Velvet rushed back to the living room just when Chantelle is just stepping in

Shocked to see her all wet, Chantelle’s eyes widened

“Velvet what the….

Then Bryce came out, wet too

“You both…..swam?” She said and Velvet rushed out of the house that way

Bryce ran after her, leaving Chantelle to wonder what’s happening

On getting out, Velvet met Adrian’s car outside, he came out of the car with Jeremy who stopped when he saw her

They actually came to welcome Andie back home, Jeremy was thinking Velvet will be at home already, maybe she doesn’t want to ride with them but here she is, wet completely

“Velvet” Adrian said surprisingly

Bryce came out wet too and Jeremy stared from him to Velvet, no matter how he tries, he couldn’t process what’s happening in his head, literally driving him nuts

Velvet made to rush to them but Bryce held her, she looked back swiftly at him, crying slowly

“Let me go!” She cried and took her hand from him

” I’m sorry” Bryce said but seems she’s not ready to listen , she rushed down, walking past Adrian to Jeremy, she stood in front of him and Jeremy stared at her

Her lips is swollen and red, Jeremy understood immediately

He made to go meet Bryce but Velvet hugged him, making him stop

“Please take me home, I don’t want to stay here, I don’t want to…. please” she cried

” Get her into the car” Adrian said and Jeremy quickly carried her in his arms, placing her in the car

“I’ll drive her home, you can come back for your car after you leave this place” Jeremy said and Adrian nodded

Jeremy got in the car and drove off with her

She started shivering as a result of her wetness and till they got home, it didn’t stop

Luckily Steve isn’t at home yet, she’s so weak so he had to carry her in his arms into the house

He rushed to her room and placed her on the bed

“You need to change your wet clothes, the flu will continue getting worse if you don’t” he said and made to leave so she’ll have privacy…

“Baby” she called and he turned back

“Yes?” He replied, going back to her

“Can you help me?, I’m too weak to do that right now….. please” she said

” I can’t possibly do that” he said

” I’m……weak” she whispered and closed her eyes, going down on the bed, she passed out

“Velvet!, Velvet!” He called but she remained unconscious

He decided to make a call to Chantelle maybe she’ll come change her clothes but it’ll take long before she comes

“She might die of cold* he said and closed his eyes, he started unbuttoning her shirt buttons slowly

When he’s done, he tilted her up and removed it from her body, he proceeded to taking off her singlet, leaving her in only her br*, he took off her skirt and covered her with the thick duvet like that before opening his eyes

He breathed hard and sat beside her, he rubbed her hands and gritted his teeth when he remembered how her lips swelled the other time

“Bryce” he said slowly, closing his eyes

He let it remained closed for awhile before opening it, he kissed Velvet’s hair before leaving the room

BMM mansion**

The others are just arriving and since Velvet left with Jeremy, Bryce hasn’t come out of his room

“I’ll return to my part time job by 2, it’s some minutes to 2 already” Chantelle said, checking the time

” That’s unfair, you should skip going today” Andie said

” After skipping for last week throughout the trip, then you expect me to start skipping this week too, bravo!, I planned to be hardworking and I’m starting now” Chantelle said and Andie smiled

” Where’s Bryce?” Rose asked worriedly

” He’s in his room, something confusing happened earlier, how can Bryce and Velvet be wet at the same time when they didn’t swim” Chantelle said

” Really?, So that’s why Velvet left, what really happened?” Andie asked

” I seriously have no idea” Chantelle replied

Rose understood and went upstairs immediately, she opened the door to his room and met him sitting on the ground, staring into space

“Bryce” she said and he looked at her shortly

She went to him and knelt beside him

“You kissed or hug her again?” She said hurtfully

“It was a kiss, and I think I did wrong again, I kissed her forcefully the last time in Caledonia, this time she kissed me back, but I guess it’s because she was imagining me to be Jeremy cos she called his name but I just couldn’t stop myself even after hearing her call his name, I think she’s gonna hate me, I won’t be able to handle it if she does” he replied slowly

Rose sat on the ground beside him and sighed

” I understand you, feelings can’t be easily tamed I swear, I know what you feel but….she doesn’t love you I guess” she said

” Ion think she does, maybe she loves Jeremy but Rose I want her…I love her” he finally spoke up and Rose almost started crying

She smiled and stood, went downstairs to get ice cream from the freezer and came back to him

She sat in front of him, opened the ice cream and scooped into the small spoon then offered him

“I don’t want to” he said

“Just take it, you’ll relax after finishing it I promise you” she said

“Rose….

“Just take it… please” she said and he reluctantly opened his mouth, she fed him…

Back downstairs***

“And where’s Barbie?” Adrian asked when he noticed she’s not around too

” She’s in her room too, she said she’s tired” Brittany replied

” Show me to her room, please” he said and Brittany led him in

“My chance” Andie said and quickly stole a quick kiss from Chantelle who spranged up immediately with an obvious blush on her cheeks

“I need to go now.. see you in school tomorrow!” She said and rushed out

” She’s just too adorable* Andie smiled, touching his lips

Brittany took Adrian to Barbie’s room and they met her moody with her violin in hand, she’s about to start playing

“Hey” Adrian smiled

“Adrian” she replied, standing up and immediately he got to him, she dropped her violin and hugged him

“Are you… Ok?” He asked awkwardly

“Sure” she replied

“I just came to check on you” he said and made to leave but she hugged him again

Adrian slowly hugged her back and she smiled

“Let’s stay like this for a while” she said

Brittany left the room

Jeremy’s place**

“She’s sleeping in her room?, That’s weird, is she ok?, Are you sure? ” Grandpa Steve asked during dinner when Velvet isn’t present

” She’s fine but she did a lot in school today, she’s so tired, so is me….I’m just managing right now” Jeremy replied

” I hate your teachers for making it hard for you guys” Steve said and Jeremy smiled

” Your birthday is fast approaching” Jeremy winked

” I can’t wait for Friday” he replied, yawning loudly

“You need to go sleep ” Jeremy said

“You’re right, make sure Velvet eats when she wakes up, if she doesn’t, I’ll really get mad at you” he said and Jeremy nodded

” She will” he said and Steve went in

Two minutes after, Velvet came down, wearing thick sweaters and trousers

“You’re awake” Jeremy said, rushing to her, he checked her temperature and when he felt it’s fine, he sighed

“I’m glad…you need to eat” she said and took her hand to pull her to the dinning room but she hesitated and he looked back

“Please” he said

She held his hand instead and moved closer

“About the other time….I mean… Bryce and I….

” Don’t talk about it, I know what happened” Jeremy interrupted

“You know….?” She said

” A kiss in the pool?” He replied

” No, under the shower…I went there cos he said he has something to show me but my memory got scratched again and I had to go under the shower, he kissed me there and I kissed him back, thinking it’s you” she explained

” It’s ok” Jeremy sighed, drawing her to the dinning room

He made her sit and started dishing her food

He sat in front of her and made to start feeding her

“You aren’t mad at me right?” She said

“Why would I be?” He replied and can see a thin smile appear on her lips

He started feeding her and she slowly took every spoon

“After this meal…I hope I’ll be able to gather the courage to apologise to you and also tell you I’m f*cking in love with you” Jeremy thought

” After I finish eating, will you follow me to the store?, I want ice cream” she asked

” Sure” he replied and she smiled again

” Maybe I’ll do my confession at the store or after we come back” Jeremy thought.

BMM mansion, night**

Everyone is seated in the living room, cracking jokes and laughing when Bryce came rushing downstairs

“Leader why the rush” Barbie asked

“We’ve been nominated for idols award that’s coming up next month….” He announced

” Oh my goodness!!” Rose screamed, jumping up with the others

“I can’t believe this…. Shoot!” Andie said

“BMM we rock! ” Brittany screamed

” Whoa!, Today is my happiest day in this year” Barbie smiled

” We should celebrate this” Rose said, going to the cellar to bring wine which she poured for everyone

“To more achievements” Bryce said

“Cheers!” They replied, drinking after that

” I’m just so happy” Brittany said

They started playing around like kids when the excitement is too much, in minutes, they scattered the whole living room

“It’s been long since i played like this” Bryce said..

” Since your elementary school days?” Andie asked

“No, I never play around back then, I was a bore and a loner” he replied

” A loner who humiliated a chubby girl….wait, why did you humiliate her that way?, I’ve always been thinking since you told me the story” Andie replied

” Why else?, Ion like chubby girls cos they make me wanna puke, they aren’t close to beautiful” he replied and Andie scoffed

” I hope you get married to a chubby girl you arrogant guy” Andie said

” Hell no, I won’t ever take that… So you like chubby girls? ” Bryce said

“I find them cute, I don’t body shame like you” Andie replied

” Whatever” Bryce replied and left the room

He went out and picked his phone, he dialled Velvet’s line repeatedly but she won’t pick

Ice cream store**

“It’s Bryce” Velvet said, staring at her phone screen

” Do what you want” Jeremy replied simply and she switched off her phone

She choose four bowls of ice cream and it was packed for her

She took it and left to wait outside for him

Jeremy payed though it took a while cos there are many customers in the store

“I didn’t get the chance to speak again” he thought as he walked out of the shop

He stood by the door and searched for Velvet with his eyes, she found her on a spot and when he made to walk to her, he saw something swiftly

He retraced the place and his eyes widened in shock

On the other side of the road is a black car and from the black car, a hand is pointing out through the slightly opened tinted window, the hand is holding a gun pointed directly at Velvet

He almost fell as he ran to her crazily, he hugged her tightly…

“I love you angel” he whispered fast into her ear before the gunshot sounded

Everyone ran to safety immediately and Velvet stood frozen as Jeremy went limp on her shoulder

His blood gushed out of of his back and stained her hands

She moved to check what’s on her hands and Jeremy fell from her, straight to the ground

His blood flowed and rushed out, wetting the ground immediately

Velvet’s lungs almost got suffocated and her breaths almost seized

She fell on her knees beside him, throwing away the ice cream nylon

“Baby let’s go home….. Jeremy…. Jeremy!!!!!” She screamed loudly , hot tears accompanying her screams ….
