“I need to go meet Bryce, jumping into a lagoon will top the list of options in his head right now” Andie said, leaving the ward immediately

Velvet refused to break the hug till Bentley came in and Jeremy gasped, gently breaking it

“Big brother!” She exclaimed shockingly

“Someone is awake” he smiled and Velvet stood from his side, Bentley sat beside him

“It’s really you” Jeremy said, still surprised

“Yeah, not my shadow, how are you feeling right now” Bentley asked

” Just…. just fine, can’t believe this” he replied

“Everything will be sorted out you don’t have to worry, grandpa said you once caught someone stalking her, snapping her pictures in a store” Bentley said

” Yes, I can still remember the face of the guy, he looks dangerous, he drove off in a car with number 7712-JL” he replied

“From a black car, the hand was pointing out from the slightly opened tinted windows” he replied

” It’s just like the one which the stalker drove off in, it might be him” he replied

” Yes, her name is Nella, she came to my station with Bob, Bob is a friend of mine, Bob introduced her to me as his boss’s daughter though I dunno the name of the boss or Bob’s location presently but I’ll contact him” Bentley said

” So….my angel’s real name is Nella?, We’re getting there” Jeremy smiled

” But that means she lost her memory somehow between Mexico and Korea” he said

” Exactly, and someone named Bryce is part of her lost memory” Bentley said

” Bryce?’ Adrian said

“Sure, she mentioned him in three places during my interrogation so it’s the truth” he replied

” But….if he’s part of it, why didn’t he recognize me?” Velvet said confusedly

” It might be from childhood, you can’t have same face as when you were young, it must have changed, the fact that you mentioned a chubby school girl is making me suspect that maybe you both met in elementary school and the kidnapping part…. might be you” Bentley said

” So….you’re insinuating that I’m the chubby girl, how come I’m now fit” Velvet said

” We’ll have all our answers once you regain your memory, I need to interrogate Bryce himself” Bentley said

“Something isn’t right, I still contacted him two weeks ago and he told me he’s in Las Vegas and now his line doesn’t exist?, He’s the only lead we have here, shit!” Bentley said frustratedly

” What to do?” Velvet asked worriedly

“Right now I need you to keep calm, I’ll talk to Bryce tommorow, you can’t go to school till all this gets sorted cos it’ll be too dangerous” Bentley said and she nodded

” I’ll just stay here till Jeremy gets discharged” she replied

” I need to go home and make something for them” Steve said

” I’ll follow you* Bentley replied, going out of the ward with Steve

” I need some air, I’ll give you both some space” Adrian said and left the ward too

Velvet went beside Jeremy again and this time, she slept by his side, facing him

“Your back, it must hurt a lot” she said

“Yeah, but I can always manage with you beside me” he replied and she smiled sadly

” You look sad* he said, touching her face

” Just that… All the leads to finding my real family are all knotted, I don’t know what to do, I don’t want to get hurt, I don’t want anyone to shoot me” she said

“I dunno, seeing you in blood last night almost killed me” she replied sincerely

” Venella…the full form of Nella, so your childhood crush shares my real name, I’m honoured” she replied and he smiled

” Venella Todd, I can still remember, I cried when she left seriously…..but right now, nothing matters but you” he said and she hugged him

Adrian stepped out of the hospital and bumped Into Brittany, even with the mask, he recognizes her as she stopped in front of him

“Brittany?” He said and she took his hand, taking him into her car

“Hey” she said, taking off her mask

“You popped up suddenly” he said, trying not to look at her pouty lips

“I know, I have something to tell you, I hope you won’t be offended” she replied awkwardly

” I’m listening” Jeremy said

” I dunno how to out it but…. Adrian* she said, picking on her nails

“Yes?” He replied

“I…kind of….I dunno” she said slowly, still picking on her fingers

Adrian kept quiet, looking at her expressionlessly as she fidgeted

“I can’t do this…I guess I’ll tell you some other time” she said and made to open the car door so she could step out but,,

Adrian pulled her arm back and she faced him swiftly, he leaned in without wasting a second then smashed his lips on hers, hardly

Brittany wasn’t expecting it but it’s what she badly wants so she kissed him back as hard as he’s doing, slipping her arms on his sides immediately

Adrian broke the kiss and avoided her eyes for a while before looking into them

He rubbed her cheek with her thumb and waited a bit…

” I’ve been in love with you, since year one in Classic High” he said sincerely, his sincerity is almost oozing from his voice

“Adrian…” She said shockingly

“It’s the truth, I just didn’t want to go ahead of myself, that’s why I waited for the right time….I’m sorry if it offended you….I’m just in love” he said

Brittany studied his facial expression for a while before leaning in for another kiss which Adrian reciprocated to Immediately…

“I love you” she gasped into the kiss.

Bryce has been crying since he came back from the hospital and his tears won’t dry up, Rose has been standing by his door since then, trying to persuade him to open the door but her tactics aren’t working

Barbie has been in her room sulking while Brittany left the mansion earlier, Andie is with Chantelle presently

“Bryce please!, Open this door!” She shouted, hitting the door for the uptenth time

He kept crying and she got too worried, she went to the game room and got one of the metal chairs, she came back with it and smashed it on the door, it opened widely and she rushed in, she met him sitting on the ground, backing the wall with tears in his eyes

She walked to him and knelt beside him then hugged him tightly before he could talk

Bryce hugged her back surprisingly

“Velvet” she said in a whisper and she quickly broke it

” Rose, not Velvet…. and do you know I love you so much?” She said, holding his face in front of hers

” Rose” he whispered with a slight hiccup

“I love you so much, and that’s why I hurts to see you crying or hurting, Bryce I’ve been in love with you since we made our first debut last year, I love you a lot” she said

Bryce quickly stood, feeling so itchy right now, without looking at her again, he dashed into the bathroom

Rose remained kneeling, starting her tears immediately

The mansion has been so quiet and not lively

Andie and Brittany has been wondering why,it seems they’re the only ones who looks undisturbed, since Brittany announced her relationship with Adrian yesterday, Barbie has been despondent

Bryce and rose has been in their rooms, refusing to come out even to eat

“Seriously these days, I might just die of boredom… Jeremy is in the hospital with a gunshot wound, I just recovered from my stab wound, Bryce and Rose are downcast, Barbie is moody, I don’t even know what to do ” Andie said

Brittany was about to talk when the doorbell rang, she went for it and saw Bentley and Velvet by the door

“Is Bryce home?’ Velvet asked

” Yes, but he has been in his room” she replied, leading them in

” Please sit” Andie said to Bentley who sat patiently

They got to his doorstep and she knocked but got zero answer

“Bryce it’s Velvet!” She said loudly and almost immediately, he opened the door, his face is so pale

” Go meet your boyfriend” he snapped and tried to shut the door but Velvet placed her leg between it, he tried to shut it but she held it with all her might

“Get lost and just leave!” He yelled hurtfully

” Bryce stop acting this way” Brittany said, holding the door with Velvet

” Hi…. Mr Bryce” Bentley said behind them, appearing with Andie

“Who the hell are you” Bryce said

“Bentley Acosta, Jeremy’s senior brother, a cop from Mexico” he said, showing him his ID

” So?” Bryce said coldly

“Just spare me some minutes of your time, we need to talk about why Velvet gets memory scratch anytime she’s close to you” Bentley said

Bryce wanted to forcefully close the door again but Bentley held it

“Please…I’m begging” he said gently and Bryce stepped in

“Wait for me here” Bentley said to Velvet and entered his room with him, closing the door

“Do you perhaps know any chubby girl in your elementary days?” Bentley asked

It took a while before Bryce answered

” I only know one…. and I hate her back then in Joanna’s elementary school” he replied

“Really?, There was one?, What’s her name if you can still remember?”

” Nella Todd, we do call her ugly chub cos she was so ugly” he replied

” I should delay things before saying this but maybe delaying it will only bring confusion,…. Velvet Campbell is same as the Nella Todd” Bentley said and Bryce scoffed without looking at him

Bentley walked to the big closet, opened it and found the framed picture at the base, more like he threw it there cos the glass cracked already

He took it and easily spotted the only chubby girl in the picture

She opened the door and met Velvet still waiting by the door

“Come in” he said and she did

He gave her the frame and she stared at it

“Does it ring a bell?” He asked

Velvet stared intently at the picture frame

“This is exactly the face of the girl that got kidnapped when I got the memory scratch the other day” she said, pointing at the chubby girl

” Joanna’s elementary school” Bentley said and Velvet gasped as if she remembered something, the framed picture fell from her and broke, her whole body started shaking like she caught the flu

She held her head and almost fell, she closed her eyes and opened it, getting the scratch again but this time it almost killed her, she went on her knees, holding her head with an hand while the other hand is on the ground

“My head…. someone help!!!!” She screamed and Bryce stood quickly, he tried to move closer but Bentley held him

“Don’t go closer, this is the right time to remember who she is” he said, holding Bryce tighter

Velvet kept shouting in pains and Immediately she closed her eyes…the memories started coming in a rush, right from the beginning

Her father… Jose Todd is from from Spain in Paris, he’s a Spanish who came to Korea for business when he set eyes on Kelly….he tried his best as a guy who goes after what he wants…. Kelly fell for him along the line and they got married a year later

Kelly got pregnant in Korea and when Jose tried to persuade her to move to Paris with him, she declined, saying she wants to give birth and raise her child in Korea, Jose never argued, he’ll always come visiting at every chance he got till Kelly gave birth to a chubby baby girl, they named her Venella, Nella for short

When she turned five, she was registered in Bon-Hwa elementary school where she showed how brilliant she is just like her father…..

When she turned seven, Jose threatened to divorce Kelly if she doesn’t move to Paris with him, that prompted Kelly to move

She left for Paris with Nella but on the night they got there, they were murdered in cold blood by unknown assassins, leaving seven years old Nella all by herself

After the sad occurrence, Evans Todd, Jose’s junior brother took her in and took care of her together with her daughter Minnie, and since Evans is the only sibling of Jose, he’s the one who handled Jose’s numerous companies and properties

Nella was registered in same school as Minnie and they always behave like sisters cos they love each other so much…..that went on till an unlucky incident happened after she got humiliated in school….

Velvet got the memories and is already crying when it ended

“Minnie!” She cried loudly, sitting on the ground

Bentley sighed….”it worked”

Bryce went closer to her and held her, bending beside her

She looked at him and shifted back immediately

“Bryce Bertrand” she said, standing up immediately

” Are you ok?” Bryce said

” Joanna’s elementary school, Paris” she said, pointing at him

FLASHBACK, SOME YEARS AGO, JOANNA’S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL****

After Bryce said those hurting words and made Nella fall by bumping into her knowingly, he left without caring what might happen

The students started jeering at Nella, making fun of her, calling her ugly chub and throwing all sort of things at her …

Class dusters, papers, leftovers from the cafeteria, some even poured ink

“Get lost from this school!, Our school prince rejected you so you’re not fit to be here!” They started saying

Nella stood and got pushed, she fell again and stood with bleeding wounded knees then ran out of the block with hot tears on her face without bothering about her books, she ran out of the school

She’s crying as she walked beside the road with bleeding knees and hurting wrist, not aware of where she’s going, she’s just walking with the mess allover her uniform

Then a red car stopped beside her abruptly and the door opened swiftly, she was tossed into the car and it drove to a silent part of the city

She was sedated while in the car but she woke up when they got to their destination

They took her out of the car and she kept screaming

“Let me go!!!!”

“Let me go please!!!”

“Let me go!!!!”

She was taken into an house that looks hideous…
