FLAME - EPISODE 14

Author POV

Taeyhung can be seen in the mansion of his parent home.

“Son,I want you to go back to college…I can handle your mother!”,his dad pats his shoulder.

“Are you sure?”,Taeyhung asked his dad while staring at his mother who is sleeping while hugging a photo fame. The scene ached Tae’s heart.

“Am sure,son”.

Tae nods his head and stood up…..

“I’ll go back to Jin college by dawn”.

“Thanks son”.

JUNG AERA
I kept on sighing as Seoyeon kept talking about what happened with the pervert Ji-hoo,as she calls him.

“I would have turned to a mash potato whilst drooling”,Mei confessed which earned her a smack on her forehead.

“What was that for?”,Mei pouts while rubbing her forehead.

“You should support me”,Seoyeon exasperated.

“Ohh”,she clapped her hands together and stood up gingerly front the bed. “He brought this”.

I turned and saw her holding a deep royal blue dress.

“Gosh! Its so beautiful”,Mei gushed over the attire while I just sat mute staring at the dress,afraid of touching it.

It just cost a fortune!

“You are so lucky”,Mei said with her eyes still locked on my dress

NIGHT IN JIN…..

I walked into the party with Mei.. .Seoyeon had to go,since she will be handling the music.

The hall has a huge grand door that opens when you get close to it. Once the door opens,all eyes will be on you.

‘Geez! Attention seekers’,I grunted.

“Have fun….! No one will know its you”,Mei pats my shoulder.

I nod and Mei pushed the door and we walked in with eyes staring at us.

“I know that is Huang Mei but i don’t know the other lady”,I could hear whispers around me.

Oh right!

Mei decided to get me a masquerade mask,so last minute and it is really worth it because I can move freely and no one will molest me.

I have to thank Taeyhung for the dress because I don’t think any cloth in my closet will fit this party.

LEE JIM-IN

I sat still and watched how everyone are mingling with each other,while I am waiting for a particular naive rabbit.

“Hi Oppa”,A lady whom I recoginise to be the heiress of the Kim’s fortune smile and even sat on the available seat close to me.

“You look handsome”,she added and even placed her hand on my arm.

“Why don’t we dance to start the party”,she intertwined her arm with mine but I still didn’t budge nor say a word,more or less glance at her.

My mind is on the lady who will walk in and avoid me as much as she could.

The huge door opened and everyone turned to see who the next person is to walk in. A smirk danced in the corner of my lips as I saw her fiddle with her finger in nervousness while trying to behave normal. Everyone didn’t know it was her but I know her even if she put on a heavy lid as mask.

She was wearing a deep royal blue off the shoulder mermaid dress. Its edges were glittering as it was adorned with fine gemstones around her curves. Her slightly wavy black hair was strightenex and pulled to a side….showing of her smooth neck which had healed of it wound.

To Lee Jim-in,Aera beauty isn’t the type to awe masses,but her facial features are delicate and easy to remember. There were such women whose beauty was not stunning but still enchanting all the same. And it so happens that Aera is one of those women who could captivate those around her with her unique presence.

“Jim-in”,the lady called my name and then I glanced at her.

“My date is here”,I said and left without offering more explanation.

I walked up to Aera who is sipping her drink while glancing at everyone,every now and then.

“May I have this dance?”,I asked her with a mischievous smile.

She choked on her drink and stared at me in surprise.
“Do you know me?”,it came out like a whisper

“Of course not”,I smirked and pulled her to the dancefloor.

“But I’d love to know the pretty lady behind thr mask”

“I don’t know how to dance”,she confessed,while tactically avoidinh my request.

“You learn”,I beamed at her,and pulled her to the dancefloor.

After a while of dancing,I pulled her to join the game which she is grumbling about.

“Are you sure you don’t know me?”,she asked me again.

“Are you trying to introduce yourself because I really don’t know you”,I said plainly,without any hint of lying.

“Okay”,she smiled and allowed me to take her to the game arena.

JUNG AERA

After Jim-in weird confession yesterday,I have been slightly unease. Is he kidding?

I just ran off like a baby!

Seeing today him at this party makes me want to kiss Mei feet for the mask which seems to hide my identity from the crowd and luckily,he doesn’t seem to recognize me .

I even asked to re-affirm and I got it!

Jim-in doesn’t recognize me with the mask.

Yipee!

We walked into the game arena and every lady eyes are glued on Jim-in who doesn’t seem to care.

We walked to the far end of the arena and he took two snooker stick.

“Do you know how to play”,he asked after giving me a snooker stick.

I shook my head.

He beckoned on to me,”Come,let me show you how snooker is played”.

I walked stood beside the snooker table and he bent my back slightly,while positioning the stick close to a small ball.

“You lower……

I didn’t even hear the rest of the teaching as my mind is clouded with Jim-in proximity…he is literally leaning into me with his head hung on my shoulder. His breath fanned my cheek whenever he talked and I can swear I am already ripe scorching RED!

I cleared my throat to say something but his next action left me swallowing my word.

He stood straight and turned my face to his,while leaning my body on the snooker board.

I didn’t even know I had a stray hair until he tucked it behind my ear.

“You look beautiful”.

I managed to mumbled an incoherent “Thanks”.

“Do you really think I wouldn’t know it’s you….Aera!”,he said while looking straight into my eyes.

“No!”,I pushed him back.

I looked around and saw that people were gazing at us.

“I am not Aera”,I tried to fake a voice.

He laughed my act off.
