolled her eyes

” Betty?”

” Oh yes, darling. That’s my name”
She gave her a toothy grin..

” What do you want from me?.. I don’t even know you. ” Adriana snapped.

Betty sighed out.
It’s just so dumb that Adrian keeps asking same question each second.

” I want Davis back. I’m being nice by asking you to leave him. ”
She smiled,..

Her statement made Adriana burst into an unbelievable laughter.

Betty soon joined , as they both laughed hysterically..
” You’re one crazy b”tch betty, you know that right?”

” I know” she smiled in response.

Adrian seeing how serious she was gulped in disbelief.

” You can’t possibly be serious ,.. I can’t leave Davis. He’s my husband. ”

Adriana retorted.
Betty is crazy to think she’d leave Davis Alone. She doesn’t see herself doing that. Especially now that she’s In love with him.

” I can’t. I can’t. Why would I do that?”
She snapped.
Why would she leave Davis.

” Who the fvck are you to give me orders? I’m not leaving Davis. He’s my husband. ”
. She Dead panned.

Betty exhaled sharply,..

” Why?.. because you love him?. I know you guys are not legally married. I know this union is fake Adriana. I’m making this easy for you. I’ll give you any amount,. Just cancel the bullshit agreement you made with him and bye bye!”

Adriana gasped,. . how did she know?. It was supposed to be a secret.

” We are legally married. ” She lied. Feigning ignorant of what Betty just said.

” C’mon, Davis is not stupid. A dying man can not rightfully wed a woman just to leave her in the pain of widowhood. ”

Betty scoffed, liting a cigeratte.

” What do you mean by that?”

” You don’t know? he didn’t tell you?”
Betty huffed, taking a long drag from the cigeratte in her head.

” Tell me what?”
Adriana blinked hard.
What other things has Davis not told her yet.

” Your husband darling, is a dying man. ”

“You’re such a liar. !” Adriana cut in.

She got up. Her eyes searching for nothing.

” You’re really crazy. Just like Davis told me. ”

A small frown tangled on Betty’s face, but she slowly, suppressed it with a depressed smile.

” Is that what he told you?. That I’m crazy?” She puffed the heavy smoke out of her mouth.

” You’re more than crazy. I’m out of here. ”

She took a step towards the exit door but the two hefty guys in shade blocked her way.

” Nah nah. Let her go . She’s free to go.”
Betty gave the order and Adrian made her way out.

Her heart pounding so loud and fast.

She hastened her steps till she was out of the house.

She can find her way back home from here.

” Davis didn’t tell her. ” Betty below to herself.

Davis didn’t tell her he is dying.

Later in the day.

Davis pov.

” Thank you so. Much, I look forward to partner with you. ”
He shook his visitors as they left one after the other.

“Sir. ” . Rachel walked towards him.

“Yes?”.

“Your wife called.”

“When?”

” Hours ago.”

Davis drew a confused expression on his face.

” Hours ago? And you didn’t tell me?”
He took his phone from her with a sharp sign.
Quickly he dialed her number.

It rang, but there was no answer.
He had this suspicious look of panic on his face. Rachel could see the worry in his eyes.

He tried her number twice, but still, no answer.

” What time is it Rachel?”

” It’s 4;30 pm sir”
She replied

” Good. Close all schedules,. I’m leaving. ” He ordered.

” But sir, Mr Elect will be here in few minutes time, you know how important this meeting with him is” Rachel spoke out.
Davis glared at her.

” Who is the boss here?”

“You, sir” she lowered her gaze.

” Good. Then do as I said”

Rachel nod, watching Davis pull into his suit with his car keys in his hand.

” That’ll be all ”
With that said, he trailed out.
Feeling so so worried.
