FLAME - EPISODE 19

Ever since Mrs Jung lost her job,she has been bitter and withdrawn. She would make a fuss out of little things and Ara was at the receiving end. Ara couldn’t really bkame her mother for everything and so,slowly her bitterness and spite for Aera grew with no limit.
She promised to avenge her mother!

As the devil would have it,Ara heard her exfriends gossiping about the famous Jin college,the school Aera attends.

She eavesdropped on their conversation;

“I heard that Jin college will be having a fresher’s party for its new intake”

“Ohh I wish I had the opportunity of attending!”

A light bulb lit on the top of Ara head as she thought of a brilliant plan– A plan that finally brought Aera to her sick bed. She made use of the opportunity that practically everyone was obsessed with Jim-in and it seems it all worked in her favor as there seems to be an uproar in Jin college for about three days now…but she doesn’t know the details!

LEE JIM-IN

Three days earlier……

“Damn it!”,I growled in fustration as I don’t know what to do anymore. My brain refuse to think or come up with any solution. I glanced at Taeyhung and for the very first time since I could recall,he looks antsy and not in total control of his mood.

“Are you sure the footage stopped here?”,I snapped at Ji-hoo.

He fake a hurt expression. “I am actually hurt you doubt my skills”,he said.

We are standing right where Aera would have walked in to her class but she is not here and not in class. Everything seems abnormally calm for my liking.

“We’d have to split up”,Taeyhung suggested and I agreed.

“I’ll check the learner’s swim pool”,I told them and ran off.

‘God let me find her’,I prayed as I rushed into the swim pool and the scene I met was really a heart wenching one. For the very first time,I felt useless and not in control of the situation. I came late and I am not able to save her as she landed in the pool right in front of me.

I quickly texted Taeyhung and told him what I found.

“I’ll make sure you all cry for mercy”,I snarled in pure fury and then they all turn to face me,as I had already gained their attention.

I rushed and without thinking,I went into the pool and left a lot of people shocked. I held Aera hand from sinking and kept flapping the water relentlessly until I got to the rim of the pool.

Ji-hoo walked in immediately and rushed over to me, “I’ll take her to the hospital”,he offered and I agreed.

I have some unfinished business.

I could Swear Taeyhung eyes dilated and turned pitch black as he watched Ji-hoo carry a totally bruised Aera away.

“Who led this mob?”,I gritted my teeth in anger.

Everyone became mute as they were visibly shaking in fright.

“You don’t want to answer?”,Taeyhung yelled but they still kept mute.

I’ll make you answer me then”,he smirked and swiftly grabbed a guy close to him and within seconds cracking of bones were heard and everyone broke into cold sweat as the guy voice rang in the air with pure pain and torture.

“Stop whining”,Tae smirked.

“I only broke your finger”,he added and kicked the guy away from him.

“Anyone planning to keep mute?”,I sneered and I began to hear incoherent murmurs.

“Talk and maybe I won’t cause a lot of damage to your bones”,I threatened them.

Authoress thought: But you will still break their bones!…..you are not giving them a better option na!

“Its Kim Nana but we are all in full support of it! She stole you from us! What does she have that we don’t! You are not even fair to us oppa”,a lady said as her eyes teared up.

“Stupid”,I clicked my tongue in anger and moved close to where the lady stood and pushed her to the pool and she fell into the pool gasping for air.

“You think you can place yourself beside me….your shadow doesn’t worth my breath more or less your entire existence”,I snapped at her.

“Help! Help! Help”,she pleaded and continued to gasp for air.

I looked away from her with no ounce of pity and faced the little crowd who dared to harden their heart to hurt my naive rabbit!

“I won’t spare any one of you”,I assured them with a smirk plastered permanently on my face.

“I’ll take the guys…I enjoy crushing bones”,Tae grinned at me.

“Go ahead”,I grinned back.

‘While I enjoy destroying beauties’,I mused.

One by one I began to hit the ladies really hard with the basketball and pushed them into the pool. Their screams and pleas for help made me smile as I derived satisfaction from hurting them.

Lastly,stood Kim Nana all proud and defiant. “I know you’d think wisely before hurting a Kim and furthermore when did you start getting involved in petty matters like this”.

I fired a ball straight to her head and she fell to the ground and screamed in pain.

True enough,the Kim’s are the third largest family name and most influential,just behind the Park’s and Lee’s. So hurting her will definitely cause and uproar but I don’t care.

I yanked her by her hair and pulled her up,making her face me while I moved the ball in my hand languidly.

“I am a Lee and your family is far behind mine. Tell me….why won’t I hurt you?”,I glared at her but she didn’t give me an answer.

“You have 5 seconds to give me an answer. Give me a wrong answer,I’d have to hit you again”,I added with a lopsided grin,Really enjoying the torture and the scared expression on her face,right now.

“Because it’d cause an uproar and then the Kim and Lee will be in a huge family war”,she said with so much confidence.

“Wrong”,I threw the ball at her and another.

“I don’t care if Third world war will occur if the Lee’s and Kim’s become sworn enemy”,I said and threw another ball and this time,straight to her head,causing her to fall.

I brought a new Scissors out of my coat pocket,that gleams when the sun reflects in it.

“You should suffer mire more fate than them,don’t you think?”,I said while glancing at the people who obviously can’t swim and are trying to stay afloat in other to breathe.

I moved and squat close to Nana and she whimpered in both pain and fright.

“I hope this will teach you a lesson and if it doesn’t…I’d be happy to teach you more”,I winked at her and began to cut her hair.

“Noooooooo!!!!!”,she burst into fresh tears as shebpleaded and of course,I didn’t listen

That happened three days ago and still Aera hasn’t regained consciousness.

“She shut her self up subconsciously and her way to protect herself from the mental and emotional torture. She will only wake up when she feels she is safe again and sadly we don’t know when”,the doctor explained her condition to Tae and I.

I felt so out of it,not knowing what to do,other than check Aera every single day and it hurts that she is not waking up. It looks like she fell asleep.

“Aera”,I called her name gently as I held her hand that was connected to an IV.

“Pleas wake up”.

I feel so helpless!

2Hours later…

I sat solemnly staring at her peaceful face and I wished it’d flutter open and it did.

Wait!

Aera is awake!

I rushed to her side and her eyes widened seeing Tae and I in here. I quickly pressed the bell to signal the doctor.

“What are you guys doing here?”,she withdrew her hand from mine and stared closely at me and then at Taeyhung.

“Have you both not caused me enough pain? Please let me be so that I can focus on my education”,she pleaded and almost went hysterical.

The doctor came in and Aera pleaded that she should be sent to another room because she doesn’t want to see us again.

“Aera”,Taeyhung called her,ever so softly.

“No”,she shook her head and buried her face in the hospital bed

“Go! I want to live in peace”,she sobbed into the pillow.

“Am sorry but you have to leave…she is getting hysterical and its not good for the patient”

‘Really!’

Just an incident made her back away from me!

“We understand”,Taeyhung nodded and practically dragged me out of the hospital.

With my head downcast I waled into my car nad slumped on mg seat in defeat.
