ENTRAPPED WITH YOU - EPISODE 41 AND 42

Chantelle ran into the room and sat in front of the dressing table, dipping her face in her palms

“Regrets do come this fast?, I’m already regretting punching him” she thought, sighing loudly

” But then….I did the right thing, why would he kiss me when I’m not even his girlfriend.. damn!” she sighed and stood, walking to the bed

” But I shouldn’t have punched him…. I can’t blame myself either, I acted on impulse” she thought as she climbed the bed beside Velvet.

Next morning**

Adrian woke up and saw his roommates aren’t in anymore, he entered the bathroom straight to brush and bath

He came back to dress up before leaving the room, forgetting he has a dare to do too

Immediately he came out, Barbie came out at the same time too and that was when he remembered the dare

“I dare you to kiss the first person you’ll see outside your room tommorow morning”

His eyes widened and Barbie stopped too, getting why he’s like that but strangely she felt glad

“Do it” Jeremy said behind Adrian

“Everyone needs to see this!, Adrian saw Barbie first!” Bryce shouted

The remaining girls rushed out of their rooms

“What!” Brittany said surprisingly as Adrian moved towards Barbie

“Kiss!” Velvet said

“Yeah…deep one!” Jeremy replied with a wink

Chantelle wanted to talk but when her eyes met with Andie’s, she couldn’t

“I can’t wait…. Kiss her lips pervert” Rose said

” And there he is” Bryce said when Adrian finally got to Barbie, he held her face and made his lips slam on her own, deeply

Brittany watched the scene with mixed feelings and later closed her eyes

Barbie closed her eyes and melted into the kiss but Adrian broke it instantly before stepping away from her

He looked at Brittany and saw her entering the room already

“That was my first kiss” Barbie said

“Mine too” Adrian replied slowly

“Really?, How cool” Barbie smiled

Adrian walked away from her and went to the dinning, walking past the guys

“What a shock!” Jeremy laughed as they all went to the dinning too

Velvet’s knees improved so she can walk, though not without limping

“Did you sleep well?” Bryce asked beside her just as she’s about to sit

” Yes, thanks for carrying me last night” she replied and Bryce touched her hair fondly

” My pleasure” he said and pouted

“I won’t get caught” she laughed and he smiled before sitting

Jeremy is sitting across them and Adrian was silent althrough, Brittany came out from the room last

“Hey, that took you so long” Barbie said when she settled beside her

“Nothing, missed me?” She replied

“A lot” Barbie said and Brittany laughed

“So Adrian, you’re not leaving this lodge today” Jeremy said

” Whatever” he replied wryly

” Wait…. Andie, is something wrong?, Why aren’t you talking?” Bryce asked

” It’s nothing” he muttered

Chantelle took a small bite from her bread

“Sure?” Jeremy asked

*Yes” Andie replied

” So Rose what are you doing here?, You aren’t supposed to eat” Barbie smiled and Rose stood

” I forgot, but is this really necessary?” She said

” Yes!’ Jeremy and Velvet chorused

“Fine” she replied and left the room for the living room

“Chantelle are you ok?, You’ve been quiet” Brittany asked

” I’m ok trust me, just swing of moods” she replied

” That’s bad” Velvet said

” I’ll be fine” Chantelle smiled

” You can’t go for the forest hunt” Jeremy whispered to Velvet

” I will go, you can’t stop me” she replied

” Your knees…” He said

” If you’re worried about that, you can carry me on your back throughout” she winked

Jeremy’s heart skipped beats at that and the jam fell from him, Rose picked it for him

“Be careful” she said with a knowing smile

“Thanks” he replied and looked back at Velvet who’s now eating largely

“Foodie” he smiled

“Easy, you might choke” Bryce said beside her

” I’ve always eaten this way, it’s not new so choking is a no” she munched and as if nature is against her, she choked and started coughing

“I told you” Bryce said and offered her water which he placed on her lips

She gulped down the water and Bryce held the cup till she was done

“Thanks a lot, I wouldn’t have choked if I hadn’t talked” she said and resumed eating

Rose can feel herself getting uncomfortable as she stared at Bryce, giving Velvet attention

Then she noticed Jeremy too,he folded his fist under the table as he watched

She inhaled hard and took a rough bite from her bread

“Hey why?” Brittany asked

“Nothing” she replied with a fake smile

“I won’t be going on the forest hunt babies” Brittany said

“What?, Why?” Barbie and Velvet asked

” I just don’t feel like going” she replied

“Are you sure you aren’t sick?” Rose asked

“My temperature is normal, I’m ok guys, have fun” she smiled and left for her room though she’s feeling slightly sick, a throbbing headache is disturbing her, she lay on the bed and couldn’t even sleep

“So … Adrian and Brittany will be at home, Adrian, have fun watching TV!” Jeremy said in mockery as he left the house with the others

They got to the front of Mr Lauren’s lodge and he’s already waiting with the others

Agatha smiled evilly

“Are you really gonna do that?” Peyton asked

“You think I was joking?” She replied, staring daggers at Velvet

” The forest is totally harmless so you can go anywhere you wish, there are various fruits in there, talk about Apples…. Oranges, guavas, wall nuts and lemon,…you guys will be hunting in groups of twos and there’s an amount of a particular fruit each group will bring” Mr Lauren said

” Yes Mr Lauren” they chorused

Velvet and Bryce are the first to be grouped together…to bring fifty apples

Rose was paired with Jeremy…to bring fifty oranges

Agatha and Peyton… fifty lemon fruits

Andie and Chantelle…fifty peaches

Barbie and Quan….. fifty grapes

Within fifteen minutes

“I feel uneasy” Jeremy said as each group took their hunting bags and were led to the forest

It can be called a fruit garden too cos it only contains fruits trees

“The time is 10:20, by 10:35, everyone must be out even if your fruits isn’t complete yet” Mr Lauren said

Each entered with his or her partner and Velvet limped behind Bryce

“Be careful… please” Jeremy said to her

“Sure, you too baby” she replied and he nodded before leaving with Rose

“Climb on, limping is not so cool” Bryce said, bending in front of her

” Are you crazy?, Not like there’s a bathroom here where you can bath when your body reacts to get up, I ain’t climbing on” she replied and he stood

” But your legs must hurt a lot” he said

“Jeremy redressed it and applied antibiotic cream this morning, it’s better than yesterday so quit worrying” she replied

” I’ll believe that” he blinked, walking beside her into the forest

“I’ve not sighted an apple tree, we’ve spent two minutes already” she said , looking around

” Me too, let’s change direction” he replied, facing the left

She followed him and soon she saw an apple tree

“An apple tree!” She shouted, pointing at it

“The apples on it are scanty, will they even be up to 20?” Bryce said, climbing it already

” Be careful” Velvet said, checking the time

Ten minutes left

“You feel something for Velvet?” Rose suddenly asked after Jeremy jumped down the orange tree, he got twenty five oranges from there

“Why?” He asked, his heart racing at the mention of Velvet

“I see the way you stare at her and feel uncomfortable anytime she’s around Bryce or anytime Bryce gives her attention” she replied.

” What about you?, Are you in love with Bryce?” He asked

“You know the answer already” she replied as they moved away from the tree

” There’s another tree” Rose pointed and Jeremy smiled

“We should be able to get twenty five more oranges from it, we’ll win” he said, climbing the tree already

” So…are you in love with Velvet?” She asked again

He looked down at her before concentrating again

“I’m not sure” he said

“Still not over Agatha?”She asked

“Let’s not talk about it anymore” he replied and Rose smiled.

Seven minutes left**

Chantelle and Andie hasn’t spoken a word to each other since they started the hunt

Not because of the dare, no one is here to see them talk anyways but Andie is in need of a way to start a conversation which he found hard

They got thirty peaches in their bag already, just twenty more and they’ll be free

Chantelle kept following him behind and at a time, he looked back at her but wasn’t able to say anything

He continued walking till they got to another tree

Andie climbed and plucked the ten peaches on the tree, Chantelle picked it and now they’re left with ten to find

Andie jumped down and landed in front of her

She took the bag and made to go but he held her

“I’m sorry” he said, eye to eye but she quickly looked away

*Let go of my hand” she said seriously

” I’m sorry, I swear I wasn’t in my right senses then, all I was thinking of was… just having you already…. I’m really sorry, it won’t happen anymore… That’s if you don’t agree to date me anyways” he said

” Let’s get going” she said, pretending she didn’t hear

“I said I’m sorry” he said and she forcefully took her hand from him

She hurried away without saying a thing

“Why is she trying to drive me crazy with her silence…..damn!” He said, hitting his fist on the tree.

Five minutes left**

Barbie almost fell when Quan shoot the grape tree, almost all the grapes on the tree fell on her and she had to cover her head with her hands

“Quan!!’ she screamed and Quan won’t stop laughing on the tree

“Pick the fruits baby, we have just limited time” said, eating grapes on the tree

” Ape” Barbie said, squinting at him

“Whatever” he replied and bent to start picking the grapes

But throughout the picking, the kiss scene earlier was all she could think about

At a time, she covered her face with her palms and remained bending without picking, she just kept reminiscing about it till Quan jumped down beside her and that made her sprang up

*Ape!, You scared me!” She said

” What were you thinking about” he replied, smiling naughtily

“None of your business” she rolled eyes and bent again to continue picking.

“We have only thirty grapes” she said

“What!” Quan exclaimed.

Back in the lodge**

Adrian kept this gaze fixed on the TV, a series is going on but he’s only looking at it, his mind isn’t there

The loud crash of the fallen car in the series jerked him back to life and he stood

“Gosh!, What was I thinking about” he said, walking around the living room

He decided to go check on Brittany In her room since he’s so worried

He knocked but got no answer so he went in, only to find her on the bed, sweating and at the same time shivering with cold

“Brittany!” He said, rushing in

He bent beside the bed and felt her temperature, it’s freaking high

“I’m….so cold…very cold….then headache….. headache too” she said weakly, breathing loudly

Adrian rushed out of the room to get a bowl of water and a white short towel

He wiped her face gently with the cold wet towel and that helped reduce the burning temperature a bit

He checked the medicine box and found headache pills which he gave to her, she took it and swallowed it with water before laying back on the bed

“You’ll be fine ok?” He said and she looked at him with drowsy eyes

” Thanks” she breathed with a faint smile

He wanted to hold her hand and rub it in his palms but he stopped himself and smiled instead

“Rest, don’t think of anything” he said and her eyes slowly closed

Back in the forest**

Three minutes left**

“We’ve been secretly following Bryce and Velvet for the past twelve minutes, aren’t we part of this game?, We need to pick lemons” Peyton said

” Shut up, I came because of this, not because of the game, I’m just waiting for when Bryce will leave her, she’s vulnerable now cos of her wounded knees do I’ll easily have my way” Agatha said

” Is this really necessary?” Peyton said

” Shut up!” Agatha said amidst gritted teeth

Bryce came down from the third apple tree and smiled

Their apple is complete

“We’re good to go, but I need to pee” she said

“Go to that side, I’ll wait but don’t take long” Bryce replied

” If you leave you’re dead” she said

” I’ll never do that” he replied as she went to the other side, hid beside a guava tree and unbuttoned her trousers

She’s about to zip down when something blocked her nose from behind, she passed out and Agatha jointly carried her with Peyton to the shrubby area of the forest where they put her down, she was actually attacked with a sedated hanky

“You think this really makes sense?, They’ll find her here, this forest is not deep so it’s sure they’ll find her easily” Peyton said

” The trouble they’ll go through while searching for her is what I want to see, and seeing her like this, the great Velvet Campbell is lying unconscious in front of me, I should get an award” she said

” The sedative…” Peyton said

” It’s somehow poisonous, I’m sure she’ll get sick even after waking up, isn’t that great?” Agatha said

” Where did you get it from?” Peyton asked

“I bought weapons when I was coming for this trip,I didn’t come unprepared” Agatha smiled and pulled Peyton away from the scene

” Why is she not back yet?, It’s taking too long” Bryce thought, removing his earpiece from his ears cos he has been listening to music since she left

He walked to the direction she took earlier and couldn’t find her

“The fact that she told me not to leave earlier… does that mean she played a trick on me?, Did she leave already?, Gosh!, That gangster” he said and rushed back to carry the apple bag

He rushed all the way back to the starting point and met everyone waiting already

He’s one minute late

“F*ck, we lost, Velvet” He muttered

“We got the first place” Rose said

” Where’s Velvet?” Jeremy asked

” She’s not here yet?” Bryce asked

” Did you see her here?” Jeremy replied suspiciously

“I thought she left before me” Bryce said

“But she’s not here!” Jeremy snapped

” Calm down everyone, this is part of the reason for choosing light forest for this game, the forest is like an orchard so it’s easy to search, we just have to search” Mr Lauren said, leading the way back into the forest

They split to search and Agatha smiled satisfactorily

“I’m loving this I swear, being the cause of their problems and still pretending to care, isn’t it fun?” She said

” I dunno” Peyton replied

It became serious after almost two hours search round the forest, she wasn’t found

“Where could she go!” Jeremy said loudly

“Calm down, she couldn’t possibly vanish, Barbie said

“I can’t calm down Barbie!, I can’t!, Weren’t you there in the morning when I was telling her not to come along?, She’s just so stubborn and…gosh!, Bryce I won’t take it lightly with you if anything happens to her, you were supposed to watch over her” he replied

” It wasn’t my fault, she said she needed to pee and she left for the other side of the forest so tell me how it’s my fault that she went lost!” Bryce said

” You’re frustrating I swear” Jeremy muttered

” Do you want me to cry before you know this is serious?, She must be found!” Jeremy shouted, tears threatening to fall from his already glassy eyes

” You’re really gonna cry?” Rose said

Mr Lauren contacted the cops already

Jeremy dashed back into the forest while the others waited out for the cops

Velvet squeezed up her face when she finally woke up but when she felt uncomfortable with where she’s lying, she quickly opened her eyes

She sat up and looked around

“Why was I lying on the ground?, Where’s the rest?, What am I doing here?” She asked herself, standing up

She held her head when she remembered something blocked her nose from behind earlier

“Who was that?” She wondered, still holding her head

“Velvet!” She heard Jeremy’s voice calling

She’s in the middle of a shrubby area and it’s hard to know if she’s there so she had to separate the shrubs with her hands before she could step out

“Jeremy!” She called and can hear steps coming towards her

She stopped and soon, Jeremy appeared

“Velvet!” he said and rushed to her, he hugged her tightly and she reciprocated, letting her nose inhale much of his body scent in the process

“Where were you?, I was so worried and I almost cried” he said, breaking it after a while

” Someone made me pass out, I found myself in the middle of that shrubby area” she replied

He removed the dry leaves from her hair and rubbed her face gently, checking her out

“I’m ok” she smiled

He held her face still and gave her gentle looks for a while…. right now her lips is all he could see and his chest can feel his loud heartbeats

Velvet wished he’d just claim her lips instantly, maybe she wants to kiss it for real, and for the fact that it looks tempting right now,,

Jeremy bent to her level in the next minute and at the same time, she stood on her toes, their lips met in the middle and their eyes went shut

They kissed deeply right there, Velvet’s arms crawled to his neck and she hanged it there,,

Jeremy’s hands slipped on her back and he pulled her closer.

A gasp escaped her lips in the process as Jeremy nibbled softly on her lower lip…
