Eager Nanny Reluctant Wife - Season 1 Episode 43
Josephine had a training course at 8:00 am. that lasted an hour and a half. Afterward, she had to reach the Hayes residence. by 10:00a.m. for her piano tutor job.
She had her morning all planned out.
Josephine finished her course at the training institute on time and arrived at the Hayes residence with seven or eight
minutes to spare.
Just like the last time, Yvette was already waiting for Josephine.
The little girl beamed the moment she saw Josephine walk through the door. She bolted down the stairs and hurled herself at Josephine, exclaiming, “You’re here, Ms. Yeager! I’ve missed you so much!”
Josephine caught Yvette and smiled gently, nodding as she said, “I’ve missed you too, Yvette.”
Josephine rubbed Yvette’s head dotingly, and her gaze was gentle as she asked, “Have you been practicing your piano?”
As usual. Yvette’s hair was styled in braids woven around the crown of her head. She was also wearing a princess dress. Grinning, she gazed up at Josephine and said confidently, “I have! Come on, Ms. Yeager, let’s go to the piano room, and I’ll show you how well I can play the song!”
Josephine replied, “All right.”
They went upstairs together.
After they entered the piano room, Yvette took her seat in front of the piano and began to play “For Elise,” the arrangement Josephine had taught her last week.

Granted, Yvette’s skills needed improving compared to Josephine’s, and she could not quite deliver the emotions behind the song, but she did well.
When Yvette was done playing, Josephine immediately applauded her little performance and remarked with a smile, “Well done. Yvette!”
Yvette beamed. She loved it when Josephine praised her.
Following that, Josephine took over. She sat in front of the piano and played “For Elise” from the top, then patiently guided. Yvette on the parts where she could have done better.
Two hours flew by before either one of them realized it.
Josephine was about to leave when she stumbled upon Christopher sitting on the living room couch downstairs.
Josephine had been Yvette’s piano tutor for two years, and it wasn’t the first time she had seen Christopher in person. Courteously, she greeted, “Good day. Mr. Hayes.”
Christopher hummed in acknowledgment.
At that moment, Yvette, who had come downstairs with Josephine, shouted happily, “Daddy!”
She bounded toward the couch. Christopher habitually picked her up and sat her in his lap. “Did you miss me?”
“Yes!” Yvette replied enthusiastically with a vigorous nod. She asked Christopher curiously, “When did you get back, Daddy?”
Christopher left for a business trip two days ago, and it had been that long since he last saw Yvette.
He held Yvette in his arms as he answered indulgently, “I only got back a while ago. I heard Ms. Yeager giving you a lesson, and I heard you playing the piano too. You’re getting better at it!”

Chapter 43
As Yvette was pleased to hear this, she said to Christopher proudly, “Of course!” In an attempt to credit Josephine’s hard work, she did not forget to add, “Oh, Daddy, I joined the Sloummont Youth Piano Competition and won first prize! It’s all thanks to Ms. Yeager. You’ve got to reward her!”

Christopher nodded. “You’re right. She does deserve a reward for that.” He looked at Josephine then and said, “Thank your hard work, Ms. Yeager. Yvette has made such great progress because of you. Now, then, what reward would you like?”
The casual inquiry came with a solemn promise as though he would give Josephine anything she wanted.
A serene smile tugged on Josephine’s lips as she said, “You’re too kind, Mr. Hayes. Rest assured. I’m just as happy about Yvette’s improvement as you are. I don’t have to be rewarded for doing my job. If anything. I should be the one thanking you!”
Christopher was the one who handled the problems that came up at Jonathan’s company. Josephine just could not thank him for it because she had not seen him before that day.
“Thank you, Mr. Hayes, for what you’ve done to help my Uncle Jonathan,” she said gratefully.
Christopher’s gaze softened as he said to Josephine, It was nothing. Please don’t hesitate to come to me for help in the future, Ms. Yeager. By the way, I wonder if it might be convenient for you to give Yvette more lessons. I’m sure you can tell how much she’s taken to you. More importantly, you’ve proven yourself as a good piano teacher.”

As things were, Yvette had a weekly two–hour lesson with Josephine. Christopher hoped Josephine might come in during the weekends to give Yvette her lessons, with each lesson lasting four hours at least.
It would be better if Yvette could learn more.

“If that works for you, Ms. Yeager, we can discuss the remuneration. Perhaps we can increase your current hourly rate or work out a higher pay.”
Josephine refused Christopher without a second thought and explained. “Mr. Hayes, this isn’t about the money. Teaching piano is what I do while juggling other jobs. I’m a nanny and a nanny trainer at the nanny training institute, and I’m contractually employed in both capacities.”
In other words, Josephine’s schedule was full.
Whatever little breathing space she had, she used for picking up design lessons. Being a designer was her dream, and she would not give up on it no matter what.
She gave Christopher an apologetic look and concluded, “I’m sorry, Mr. Hayes, but a weekly two–hour lesson is all I can provide for Yvette right now.”
However, Christopher was relentless. He fixed his dark gaze on Josephine and offered, “Ms. Yeager, if you’re willing to quit your jobs as a nanny trainer and a nanny, I’ll pay you twice the wages you earn from those jobs. As for your employment contracts, it would be no hassle for me to settle them for you if you’d like.”
If she went through with this offer, all she would have to do was focus on being a piano tutor, and she would also be making more money too. In addition to that, she would have more time to dabble in design, which was a boon. However, Josephine did not think her service as a piano tutor was worth the salt.
More importantly, her contract as a nanny for the Levine family was not so easily terminated.
With that in mind, Josephine shook her head and said firmly. “I’m sorry, Mr. Hayes, but my schedule is really full, and I can’t make time for more lessons.”
Christopher glanced at Yvette, who looked crestfallen. The sadness was clearly written all over her little face.
Yvette reached out and tugged on Josephine’s shirt. Looking up at Josephine dejectedly, she asked, “Do you not like me at all, Ms. Yeager?”
“Of course I like you!” Josephine was quick to dismiss the child’s concerns. She gave Yvette a loving smile and added affirmatively, “You’re a clever, sensible, and beautiful child. How could I not like you? You’re absolutely delightful.”
