HIS 90 DAYS BRIDE - EPISODE 33

“Adriana”
He whispered into her ears. She didn’t respond. She was fast asleep on him.
He smiled, then pinched the edge of her nose.

” Looking at you this way, one would think you’re as calm as your face now. ”
He chuckled dryly.
” You’re the most stubborn lady I’ve ever met ” he continued.
Pulling the hair behind her ears.

His eyes raked down to her red lips.
” Tempting”

He exhaled sharply, switching off the TV.
The match was over and the night was far spent.

He relaxed more on the couch. He didn’t see the reason to go in. He actually loved the way she was on his body. It was a bit relaxing for him.
He gently curled her more with his arms as his eyes slowly drifted into Oblivion.

Next morning.

Adrianna dimmed her eyes open.
The room shone so bright and only then did she realize she was on the bed.

She stared around tiredly.
How did she get here?… She remember falling asleep on Davis arm..

Maybe he brought her here.

She stretched tiredly and the door opened. Revealing davis and a small try on his hand.

” Good morning. I can see you’re already awake. ” He flashed her a sweet smile as he gently placed the tray on her side of the bed.

Adriana smiled back.
“Breakfast in bed. Hmm. Aren’t you spoiling me?” She replied, staring at the cup of hot tea and toasted bread with scrambled eggs.

” You made this?..hmm. it’s good” she moaned after taking a bite.

Davis nodded.
Yes, he did.

He can’t possibly remember the last time he made breakfast for anybody, yet he finds himself doing it for Adriana. His supposed wife.

” Do you like it?”

” Oh yes. I love it. ” She giggled as she ate more of it.

“Ok then. ” Davis nodded , getting up.

“Where are you going?” She asked.

” I’m gonna go get ready for work. ” He replied, obliviously.

” Don’t leave me all alone at home.”

Davis scoffed. ” It’s not like it’s the first time you’ll be home alone. Is it?”

” You don’t understand. I get bored these days. I might stray out. Like I did yesterday. ”

Davis gulped hard. The thought of Adriana leaving the house still scares him.

He coughed slightly. ” You shouldn’t go out. The weather is pretty harsh these days, it won’t soothe your skin. ”
He tried to make her see reasons why she shouldn’t go out.

” My skin has a good Melanin. It doesn’t just react to anything. ”
She replied, taking a draw from the hot tea.

Davis groaned.

” Don’t go anywhere. Please. ” he said in a pleading manner.

” I’ll agree to that if you stay back with me. ”

” That’ll make it two days I’ll be absent from..

” Then I’ll go out. ” she snapped, cutting him off his words.

” Ok! Fine!” He succombed … Adrian smiled in victory.

” But still , Davis.. why don’t you want me to go out on my own. Not like I’m a kid or something.”

Davis exhaled sharply. How does he explain this?

” You’ll get me worried if you go out on your own. Just like yesterday. I was scared as hell. I don’t want it to repeat itself. ”

He truthfully replied.

Adriana nodded.

The fact that Davis admit he was scared about her yesterday,…it found a way to give her heart a small tingling sensation.

” Thanks. ” She muffled.

” For what?”

” For worrying about me. I appreciate. ”

This part of Davis was something leo never had.
Leo hardly worries about her. And to see that Davis does, she’s really great ful.

” I’m done. ”
She dropped the cup and Davis got up.
He walked over to take the empty tray when Adrian held his hand.

He looked up to meet her eyes.

” Davis… I want you to know that,.. I don’t…”

She paused,.. then swallowed hard.

” Even if this marriage is fake, I want you to know that I don’t regret any decision I took.”

Davis nodded.
He didn’t understand why she said that, but he had nothing to say.
He just nods his head before picking up the tray.

Adrianna’s face fell slightly. Watching him leave the room somehow, made her fizzle.

She breath hard, getting up.

As the passes by, there’s something she’s realized, something she can never deny. And that something is how she feel towards Davis.

It’s so confusing because, she feels she’s the only one having such chemistry. And it sucks. Really!

A month Later.

Adrianna’s eyes reddened with swollen tears.

” I’m pregnant?”
The surprise on her face as she sat in the doctor’s office, with the paper on her hand.

” Yes. It’s a great news, don’t you think?”

Adriana nodded.
Yes it is.

” But I thought….

Her voice Soon trailed off when she she saw the smile lingered on the doctor’s face.

” Thank you. ” she replied instead.

She folded the paper into her bag before walking out of her office.

She can’t believe she’s actually pregnant.
How would Davis react to this?..
Yeah,she knew this was the main reason she sighed up for the contract,but still. It was a constant reminder that she’s got just barely two months to spend with Davis.

It was heartbreaking. And for a moment, she wished their marriage was actually a real one. And not fake.

She was getting so used to Davis and all.

Like aside leo,.. he’s the only guy that she’d willingly open her legs for. A man she loves spending her time with.

Over the past weeks, she’s come far to really really like him.

” Take me home”

She got into the car ,. Her personal driver already waiting for her.
The driver nodded and drove her out of the hospital.

Her mood was tempered.

” Follow that car. ”

” Yes ma’am.”

The driver replied,.

“Okay, be fast with it. Don’t fvcking lose that bitch”

Adriana who quickly noticed the Jeep that has been following their track for long told the driver.

” I know ma’am. I’ve been watching them.”
He replied, his eyes not leaving his side mirror.

” Well then , do something! ”
Adrianna cut in.
Her heart was pounding really fast.
Quickly, she brought out her phone. Trying to reach Davis.

Rachel frowned the moment she saw the call.
Without a second thought, she cut it.

The call came again and again. But she ignored.
Davis was having a meeting with another company regarding a partnership they would like to consider. To Rachel, it wasn’t right to give him his phone. At least not yet, even if she knew who the caller is.

“C’mon Davis pick up!” .she groaned hard.

” I think we’ve lost them.”
The driver said, causing a sigh of relief.

She breath low and steady.

As they drove further, they came before a road block .

The driver stopped.

“I’ll be right back. Let me take out the log of wood. ”

Adriana nodded. ” But that wasn’t there before” she muttered under her breath.

He got out and walked towards the wood which was used as a blockade. ,..from no where, he received a heavy knock at the back of his head.

Adriana gasped!.

Her door forcefully opened and she was dragged out.

She tried screaming but a white cloth was placed on her nose. And that made her pass out.
