Eager Nanny Reluctant Wife - Season 1 Episode 33
Charles was just a fledgling. He could not possibly pick a fight against the Levine family.
“Oh, what are we going to do?” bawled Tatiana’s mother, her sobs nearly rendering her incomprehensible. “If you have no options, are you going to watch as your sister is hauled off to jail? Although it’s only for three months, we’ve pampered her since she was young! How is she going to tolerate living in prison?”
Tatiana’s father also felt sorry for his daughter.
He looked at Charles and said, “Isn’t Josephine your girlfriend from before? She’s now a nanny working for the Levine family. Thanks to her efforts, Josephine managed to save the Levine family’s twins. Charles, maybe you should seek out Josephine and ask her to appeal to the Levine family for a
favor.”
“Yes!” replied Tatiana’s mother. “We understood what Lydia said. Josephine seems to be someone important in the Levine family. As long as she can help us put in a good word for Tatiana, then perhaps Mr. Levine will rescind the lawsuit. Tatiana will be fine.”
Charles’s expression darkened.
He could not possibly plead with Josephine over this.
He glanced at Tatiana’s parents and said, “I’ll try to think of something, but don’t expect too much of me.”
Tatiana’s parents replied, “Okay, okay! Charles, as long as you are willing to find a way, this will work! You are always the most promising person in our family.”
Because of this incident, Charles dialed Quinlyn’s number immediately.

When Charles met Quinlyn, he told her about what had happened to Tatiana and expressed his hope that Quinlyn could ask the Lambert family to intervene on Tatiana’s behalf.
Quinlyn flatly refused.
She looked at Charles gently and said, “Charles, I’m just an illegitimate daughter of the Lambert family. I’m sure you’re aware of this. Anything I say holds no sway in the Lambert family.”
Charles was rendered speechless.
“Charles, my father is willing to accept me and take me back into the Lambert family. However, this comes with conditions. He hopes that I will be with you. “Besides, haven’t you met my father, Charles?”
The Lambert family was an influential family of Sloummont, but they had little to do with the Lambert family branch Valeria hailed from. Both branches were distant relatives of each other and did not have a strong relationship to rely on.
Valeria’s father, George, was good at making money and had decent business acumen. After coming to Sloummont, he started his own business.
However, regardless of the circumstances, George was wealthy, but he was not an educated man.
Ragnar became very angry when Valeria hired people to hurt Josephine the last time. In a fit of rage, Ragnar pushed George’s company to the brink of bankruptcy.
Eventually, the illustrious branch of the Lambert family came forward to solve this matter. The price George had to pay was surrendering ten percent of his company’s shares to the Lambert family.
George thought it was also a good thing.
However, George didn’t expect such an illustrious family like the Lambert family to seem strong on the outside but weak on the inside. The Lambert family appeared perfectly prestigious, but in fact, they had long been seriously short on funds.
It was the Lambert family who floated the idea to George in the first place.
Bradley’s eldest son, Miguel, then met up with Charles in private.
It was also during the first meeting with Miguel that Charles found out that Miguel had an illegitimate child named Quinlyn. Charles had also discovered. Miguel’s plan.
“Charles, you and Valeria are engaged to be married, and you are the vice president of the company!” said Quinlyn. “George also trusts you now. As long as you can take complete control of the company, we can then be together openly and be a part of the Lambert family.”
“As for your cousin, it’s only a three–month sentence,” added Quinlyn thoughtfully. “When Josephine comes out of prison, I think we would have completed the necessary formalities. Isn’t it better that we give compensate her when the time comes?”
“On the contrary, if I ask the Lambert family to intervene on your cousin’s behalf, my father might agree to help if I ask him. However, it would be bad if George noticed that you had dealings with the Lambert family in private,” said Quinlyn after a pause.
Charles nodded.
For the sake of his marriage, he decided to not intervene on Tatiana’s behalf.
On the other end, at the Levine mansion, Ragnar was speaking to Josephine. That night, Ragnar reminded Josephine of what day it was tomorrow. “Grandma will arrive tomorrow. When are you going to move here?”

Josephine thought that if she could drag it out, she was going to drag it out as much as she could.

Josephine lowered her head and said, “I’ll stay in your room when she comes tomorrow.”
Ragnar nodded.
Then the next morning, when Josephine woke up, she saw Conner and Lydia standing outside her door. They were waiting for her.

Josephine was startled.
She glanced at the pair who were waiting for her and said, “Conner? Lydia? Why are you here?”
Conner replied, “Mrs. Levine, Grandma Diana will arrive at the house in the afternoon. Mr. Lewis asked us to help you pack your belongings in the house and move all your clothing and daily necessities into his room.”
Lydia also smiled and nodded. “Indeed.”
She then asked Josephine, “Mrs. Lewis, please take a look around. Do you have anything else but your clothes and daily necessities? When I help you move in, we’re going to have this place locked up.”
There was nothing else in this house except for some of Josephine’s clothes, her daily necessities, her phone charger, and her suitcase for when she was working as a nanny. This aside, nothing else remained.
Lydia smiled and said, “Mrs. Lewis, you can go downstairs for breakfast first. You will be quite busy later. Just go to work when you’re expected to be there. However, Mr. Levine has specified that he wishes for you to return earlier and have dinner with him and Grandma Diana.”
Josephine said, “Okay.”
When she had breakfast and left the Levine mansion, she still felt a little uncomfortable about the situation.
Josephine was not used to waking up the next day and being addressed so respectfully. Now, everyone working at the mansion referred to her as “Mrs. Lewis“.
On top of not being used to it, Josephine also felt a little nervous. After all, Diana was going to be visiting tonight. Josephine wondered what kind of elderly person Diana was.
“Is she someone of benign countenance? Or is she something else entirely?” wondered Josephine.
At 4 p.m., Josephine finished her work.

She left the company and walked to the nearby subway station. Josephine was going to take the subway back to the nearest station to the Levine mansion and walk back to the Levine mansion from there.
She usually commuted this way, and tonight was no exception.
But soon after Josephine left the company, an old woman with white hair suddenly felt uncomfortable and lost her balance after feeling faint.
With a loud “ouch“, the woman gently landed on the ground.
Josephine immediately ran over and asked, “Ma’am? Are you okay?”
The old lady looked at Josephine with bright eyes. She was hale and hearty, giving off a radiant aura that felt confident. Her face also did not show any signs of illness or discomfort.
Although the elderly woman was dressed plainly, she was also very neat. Her clothes did not seem to be from famous brands, but they looked more like custom–made clothing.
She held Josephine’s hand tightly with one hand and leaned her head against her other hand. “Young lady, I think I have low blood sugar.”
“I feel uncomfortable and dizzy,” said the old woman after a pause.
Josephine recalled that she had some candy in her backpack.
“Please wait a moment, ma’am.”
Josephine took out the candy from her backpack, carefully peeled off the wrapper, and pushed it toward the old woman’s lips. “I think you will feel a little better after eating this.”
After the old woman ate the candy, Josephine helped her sit down on the steps. “Are you feeling any better?”
The old woman shook her head.
