JUNG AERA

I can’t believe that I got myself into trouble on my first day in college.

“I’m sorry..it wasn’t intentional”

“I am not trying to seek your attention”

“Please just let me go! I’ll never appear in front of you again”

My pleas came out hastily as I am scared of the embarrassment he’d put me through.

He bent low and immediately I squeezed my eyes shut,frightened to my core. The words of the student is not even helping matters.

LEE JIM-IN

I stared at my phone while waiting for Taeyhung and Ji-hoo,they haven’t arrive.

Amidst all the attention seeking student gathered around,the only one who caught my attention is the lady whose lip is on my shoe. Is she that desperate?

I bent down to lash at her but her words halted me.

“I’m not trying to seek your attention”,her word stopped me.

‘So she is really not trying to get my attention’,I mused.

I was amused.

The very first lady who is telling me outright that she is not trying to get my attention.

‘Was this all an accident?’,I asked myself.

It can be,I shrugged.

Nothing is impossible in Jin college!

“What’s your name?”,I asked her.

“Jung Aera”,she answered hastily.

“Please don’t hurt me,I had no intention of showing up”,she pleaded with me and even stared at me with glistened eyes.

I stared back at her. She is truly innocent!

“Do you know that your status isn’t welcomed here?”,I told her,still squatting.

Everyone burst into laughter.

“A poor church rat trying to sneak into the socialite gathering”,some said.

I didn’t listen to their obvious scornful words.

“I didn’t know…. I came here with miss Lee Mi-cha. She brought me here!”,the lady explained as she hurriedly stood up,there by bumping her head with mine making me stagger backward,thereby sitting on the floor.

Lee Mi-cha?

There is only one Mi-cha I know…my twin sister!

“Oh God! Why is my luck so bad today?”,she wailed and came to my side,trying to help me stand. I accepted her offer,causing a huge stir among everyone. I stood and with the force I crashed on the nearest wall,pulling her along with me.

“Did oppa just hold her stinky hand?”

“Her hand isn’t as clear as mine?”

“She is even clinging to him”

“She must be blacklisted amongst the socialite of Jin college”

All those murmured word rang in my ear.

“Are you okay?”,I asked her and she nodded hastily.

“Good”,I smiled at her.

“Move!”,I added with a smirk.

She realised the weird position we are in and quickly shifted from me.

Just in time,my friends drove in with similar cars like mine but Taeyhung car is white while Ji-hoo’s car is black.

They came out and rushed to me in similar attire.

“Did you guys have to come this late?”,I scolded them.

“Its our oppa!”

“They are gorgeous!”

“If any of the three sneezed in my hankie…I’ll cherish it forever”

“The three are like demi gods”

“We forgot that you’d be attending Jin college today”,Taeyhung answered calmly,like his personality.

“We even wore the same dress like you”,Ji hoo pointed out.

“Duh”,I rolled my eyes.

“Help her to our private class..she needs help before she gets brutally mobbed”,I told them.

“You have never helped a student”,Ji hoo smirked mischievously at me.

“Don’t get useless ideas running in your pretty brain”,I warned him with a glare.

“I’ll take her”,Taeyhung offered and held Aera hand,leading her to the private stairs.

Ji hoo pouts in displeasure.

I glared at him and dragged his hand to follow Taeyhung,while the crowd cleared an even larger space for us to pass.

“Oppa!”,they all squealed

“She is a stray cat…so don’t take advantage of her”,I warned him.

“We will surely get back at you,poor mouse!”

“How did she get our oppa’s attention?”

“Not even one of them….THREE!”

“How did she do that? She is poor and isn’t even dressing presentably”

“We should surely blacklist her and make her see hell”.

The student are visibly annoyed and are even ready to attack her.

I sat still like a statue once I entered the trio private class. I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to be in this hall. The segregation between the rich and the poor in Jin college is so shocking from my experience today. The poor are been treated like a leper.

“Thank you”,I thanked Jim-in who chose not to reply me.

I didn’t mind. At least I was saved from a huge mess earlier.

The guy who brought me in here came out from another closed door with a bowl and towel in his hand.

“Taeyhung,what are you doing?”,Ji-hoo asked,obviously confused.

Oh,that is his name!

“She has a cut on her lower lip and it needs to be cleaned”,he answered with so much calmness that it made me wonder if he his life is a peaceful and calm as he his.

Ji hoo just shook his head and rested back in the chair he is seating on.

My eyes darts towards Jim-in who is staring at Taeyhung with interest.

“It will only hurt a little”,I heard Taeyhung say.

I glanced back at him and saw that he is closing to me with a towel in his hand and he his looking at my lips closely.

“Its not a deep cut”,he mumbled,more like whispering to himself,forgetting that he is surrounded by peering eyes.

He then placed the towel on my lips and I flinched.

“Sorry”,he said without looking at me and continued dabbing my lips with the towel which has been soaked with hot water.

Once he was done,he gave me a balm to rub on it continuously so that it won’t leave a scar.

I nodded and collected the balm.

“Thank you”,I bowed gratefully at him.

“I’ll see you off to class and show you the entrance you should be using to avoid misfortunes like today”,Jim-in finally spoke.

I could only nod.

Once he showed me my faculty and even Making sure to stop right at my lecture room door.

“You can go in”,he nudged me.

I stood stiffly. I am really scared to walk in as I am now the center of attraction since I am obviously standing beside their god. Their gazes didn’t hide the contempt,scorn,disgust and death glares been thrown my way.

How am I going to listen to the lectures today?

To make it worse,he leaned close to me and pushed something into my bag pack.

“Taeyhung requested that I give this to you,he said it will help with your injuries”,he explained and moved away.

Gasp and murmur filtered into my ear.

Does he wants to kill me? I have had enough ‘attention’ but he seems not to care.

“What injuries?”,I turned to ask him,which became a mistake on my part as our faces are only inches apart,any slight movement and we will…..

I shifted quickly away from him. What am I always putting myself in an awkward position with him.

He frowned but it disappeared immediately as it came.

“He noticed that you were wincing when he grabbed your hand”,he said and his next statement left my mouth hanging and all the student laughed at me.

“Next time..when you wanna handle your man sex,be careful. I don’t want Taeyhung turning to a doctor for your sake”.

I watched him saunter off.
