?Katherine’s POV?

Jeffrey was alre-ady waiting outside his home. Charles previous home wasn’t far from Jeffrey’s. A hvge smile formed on his face as he waved at me. And I was super excited to see him!

“Good Morning Jeffrey!” I said

Jeffrey pu-ll-ed me in for an embr@ce.

“Good Morning” He said

“You look..good” he complimented.

I felt heat rising on my cheekbones. I was dressed in a simple slacks and pink t©p.

“Better” he replied

Jeffrey unlocked the gate and we stepped in. I couldn’t help but glance around, I took in the beauty of Jeffrey’s home. It was an enormous building.

“Nice home” I said when we walked into the luxurious sitting room.

“Take your seat” he said.

I settled down on a soft couch. Jeffrey’s home was beautiful! EHS students didn’t do a proper background cheek on Jeffrey before concluding that he was attending school on welfare.

A soft voice snapped me out of thought. I looked up. She was young and beautiful. Jeffrey did a quic-k introduction.

“Kate meet my stepmom”

“Good Morning Ma” I greeted

“Its nice to meet you Katherine” She said

“Same here Ma”

“plea-se Sit down” She said

Jeffrey settled down beside me while his stepmom exited the room but soon c@m£ back with a tray filled with two gl@sses of orange jui-ce.

“So..I’ll leave you alone to do your @ssignment” she said before leaving again

“She has an appointment with the doctor” Jeff said

“Aren’t you supposed to go with her?”

He nodded

“I couldn’t say no to you” he win-ked

“Our driver will go with her” he added

“O..Okay” I flashed him a half smile

That means I’ll be alone with Jeffrey! Kate maintain your train of thoughts! I said to myself blocking every improper image that was forming in my mind’s eye.

“Let’s get to work” I said bringing out my books from my backpack. Jeffrey’s notes was alre-ady on the table.

“Should we write the notes first or work the mathematics questions?” I asked

“Notes first because I don’t know much about mathematics. I can’t even solve these questions!”

He tapped on my note.

Well, that’s why I’m here to help!

“We’ll try our best” I replied

I looked up when I heard footsteps approaching. Mrs Adams was there -looking gorgeous, all dressed up to leave.

“I’m leaving Jeffrey” she said

“Okay..”

“plea-se Katherine feel comfortable” she said

“Thank you Ma” I replied with a nod. Jeffrey followed her.

I dropped a fluffy pillow on the floor and sat close to the table. Jeffrey c@m£ back.

“Ahmm..Do you want some chocolate?” He asked

“I have some in my bag too” I reached for my bag on the couch and brou-ght out a small box of chocolate and 4 Pinpop Sweets.

Jeffrey face lightened and he sat down quic-kly.

“Life of a chocoholic” I said to kate.

She was really in my home! And we’re alone! My stepmom has an appointment with the doctor.

Minutes cli-cked by and we were done with writing my notes. I stared at Katherine as she explained an algebr@ic expression to me.

“Do you un-derstand?” She asked

“Huh?” I stunned out of thought

“Y.. You are not listening..” She hit my head with a pencil.

“Au..Aush!” I rubbe-d my forehead

She flashed me a concerned look

“Sorry..” She apologized in a low tone

I studied Katherine’s expression.

How can I listen when she’s the one teaching me!

It was h@rd to concentrate!

“Don’t worry we’re almost down with the questions” she said

I nodded

“Jeffrey..can you st©p staring..at me like that..It makes me…nervous” Kate said after a minute.

I stunned out of reverie again!

Oh! She caught me!

“Oh..Sorry..Kate” I apologized

“I can’t seem to take my eyes off you” I said loudly

Then I realized I didn’t mean to say it out! I was supposed to say that to myself!

I took a quic-k glance at Katherine. She was all red. I could see the flush on her cheeks.

“Ahmm..I..think..I’ll be right back” I rushed out of the sitting room.

That was so awkward!

I let out a shaky breath when I got to the entrance of my be-droom.

I was so lost of Words! Oh God! I can’t do this! I can’t confess to Kate!

“All you have to do is build up your self confidence” My stepmom voice whispered at the back of my mind.

Yeah! She had given me a Confession Lecture in the Kitchen Yesternight.

“Make use of the tactics i told you. I’m sure Katherine won’t hide her feelings” My stepmom said to me before I stepped out to bring Katherine in.

I reached for the sheet of paper in my pocket. I had searched the Internet to learn more before going to be-d.

I’d written some points down too.

I’ve taken out time to get to know her as a close friend before deciding to progress to something more. Kate and I are close now and we’ve spent some time together over the past weeks.

“Consider giving her a small, inexpensive gift, tell her seriously how you feel and accept her answer calmly” I recalled my stepmom words to me.

I haven’t considered he type of gift to give to Katherine.

“I can do this!” I tried to build up my courage..

Slowly I walked back to the sitting room. Kate alre-ady packed my books on the table. And I couldn’t find her books.

Kate was leaving!

“Are you leaving?” I asked

“Yes..My mom just called now” she said

“She’s back home?”

“No but she will be home soon..Probably in the evening”

“O..okay” I scratched the back of my head

“Yeah..See you on monday” she said

Kate stood up to leave

Do something Boy! She’s leaving!

“Kate..” I called at her

She faced me

“Jeffrey..I’ve always wanted to ask you something” she said

“Sure..G..ahead” I stuttered

“Did you mean it when you referred to me as..Your Girl..”

I exchanged glances with her as I scratched the bridge of my nose.

“I’ve been wondering if you..only said it to make Joseph stay away from me” she added

“I meant everything I said that day” I admitted

“Well..but..you know am not your girl”

She fiddled with her f!ngerswithout looking at me.

This is my chance!

“Do you want to be my girl?” I said boldly but calmly

Kate gave me a surprised look. She tried to speak up but it seems her voice failed her.

“There’s always a point in life when you have a burning de-sire to be with someone. Someone you find very attrac-tive and someone you find very interesting. Its falling in love. And loving someone can be exciting and terrifying..” I said

“And its frustrating when the one you love doesn’t even notice you..Or feel the same” Kate said in a low tone.

Kate thinks I don’t love her?!

I stepped forward to cover the gap between us.

“There’s a feeling in my heart, I just can’t deny it. My heartbeats reminds me of it trills and how I’m drawn to be with you. I just can’t deny this..”

“So..can I love you?” I asked

We were incredibly close. A shiver ran down my spine as I waited for her response.

Suddenly Kate made a move on me. She leaned up and herl-ips crashed on mine. It was obvious I was expecting a k!ssfrom Kate, so it took me a second to adjust and I pu-ll-ed her to myself. I places my hands on her w@!st as she wra-pped her arms around my n£¢k to de-epen the k!ss.

Seconds cli-cked by, and I never wanted it to end but really I have to break the k!ss. I drew back and k!$$£d the lower p@rt of herl-ips.

“Kate all I need is just a chance to prove the great stuffs I’m made of..You won’t regret it” I rested my forehead on hers.

“My heart loves you alre-ady Jeffrey” she said with a hvge smile on herl-ips. I almost bur-sted of happimess at her words.

“I can’t deny that I Love You Jeffrey” she bit her lowerl-ips.

“I Love You Too” I k!$$£d herl-ips quic-kly again.

“So..Can we..d@t£?” I said amidst the quic-k k!ss.

Kate nodded with a bright smile.

Then I hvgged her!

“Thank you!”

I realized that confessing to Kate wasn’t as h@rd as I thought!

I took the bold step!
