” Minnie you heard wrong, ….

“I don’t remember having any problem with my ears so just shut it and tell me where Nella is, else I’ll tell this to the whole Paris!” she said

” No Minnie, I’m doing all these for you, for your future” he replied

” We need her wealth to be ok, we need the properties to be fine, handing them over to her will make us suffer” he said

She tried to dial the security line but Evans snatched the phone from her and smashed it

He tried grabbing her but she ran down the stairs, throwing her backpack down

“Back from Las Vegas?” Bentley said, walking to Bob

“I’ll tell you everything…. everything from the beginning” Bob said and Bentley shrugged

They left the ward and Velvet followed, they went to the rooftop and Bentley faced him after putting on the recorder, Velvet stood behind

“I was forced, it wasn’t my fault” Bob said

“How?”

” I was assigned to take Nella out of the house and get her killed but I just couldn’t do it, and I don’t want her dead too, that’s why I decided to save her” he said

“What are you talking about?”

” He was the one who payed assassins to kill Nella’s parents cos he knows if they die, since Nella was still so young back then, he’ll be the one to handle the numerous properties….he took her in after assassinating her parents then he pretended like he loves her like his daughter while looking for ways to move her out of the way too…

“She turned eighteen in the beginning of this year,then he sensed the time to handover the properties is drawing near, he assigned me as his most trusted man to take her away from the house and kill her…after lying to her that I was going to take her to his friend who has great connections with BLACKPINK, we left the house though I never had it in mind to kill her …

“We flew to Mexico together, I planned to hide her somewhere there but I figured out that he might find her, I decided to report, that’s why I came to meet you at the station but I lost courage, thinking that if he escapes, Nella’s life will be in danger…

“We lodged in an hotel, she was just so happy and enthusiastic about meeting someone who’ll link her up, while taking her bedtime shower, she slipped in the bathroom and fell, the doctor confirmed it that he’s hundred percent sure that she’ll wake up with amnesia, I thought that’s even better, I flew her to Korea though she was conscious but her consciousness wasn’t strong, just like a living dead…

“We got to Korea and I dropped her at a park, watching her secretly, I never stopped watching her till I made sure someone helped her and luckily it was Jeremy, remember I once visited Korea with you and I met him back then, when she left with the Jeremy, I heaved in relief and never went back to Paris cos I was tired of being his dog, I traveled to Las Vegas and hid there but then my friend who works in his company called to tell me he overheard him talking about killing Nella on phone..

“I knew instantly that he got her, I’d have called you but I threw my phone away before coming to Las Vegas so I don’t have your contact, I traveled to Mexico just yesterday and your friend at the station told me you’re on leave to Korea, that’s why I came, I went to your house but couldn’t find anyone, the man in the next house told me you guys are here, and that’s why I’m here” Bob explained

” Uncle….. uncle Evans…. uncle Evans killed my parents….why me!!!” Velvet screamed, falling on her knees on the ground, her tears flowed in a rush

“Did you send any evidence to show that she’s dead to him?” Bentley asked

” Yes, when she was still unconscious after the fall, I used red liquid sprinkled allover her, I had to do some makeup work just to make it look as if she was shot on the forehead” he replied and Bentley sighed

” How many people have you killed for him?” Bentley asked

“None…I haven’t killed anyone, Nella was the first work he assigned to me” Bob replied

” Great…..that bastard is going down tommorow unfailingly” Bentley said and went to Velvet who’s still busy crying

” Stop crying…. everything will soon be over” he said

” I’ve been living with my enemy I’m so unlucky” she cried

” First thing tomorrow morning, we’re flying to Paris, to nail him” Bentley said

” Life is so cruel to me” she cried

Early next morning**

“He’ll have people watching you during the day, that’s why it’s advisable for us to leave now” Bentley said as Jeremy wore warming gloves for Velvet who’s putting on more than three sweaters and a muffler around her neck then thick jean trousers and cap

She looks weary and too sad

“Be fine ok?” Jeremy said and she nodded slowly

“Bentley you must catch the culprit….you must” Steve said

” Sure grandpa, I’ve contacted the cops over there, they’ll backup” he replied and Jeremy hugged Velvet

” I’ll miss you” he said

” Same here, but I’ll be back” she replied with a slow smile

He let her go and she stepped out of the house with Bentley

They entered the car that’s waiting and it conveyed them to the airport

It’s full daylight before they got there, they got on board immediately and the flight started….to Paris

Luna’s hospital**

Agatha has refused to talk to any of her parents since she woke up, she’s just staring into space and if any question was asked, she’d turned her back on them

“Are you seriously gonna continue this way?” Mr Maddox said

“I already said I hate you both” she replied

” You finally talked… Agatha you’re not being fair, fine….I failed to correct you when you were acting pompous and all but I just thought, not all kids can be the same” Mrs Maddox said defensively.

“I lost him!, I’ve lost Jeremy forever mum!, What are you gonna do about that!” She yelled

” Agatha” Peyton said, just coming In

“Peyton why are you here, not like I’ve for once behaved like you’re my friend, I’ve always looked down on you, always boasting that I’m richer” she replied, tears trickling down her cheeks

“I should have come since you fell sick, I just couldn’t bring myself to….I thought you’ll make me feel small as usual, I’m so sorry” she said

Velvet inhaled the air when she got out of the plane with Bentley, looking at her environment

A dry smile escaped her lips when she remembered she’ll be seeing Minnie very soon but another part of her can’t wait for Evans to be apprehended

“The cops I contacted are surrounding the company unnoticed already, he’ll easily be captured” Bentley said

” I hope so” she replied, getting in the car with him, the drive to the company started immediately

Evans has been pacing round his office while looking at his phone screen, waiting for when the call will come in that Nella is dead

He roughed his hair and hit his palm on the table frustratedly

Minnie is still inside her room since yesterday, she has been crying so loud and he’s not planning to let her out till he finishes everything

But everything seems to be taking too late right now

“And why are they not calling!, Why is she not dead already!” He shouted and Kent came in immediately

Kent is his friend and accomplice, he’s his partner in crime

“We need to get out of here right now” he said hurriedly

” I’m having this weird feeling that something bad will happen” he replied

Bentley entered last with Nella behind him and Bob

She continued sinking her teeth into his neck like a vampire and Bentley had to take her forcefully
