FLAME - EPISODE 21

JUNG AERA

Two weeks after……

After that horrifying incident with the angry student and getting discharged from the hospital,I have really tried my best in avoiding Jim-in because it seems anytime Jim-in isn’t beside me,the student doesn’t even recognize my existence and it makes me glad. But a small part of me still feels guilty of how I keep ignoring and avoiding them. Though, I console myself that it is for the best.

“Hey”,someone called my name.

I turned and saw a guy standing and staring at me.

“Hi?”,I said more like a question.

“Aera right?”,he said with a smile.

Ohh! This is getting creepy!

I could only nod to his question.

“I have been meaning to talk with you but I couldn’t bring myself to”,he said,that awkward smile still on his face.

‘Why then did you talk to me now’,I wanted to say but I know better than to do that.

“Mind if we become friends?”,he asked as he walked towards me stretching forth his hand.

Oh God!,I want to face palm myself.

“Of course!”,I beamed at him,ignoring how steetched hand.

“Great!”,his smile stretched further.

“Oh..I forgot to intoduce myself”,he hit his forehead lightly.

“I am Ki Min-jun”.

“I am going in for class”,I stated blmakly with no interest to further the topic.

“Let’s go in”,he said and ushered me to the lecture hall.

“Uhn?”,I stared at him,really confused.

“I major in Korea language and so we having general class today”,he said while walking.

‘God! Am I supposed to seat with him for an hour and 30 minutes’,I almost burst into tears.

We walked in and I quickly rushed to the back seat after my first experience but this lecture hall seems different from the others….Maybe because it’s for a general class. It has no gold seat nor is it separated from the others.

The lecture hall was like that of a stadium,where each row is higher than the next. A big screen was placed in front of the class where the lecture will be cinveyed from.

I furrowed my brow when I saw Min-jun seating beside me.

“What are you doing here?”,I feel uncomfortable with his presence close to me.

I chose the back seat thinking maybe he will seat at the front with the other wealthy kids.

“Attending class”,he answered me with a cheeky grin.

‘Duh! I know you are attending class. I want you far from me’,I muttered under my breath.

“Did you say something?”,he asked while bringing a note from his bag.

“Nope!”,I shook my head.

Soon after the lecturer walked in and the class became eerily silent as we watched him climb the podium with a laptop in hand. Maybe he wants to connect it to the screen.

The class that was eerily silent when the lecturer walked in began to murmur and buzz like bees when the lecture hall door opened and….

Oh my God!,I almost screamed.

What is he doing here?,my face paled drastically.

Jim-in!,I gasped softly.

Isn’t he cute!,the murmurs continued.

I can’t help it and gawk at his face.

It was at this time that I took in his features and recognized his handsomeness. His features were sharp and almost eye piercing,making me wonder how I have missed not noticing it before.

He has auburn(reddish brown)hair that was cut low at the sides and the one in the middle moving all the way to the front,to cover the right side of his his face.

My eyes gazed slowly down to his light reddish pink lips that always smile goofily at me,then. No abs,no packs.. Just that pretty boy look. Korean pretty boy!

He is clothed in black shirt and black pants. However his neat outfit made him look dazzling,more like a seducing devil!

Wait!

Was I checking him out?

What is wrong with you Aera?

His eyes moved and immediately I lowered mine,not wanting him to see me. I began to scribble rubbish on my note,avoiding to look up. I am so grateful that I chose the back seat where I will be invisible.

“Hey Aera!”

I looked up and that familiar goofy grin was still plastered on hia handsome face.

Handsome?!

AERA!!

The murmurs elevated.

“Class is about to start”,Min-jun leaned into me.

I could swear I saw Jim-in frown but I shruggged it off.

I brought out my note and I began to pay attention to what the lecturer is saying trying to act unperturbed by Jim-in closeness beside me.

I inhaled and tried to stabilize my heart beat and focus more on the lecture but instead my nose smelt something nice,making me swallow.

‘Oh my God!….he smells so good! He smells of citrus..sniff*….vanilla…sniff*..ohh,is that lily oil?..sniff*..ohh..and something spicy..like mint?.

I didn’t even know that I have leaned close to him and he is smiling brightly.

“You don’t have to sniff. I can let you hug me all you want and then you’d inhale my musky smell all you want”

“My God!”,I gasped and moved back like I have been burnt while touching something hot.

I have been caught in the act!

Likewise,he leaned on my shoulder and whispered into my ear….,”I love that you like my cologne….I’ll be using it often”.

My cheeks flushed red as I couldn’t help the heat speeding across my body.

‘What is he doing to me!!

HELP!!!!

He tucks my hair behind my ear and I shivered with his touch as I felt electrifying sensation course through my body.

He leaned and whispered in my ear,”I have missed my naive rabbit”.

I shivered again as his breath fanned the sensitive part of my neck. His deep and sexy voice also has something to do with it. I never thought that the combination of his breath and voice could make my body react like this.

I closed my eyes as I am feeling confused and no matter how try I can’t listen to the lecturer.

‘What is going on?’

‘Why am I feeling this way?’

So many questions i have that needs answer so dearly.

Taeyhung left the college through the first gate and drove straight to the private investigator that he paid,home. He has a gut feeling that things are not how they seem to be and he wants slove the puzzle and then quench his thirst for the truth.

Once he arrived at the man home,he stepped out of his car and…..

SWOOSH!

Something moved and grazed his ear with a lightning speed.

His survival instinct kicked in and he ducked and squatted by the side of his car for safety. He touched his ear and away that it’s bleeding. The only thing that came to his mind was BULLET!

Immediately he rushed into his car and drove swiftly out of there.

‘Someone wants me dead’,that thought kept ringing in his head.

If he didn’t move slightly je wiuld have been sprawled on the floor because that bullet was aimed for his head.

Thia is bad!

Someone is trailing him and it confirms his suspicion that indeed there is really a dark secret been hidden.
