“Kissed you?” Jeremy said confusedly

“Yes” she replied, still touching her lips

“What are you talking about?” He replied

“Oh…. I mean…” She said, coming back to her senses

“Mean what?” Jeremy asked, moving closer

“I mean…. Nothing” she said embarrassedly when Jeremy finally got to her

He gave her a light peck on the cheek before sitting again

“Get it straight and focus” he said

She covered her cheek to hide her blush as he brought out healing patch

He took her wrist and patched it

“You’re not gonna patch my knees?” She said

” No, it’ll hurt if I want to remove it” he replied and stood

” I can’t walk” she said..

” I know” he replied and carried her out of the room to the dinning where everyone is sitting already

She dropped her on the seat next to Bryce and sat beside her

Bryce looked at her knees and wrist and looks worried

“It must hurt a lot” he said

“I’m strong , I can manage” she replied

” Are you sure or do you need to go to the hospital?” Brittany asked

“No, I hate hospitals” she replied quickly and that usual headache came immediately she said it, she held her head slightly and closed her eyes

“Velvet are you ok?” Bryce asked, quickly holding her arm

“Velvet saw the face of a pretty girl, she looks like a year younger or maybe same age as her

“Velvet” Jeremy said, holding her too

She opened her eyes and looked up

“I saw the face of a girl like me, I dunno who she is, just like I dunno who the little boy from last time is” she said

Bryce and Jeremy are still holding the both but they quickly let go when she looked at it

The table was cleared and they all sat back with an empty bottle of juice on the table

“Spin spin the bottle” Adrian said and Bryce spun the bottle first, it pointed at Adrian

“T or D?” Bryce asked

“I love dares so dare” Adrian replied

“I dare you to kiss the first person you’ll see outside your room tommorow morning, even if it’s a guy” Bryce said

” That seems simple” Adrian smiled and spun the bottle, it pointed at Rose

“Dare” she replied

“I dare you to starve throughout tommorow,you must not take even a drop of water” Adrian said

” You’re a jerk seriously” Rose said, spinning the bottle and it pointed at Velvet

” Truth or Dare?”

“Dare” she replied.

“I dare you to kiss Jeremy” Rose said and everyone gasped

Jeremy shifted uncomfortably on his seat as Velvet stood

Bryce folded his fist, containing his tension as she walked to Jeremy

Velvet stood beside Jeremy and held his face gently, Jeremy looked up at her and never blinked as she bent to his sitting level and placed her lips on his, she immediately removed it without making any move

Adrian spun and it pointed at Brittany

The fact that her mood changed immediately is a verification that she’s hiding something

“It’s called cheating” Chantelle said

” Quick” Barbie said and Brittany giggled

“I’m done with this game, and Chantelle I hate you” he said and rushed to his room

” Chantelle I hate you too … And I think I’m done with this too” Jeremy said and rushed into his room too

Everyone laughed loudly especially Adrian, he almost fell from his chair

“This is so so hilarious” He laughed, resting his head on the table

“I swear it my Chantelle is a badass, gosh!, That’s part of why I kept falling helplessly, I just love you seriously” Andie said

Chantelle scoffed and stood

” I’m done listening to shit… goodnight” she said and left for her room

” Goodnight babe” Brittany and Barbie waved, going in after her

“I’m off too” Adrian said, going in

“I really do love your friend…I swear it” Andie said seriously

” I know, you wouldn’t joke” Velvet said

“But she’s just too too hard to get closer to, she’s not giving me the chance, I wish I can just date her already…” Andie said sadly

Just then, the door to the guys room opened, Jeremy came out and stopped when he saw them

“Goodnight baby” Velvet waved

He dropped her on the bed and sighed, Chantelle is asleep already

“Thanks” she said, looking up at him

He suddenly bent over to her and she drew back, covering her lips, avoiding his eyes

He smiled and kissed her hair for long before standing straight

She breathed hard before laying on the bed

When she thought about the lips peck earlier, she covered her eyes, making cute sounds while throwing her legs in the air happily

“I can’t sleep, what’s wrong with me, Chantelle is all I have in my head right now” Andie said, moving from his side to Jeremy’s side, placing his leg on him

Bryce sat on his bed after taking a cold shower, his legs down though, his palms facing his bed but his eyes are closed

His nose is still full of the scent he Inhaled from her hair while pecking it earlier, it’s just so nice and won’t leave his nose

He kept sniffing and smiling with his eyes closed, thinking about the psycho till he stood and went to his closet when he felt a bit cold

He searched for sweater and in the process, he saw a picture frame

“I brought this?” He said, taking it

He put on the sweater and took the frame

He sat back on the bed and stared at the frame.

It’s the picture he snapped with all his classmates when he was graduating from elementary school

He used to be a quiet boy then so it was his mum who forced him to snap with his mates, he wasn’t smiling in the picture

He looked at the faces of all his mates to see the one he could still remember and when he saw a girl, he laughed

She’s chubby and fat, back then all his mates address her as ugly chub cos of her fatness and she’ll always cry if anyone calls her that

“What was her name again… It starts with N…..I should still remember… Nella!, Yes Nella, Nella Todd” he said and looked back at the picture

” I wonder if she’d have gotten fatter now” he said and laughed again

Andie entered the room and he looked up

“Why are you laughing by yourself?, You crazy?” He said and Bryce laughed again

Andie took the frame from him

“Whoa!, Elementary school days?” He said

“Sure” Bryce replied

“So there was a fat girl in your class back then” Andie said, pointing at the fat girl

” Her name is Nella, the only fat girl then, we do call her ugly chub cos of her fatness and anytime we call her that, she cries” Bryce said and started laughing again

” That’s bad” Andie said

” She once wrote me a love letter” Bryce said

” Really? ”

” Yes”

” So … What was your reply? ” Andie asked

” It wasn’t pleasant, I replied her in the most humiliating way ever, I can still remember that day in our class hallway” Bryce said and his mind drifted back…

FLASHBACK…. SOME YEARS AGO… JOANNA’S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Nella stood in the middle of the hallway, waiting for when Bryce will come by so she’ll deliver what she has

She kept her face down and the passing students kept calling her ugly chub as usual but she tried hard not to cry, she always cries in school cos the students will always call her that and it’s saddening

Not like it’s her fault that she’s fat, and maybe ugly….but her cousin always tells her that she’s beautiful even with her fatness

Not like the heart can be controlled anyways….she has a crush on Bryce, the most handsome and the most brilliant boy in class , also the most quiet, he never mingles and he has never joined the group of kids who call her ugly chub

Nella is the most brilliant girl so that gave her the confidence to write him a confession letter

She quickly raised her head when she saw him coming and immediately he got to her, she blocked his way and pointed the letter at him

He gave her questioning looks before she could talk

“It’s a letter, I made a confession in it, you can reply anytime you want” she said, shifting her gaze to the ground

” A love confession letter?, Are you serious right now?” He replied arrogantly

” Huh?” Nella said, looking up at him

He took the letter from her and tore it to shreds, throwing the pieces on her face

“You’re not even close to beautiful and you dare write me a confession letter?, You’re so fat and chubby,ugly and unattractive like a clown, yet you have the time to write me a letter, are you dumb?, Use that time to work on your ugly self” he said and tears escaped Nella’s eyes

” Tears?, Look I don’t care, just get off my face…ugly chub” he said and pushed her out of the way

She fell and hurt her wrist,more tears fell from her eyes

“Fool, big fool!” He said and left for class

The students swooned around her and jeered at her, made fun of her as she sat on the ground, crying hurtfully

All her life, she has never been humiliated…

She watched the numerous taunters and more tears fell down her fat cheeks

END OF FLASHBACK**

“That was harsh” Andie said

“Harsh?, You must be joking, I just told her a piece of my mind” Bryce replied

” You should have done that in a nice way, that might result to trauma you know” Andie said

” I dunno, she never came back to school after that day, rumours had it that she took transfer to another school cos of the humiliation” Bryce said

” You’ve always been a d*ckhead seriously” Andie said

“I should sleep right now” he said and lay on the bed

Andie yawned loudly

” I’m feeling sleepy too, thanks for telling me that story” Andie said and left the room but on stepping out, he saw Chantelle in the living room, she’s in front of the freezer, about to open it

He walked there and stood behind her without her knowledge

She opened the freezer and took a bottle of water, she closed it and turned to leave but saw Andie behind her

“You scared me!” She said, holding her chest

Andie smiled and waved

“What?” She said sternly

“Why are you always like this?” He said seriously

“Like what?” She replied, moving back till her back is on the freezer, he stepped closer, standing in front of her

“I was dared not to talk to you tomorrow so I guess I have to say it all tonight” he said

She kept quiet, listening to him

“I like you. …” He said seriously,his eyes turning emotional

” Huh?” She said

” I love you Chantelle, it happened fast and I can’t just get my head around it anymore , not when I see you everyday…. I’m in love with you,it sounds weird and sudden but I don’t understand why it came that way either but…” He said and stopped to stare

He suddenly rested his hands on the freezer, caging her in

“Andie” he whispered, her lips looking so tempting

Her eyes doesn’t show shock nor surprise and that’s rather surprising

“You aren’t shocked” he said

“I should go now…..” She said awkwardly and tried to escape but he held her shoulders to the freezer and before he knew it, he’s already kissing her

Chantelle’s eyes won’t stop widening as his lips kissed hers gently, the bottled water fell from her

His eyes are closed but hers refused to do that till she regained her senses and pushed him away

Breathing heavily, she landed a punch on his face though it left no bruise

“Punk” she said and ran into her room

Andie dipped his hand into his hair ….
