FLAME - EPISODE 11

LEE JIM-IN

“Who are you?”,Aera mom reiterated her earlier question.

“I am Jim-in the one who got you sacked. I am the higher up”,I smirked and chuckled at her reaction.

“What are you doing here?”,she snarled at me.

“I came to introduce myself. You know,it will be a disrespect putting you in the dark of how you lost your job”,I smiled.

She faced Aera,”you wicked soul! You went and asked for back up”.

“No mother”,she shook her head hastily.

“I didn’t know”,she added while looking at me for explanation.

I smiled.

I faced her mom and my expression changed to a more colder one.

“Do you know why you got dismissed?”,I raised my brow at her.

She only glared at me as my answer.

“Because you were been unreasonable with your own child and it is affecting her psychological being and so I can’t seat and watch when I can help”,I shrugged my shoulder,like what I said shouldn’t make a big deal.

She jumped from her seat and slapped me across my cheek.

“You young kids think that once power is giving to you,you can oppress others and go away with it”,she yelled in anger.

“Are you been professional that way? Why mix my family problem with business. You kids never learn.”

“Anyways….your company will soon know that they lost a jewel while making a rash decision”.

“Mom!”,her two girls chorused in shock.

“Don’t you know who he is?”,the other daughter whispered to her mom.

Her mom faced her and defiantly said “Is he the president son? If not I don’t care”,she yelled.

I sat still and watched the unfolding drama.

I got slapped. Twice!

She moved back close to me and made to drag Aera from me but I held Aera hand firmly and glared dangerously at her as I exuded a very deadly aura.

She moved back a little in fright but hid it well which of course didn’t escape my sharp eyesight. She pointed accusing fingers at Aera “Its all your fault. After all I have done for you..you went ahead to stab me in the back. I can’t believe you are this despicable,opening your legs for men just so you can get what you wish. Does he know about the other guy who brought you home”.

I pulled Area gently close to me and stood up. “We will be leaving. You spouting nonsense is giving me headache”.

But Aera rushed out of my embrace and hugged her mother.

“I didn’t know about all this mother,please believe me”

“Get away from me you harlot”,her mother yelled and pushed her away making her fall to the floor crying.

My heart ached for her.

Is this what she goes through everyday?

“Do you think he can save you from me? Today,I’ll make sure you see hell and wish to stay there than be with me”.

Her slippers flew to Aera face and she yelped and curled her body into a ball.

I moved and held her mom hand and pushed jer to the chair.

“Don’t you try raising your hand on her again”,I snarled at her and picked Aera gently from the floor and left the home and dropped her gently on the back seat.

“I’ll be back”,I told her and went back into her home.

“Where are you taking her to?”,her mom yelled at me.

“Why do you care?”,I snapped at her and picked up Aera bagpack and made to leave when the mother blocked my view.

“I know your type. You pretend to care and after getting what you want you run away”,she spat on my face.

I closed my eyes amd tightened it as my jaw clenched in anger.

“Mother!”,her daughter yelled.

I opened my eyes and it was laced with pure fury.

“Speaking of my type?”,I clicked my tongue in annoyance.

“I’ll let you know about what I want”,I smirked and brought out my phone and dialed a certain number.

“I want a full bio detail of Mrs Jung…..yes….the one who got dismissed”,I ended the call.

“Do you know what I’ll do with it?…

“I’ll make sure you are blacklisted in the business world and then you’d be stranded with no job”,I smiled and she stepped back in shock.

“Who are you?”,she fumed.

I chuckled “You should have known before you messed with me…cause you messed with the wrong person”.

I left and banged the door but I heard the last conversation between the duo….

“He is Lee Jim-in from the Lee family”,Ara yelled.

“WHAT! Why didn’t you tell me?

“Ohh,I am so doomed”

“Did you even let me speak?”,Ara continues to yell.

TWO DAYS LATER…..

Authoress POV

After the scene that ensued at Aera home,she hasn’t stepped her foot in that home since then. She now stays in the school dorm with the help of Jim-in. She won’t argue that it hasn’t been peaceful staying in the college dorm with no one to make her hair stand.

She has been able to cope in school and has been avoiding anything that will make her come in contact with any of those rich kids. The head of the bully group Rae bin hasn’t showed up for for Two days now and so with Jim-in and his friends.

Sitting in the dorm alone,her roomies (2)have gone for their classes. She decided to head home and grab some of her important stuff and resign from the laundry mart she works in.

‘I’ll miss Cho-hee’,she mused.

JUNG AERA

Once I got in,I met Ara sitting on the couch immersed with her phone.

“Mom..I told you it won’t….

“Ohh…its the accursed one”,she sneered once ahe looked up and saw it was I.

I didn’t say anything and made to go to my store like room.

‘Thank God mom isn’t home”,I sighed in relief.

Ara rushed to me and blocked way.

“Where do you think you are going to? You are so heartless! After the scene you caused here,you have the effrontery to Come here”.

“Do I look like i am here to stay?”,I glared at her and pushed her away and continued to make my way to my room.

I won’t let myself be bullied anymore not if I can help it,especially from my age group.

I took all my necessity and stuffed them in a portable travel bag.

I came out and met Ara standing and waiting for me by the side of my room.

“Tell your boyfriend to give mom back her job or at least let her get job else where”,Ara ordered me.

I didn’t say a word.

“I underestimated you and it was a big mistake on my side. Your desperation let you give your body out. For that you became a cheap harlot”,she said to spite me.

“And you are?”,I eyed her.

“All the abortion pills in your bag pack”,I divulged.

She stepped back in fright looked at with shock.

“How did I know?”,I chuckled.

“Do you know what is much more disgusting than a cheap harlot?”,I asked her as I gingerly worked up to her.

“A lady who is a hypocrite. Faking who she really is and that’s who you are Ara”,I told her to her face.

She was shocked at my outburst.

“Why didn’t you tell on me?”,she asked.

“You still don’t understand,do you?”,I shook my head.

“I wanted you to love me! I wanted a sister! I felt that even if mother hates me I can still bear if you like me but No,it was all a wishful thinking on my side”

“I did all manner of things to get your attention and your love but its all over now. I don’t care what you think of me anymore”.

“Is it because you got yourself a a rich boyfriend?”,she sneered at me.

“They don’t last and you’d come running back to mom in pain and then I’ll not even beg on your behalf.

I chuckled. “When have you pleaded on my behalf?”

“About the boyfriend thing….it must be your luck or karma giving you the bad fruit”,I smirked at her.

“Mine is a good catch. A golden fish at that! Not one but two”,I giggled.

She clenched her teeth in anger and made to slap me.

“I’d think twice before raising your hand at me…it was mom that received his wrath before,yours might be worst”,I smirked at her.

“Ohh….and what will the damsel in distress tell her boyfriend to do to a college student”,she mimicked a nerdy voice.

“Exactly!…I’d just request for you to be removed from that college or worst like blacklisting….depending on the slap”,I smirked at her.

“Go on…I dare you to try”,I urged her and placed mg face close to her hand.

She retreated and dropped her hand to her side and she clenched it in anger.

“Like I thought”,I giggled and walked out.
