As soon as Jonathan and Estelle left the Jarvis family, word that they had gotten the earrings reached Baldrick’s ears.

Baldrick, who was lying in bed recuperating from his injuries, immediately sat up in disbelief, exclaiming, ‘How is that possible?”

Just yesterday, despite his head injury, he personally visited the Jarvis family with Winnie, but he didn’t even get to see Old Mr. Jarvis

Despite he mentioning his grandfather’s reputation, the elderly butter calmly served him a cup of tea Politely, the butler explained that Old Mr. Jarvis was unwell and couldn’t receive any visitors to prevent the spread of his illness

Baldrick’s trusted a*sistant speculated, “Could Miss Winnie have told Ms Macclain? They seem to have a good relationship.”

Baldrick thought for a moment, shook his head, and said. “Winnie isn’t that stupid. She’s been with me for so many years and knows the rules.”

He had already lost out on the earrings and needed to think of another plan quickly!

The a*sistant worriedly said, “Since Jonathan knows about the earrings, he must also know that you went looking for the earrings without telling him. Would he harbor any ill feelings towards you?”

At noon, Krus stayed at Baldrick’s villa for lunch, accompanied by Winnie.

Since Baldrick himself couldn’t drink, he had Winnie drink with Krus.

Winnie saw Baldrick give her a signal and picked up the wine bottle to pour a drink for Krus, saying, “Mr. Krus, if you’re available, you should visit our B City. It’s a completely different place from C City, and I guarantee you’ll love it.”

Krus’s blue eyes seemed somewhat drunken as he held onto Winnie’s wrist and stared at her, asking, “Is Miss Winnie from B City?”

His English wasn’t as good as Schilder’s, with an unsteady accent, but he managed to convey his meaning

Winnie maintained her smile, replying. “No, I’m from J City. It is also a great place”
