“Tabatha, aren’t you curious about how I suddenly knew you weren’t pregnant?” She stopped me with her words, her tone cold. “Why don’t you give your best friend a call and ask her where she is right now? See if she’s doing okay?”

I froze in place, looking back at her, a sense of foreboding rising in my heart, Rachel…

I coldly stared at Ashley, stepping forward a few paces, glaring at her, “Ashley, what did you do to Rachel?”

Seeing my anxiety, she was in a great mood, squinting her eyes and starting to laugh, “What’s the big deal? What could I, a pregnant woman, do to her? She brought it upon herself, insisting on squeezing into Henry’s life, interfering with his affairs, and ended up being taken away by Henry.”

Seeing my flustered and faultless appearance, Ashley laughed and mocked, “Such deep sisterly love indeed.”

“Call now!” I didn’t have the mood to talk more with her, only praying in my heart that Rachel was okay.

Seeing this, she took out her phone and dialed Henry’s number. The call seemed to be answered in no time, but I couldn’t hear the voice on

the other end.

I just saw Ashley push me away and say into the phone, “Hello, husband.”

I didn’t want to wait for Ashley to dawdle, so I snatched the phone from her hand and said into the receiver, “Henry, don’t hurt Rachel…”

Halfway through speaking, I suddenly realized that there was no sound on the other end of the phone. Instinctively, I glanced at my phone and saw that Ashley hadn’t made a call at all on the screen.

I looked at her, and she was smirking at me with a face full of sarcasm at that moment, her gaze was like looking at a monkey being teased by

her.

“Tabatha, stop!” A deep and stern voice of a man came from behind.

I froze, instinctively turning around, to see Walter sprinting towards the gazebo.

My hand, which was clutching Ashley’s neck, subconsciously loosened. Suddenly, I heard Ashley’s gloating voice, “Tabatha, I want you to lose completely.”

Before I could react.

“Splash!” I quickly turned around, only to see her fall into the pond. under the pavilion without any warning.

“Swoosh!” A figure swiftly flashed past me and immediately jumped into the pool.

It was Walter.

Watching the two people struggling in the pool, I stood frozen in place, my mind somewhat dazed. Everything that had just happened was too sudden, I hadn’t yet processed what exactly was going on.

“Someone’s fallen in the water… Someone’s fallen in the water, help, someone’s fallen in the water!” The people near the pond noticed the two splashing in the water and started shouting.

The noise was too loud, the bodyguards of the Hinton family heard it and all rushed over, jumping into the pool. Before long, Walter and Ashley were pulled up.

Ashley choked on water and was unconscious when she was pulled up. Walter knelt beside her, giving her artificial respiration. After a while, she suddenly spat out a mouthful of water and woke up.

Someone brought over a blanket, and Walter hastily wrapped it around her.

Once they had calmed down, someone quickly went to find a doctor.

Awakening, Ashley looked around weakly, her gaze falling on Walter. Suddenly, tears began to pour down her face. She curled her petite body into Walter’s arms, clutching tightly at his sleeves, her eyes red as she said, “Walter, I thought… I thought I would never see you again.”
