FLAME - EPISODE 16

JUNG AERA

I bit on my bottom lips as an act of nervousness. His next word left me speechless and wondering on his level of shamelessness.

“Those seem juicy,mind if I help you with it”.

*bang*,I pushed him of the couch that we are both seating on and he fell to the floor with a thud.

Pervert!

“What was that for?”,he grumbled while rubbing his hip bone and forehead.

“Are you going to be happy seeing me in the hospital?”,he continues his complaint.

Well….Maybe I pushed him to hard.

“Sorry”,I apologised but still glared at him,”if you’d had stop behaving like a pervert”.

“Nice way to apologize”,he smirked.

I bit my lips to caution myself.

“I’ll go get you an ice pack”,I offered and left immediately.

Minutes later I was back with one,it wasn’t easy to get it as everyone is busy downing shots with ice cubes.

Jim-in made to grab the ice pack from me but I insisted on doing it.

I helped him back to the couch,stood in front of him with an icepack in hand while he sat still on the couch. I placed the ice pack on his forehead,where a little bump is sticking out.

“Does it hurt? It looks painful”,I asked as I trailed my finger unconsciously around his bump.

“Of course it hurts”,he let out a groan of exasperation,whilst giving me ‘was it supposed to be okay! Of course it would hurt!’,look.

“Am so sorry! It wasn’t intentional! Your words hit the wrong spot”,I tried to explain my self while holding the icepack firmly on his forehead.

“Don’t worry about it….it will fade off..soon”,Jim-in said,I guess trying to make me feel better.

“Would you like to make it up to me?”,he asked. I missed the mischief laced in his tone.

“Yes! Of course! What do you want? I’ll do anything”,I nod my head profusely and waited for his next word.

“Are you sure you’d do anything?”,he asked,his face and tone were both expressionless.

I nod my head hastily to affirm what I earlier said.

“Then kiss me where it hurts”,he said and pointed to his forehead,”Right here”.

I stiffened and backed away from him immediately. What was I expecting of a shamelss human?

“What?No!”,I waved my hand in disagreement.

“How shameless! Why would I do something like that?”,I frowned.

“You asked what I want and that’s what I want”,he said it like he was stating the obvious.

Well…he is kinda stating the obvious!

But that doesn’t me a I’ll do it.

Hmmph!

“You really are a great business man…studying business is really your line of pursuit,Lee Jim-in”,I sneered.

“Such an opportunist!”,I added with a scoff.

A devilish smile appeared on his handsome face when he replied, “Why..Thank you!”.

I couldn’t help but let out a goofy smile.

Who would have thought that this fresher’s party wouldn’t have sucked so much and plus Aera is around.

Who would have also thought that the great Lee Jim-in who acts all cold to a lady will actually stick to Aera like a leech.

How ironic right?

Teasing her is so much fun,as I get to know her and get to watch her various countenance. Trust me,its amusing how someone can act all shy,naive and cute and at the same time act all worked up when am been ‘shameless’as she calls it. It strikes me as she doesn’t fake nor pretend around me,its like she doesn’t care about who I am when other ladies will be acting all prim and proper,containing their laughter and end up giggling,excess perfume,go all out to dress to please. Aera,instead does the opposite and I like it.

“Such an opportunist”,she scoffed at my demand.

Actually,I didn’t demand for much. Just a kiss on my forehead,is it too much to ask?

“Why..Thank you!”.

She moved forward closer to me,after backing away and immediately pressed the icepack more firmly to my forehead and snapped at me, “That wasn’t supposed to be a compliment”.

“Aw…”,I recoiled as the pressure on my forehead made the bump hurt more.

“Did you just–,I stared at her both shocked and surprised.

To what extent can she go to prove to me that she isn’t afraid of the LEE name and also not afraid of me?

Wow!

Not that I am angry though!

Noticing what she did,she rendered an apology almost immediately.

Not wanting her to recoil and been distant again,I swiped the icepack from her hand and threw it to the floor. Startled by what I did,Aera continued her apology from where she stopped.

“Am sorry!I did that out of instinct! It was a mistake and it won’t happen again!”.

Immediately she picked up the the throw pillow that lay beside the couch and hid her face behind it and it made me smirk as I thought of how I’d get even with her.

I tried taking the throw pillow from her but she held unto it firmly.

“So that’s how you are! You like to hurt me and say sorry? What mistake? I’ll show you what a mistake is!”,I taunted her.

“No,Jim-in!….I didn’t mean it”.

“Tell that to my face and stop hiding behind a stupid throw pillow!”.

I wrestled with her,to get the pillow away from her face but instead,her strength heightens and her grip on the throw pillow become firmer Every time I try.

Feeling mischievous,I sneaked my arm around her side and tickled her waist and it made her squeal and loosen he grip on the pillow.

I fling the fluffy throw pillow one side and managed to pull Aera close to me and pinned her beneath me,under the couch. Not noticing the intimate position we both are in.

Both Aera and I panted after our little tussle and then we both realized the way posture and damn….it is getting awkward,cause now I don’t know what to do.

I stared at Aera and watched her bite her bottom lips and I know too well that when she does that,she is nervous! My eyes didn’t leave does plump lips.Her little action only ignited the flames that were safely hidden inside of me.

My phone rang and it was my saving grace. I stood immediately and checked the caller ID– Taeyhung.

I glanced at Aera who has already hid her face in the throw pillow. I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“I’ll be back in a while and after that,I’ll be dropping you off in your dorm”,I said and walked away.

I leaned against the nearest door and placed my hand on chest and patted it,as if telling it to calm down. I chuckled and wonder how I was able to restrain myself from kissing and drowning in pleasure,right there with Aera. It was really so unlike me!

Seeing Taeyhung persistence calling,I picked up.

“What is it?”

Once Jim-in left, I flung the throw pillow away and held my red face together in my palm. I patted my chest while telling my heart to calm down.. It had been acting strangely anytime Jim-in is around and I don’t know why. Sometimesy heart will be as calm as a stillpond and other times it would be galloping like a crazy horse,like now.

Soon after,I began to fan myself as I felt my flushed face and the heat creeping all over my body even with the high air conditioner blowing.

‘Ohh…I need to take a bath’,I mused.

A really cold bath!
