Eager Nanny Reluctant Wife - Season 1 Episode 16
Josephine asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I think I offended Mr. Levine!”
Jonathan told Josephine that he met Ragnar at the bar and went up to talk to Ragnar. Jonathan hoped to get Ragnar’s help with his tiny company for her
sake.
But he did not tell Josephine that he wanted to sell the latter.
“Josie, you also know that I have had a hard time setting up the company over the years, and the company has just begun to improve a little these years. Yennefer will be able to live better if only my company does better. I don’t know how I have offended Mr. Levine.”
Jonathan begged in a low voice, “Josie, considering I’ve taken care of you over the years, please talk to Mr. Levine for me. Mr. Levine has such a big company. If he can give me a little helping hand, my company will surely become better.”
Josephine was furious. “Uncle Jonathan, what did you do? I can’t help you with this. I’m just a nanny who works at his house. It’s inappropriate for me to speak to him!”
That night, Ragnar came back with a stony face.
He glanced at Josephine and said sarcastically, “Do you know that Jonathan came to see me today?”
Josephine nodded. “Uncle Jonathan called me and said he is sorry for saying the things that offended you. Mr. Levine, for my sake, please don’t take it personally.”
Ragnar looked at Josephine coldly. “Do you know what he said to me?”
Josephine shook her head.
Ragnar sneered, “Then, why did you plead for him?”
Josephine told Ragnar, “Regardless of what he said, he is my uncle. He is family.”
“Humph!”
Ragnar looked at Josephine with his dark eyes and said, “If I remember correctly, you were in such a mess that night because of your so–called family, weren’t you?”
Josephine was speechless.
“Yes, but he is still my aunt’s husband. I don’t want to make things difficult for her.”
Ragnar felt that Josephine was either so good at scheming and concealing things that he could not see through her, or she was a total fool.
He did not want to talk with Josephine anymore.
He just told Josephine coldly, “Know your place. You are a nanny I hired to watch my kid. Don’t give yourself too much credit.”
Then, he turned around and left.
Shortly after that day, Jonathan’s company had problems.
Jonathan was terribly stressed.
He was busy socializing every day, but the company lost one order after another, and this cost Prigold Corporation a great deal.
That day, Jonathan went back home drunk after socializing with others. Jonathan held Yennefer and began to cry, “Yenny, do you know how hard it is for
me? I just want you to live a good life! This is so we can have a better future. Why? Tell me, why is it so difficult?”
Chapter 16
Jonathan drank too much.
That night, he vomited badly.
He cried like a hurt child. “If only Ragnar could give the orders, everything can be solved. Even if he doesn’t help me, he shouldn’t hurt me!”
Jonathan mumbled, “I said something wrong in the bar that day and offended him.” Then, he fell asleep.
Yennefer looked at him for a long time and finally decided to call Josephine.
“Aunt Yennefer?”
Yennefer did not know how to begin, but she could not keep quiet about it. “Josie, it’s about the matters in Jonathan’s office. I didn’t want to call you, but Jonathan said that he offended Ragnar in the bar. Could it be Ragnar who deliberately suppressed Jonathan’s company? Josie, can you ask Mr. Levine? If Jonathan offended Mr. Levine, I can apologize to him. I hope he can let this go.”
Josephine was surprised to learn about everything. She thought, “Mr. Levine won’t suppress Uncle Jonathan’s company over a small matter.”
She had to agree to Yennefer’s request, “Don’t worry, Aunt Yennefer, I’ll ask Mr. Levine.”
Then, she waited for Ragnar to come back to the mansion.
Josephine knocked on the door of his study and walked in. “Mr. Levine, are you the one who is making things difficult for my uncle’s company?”
Ragnar frowned.
Josephine continued, “Uncle Jonathan may have said something to make you unhappy, but as the CEO of an enormous company, there’s no need for you to take it out on his small company.”
She continued, “His company is now going through bankruptcy just because you were displeased with him. Mr. Levine, I know I shouldn’t say anything, and I am not in any position to do so. But if Uncle Jonathan offended you, I’ll apologize on behalf of him. Please don’t be petty to my uncle. Okay?”
Ragnar looked at Josephine with his dark eyes and said, “You really are in no position to say anything. Your duty is to take care of Danny and Manny well. Don’t bother me with these messy things, except for matters related to the children.”
Josephine was stunned.
“I’m sorry,” she apologized.
Then, she lowered her head and said, “I overstepped the mark.”
On Saturday, Josephine came to one of Merlingham’s mansions in Sloummont on time at two o’clock in the afternoon as usual.

A seven–year–old girl in a princess dress with two braids immediately ran over with a smile when she saw Josephine.
She stopped in front of Josephine.
The little girl looked up and said with a smile, “I looked at the time and knew that Ms. Yeager should be here, so I came out to wait for you!”
“Okay.”
Josephine nodded.
She looked at the little girl with gentle eyes and stroke her head. “Yvette, I haven’t seen you for a week. How’s your piano playing?”
“I practice every night. I should have improved!”
Yvette said confidently, “Ms. Yeager, let’s go to the piano room now. I’ll play it for you.”

Chapter 16
“Okay”
Josephine and Yvette went to the piano room together.
This was another part–time job for Josephine.
Christopher was the head of the family. His wife died shortly after giving birth to Yvette. Christopher was the only one left to raise Yvette.
Christopher was 32 years old and mature.
Josephine only knew that he seemed to be the boss of a company and had a good family background. And she knew him by his surname, Hayes.
She had taught Yvette for about two years.
So far, Josephine and the head of the family had met only several times, but Yvette really liked Josephine.
Josephine did not know that Christopher was actually the heir of the rich Hayes family in Sloummont and the CEO of Hayes Group.
She also did not know that Christopher had a younger brother named Casper, who was a comrade of Ragnar.
Josephine was very satisfied with Yvette’s homework after checking it.
“Come on, let me play a song for you, Yvette.”
Yvette got up.
It was Josephine’s turn to sit in front of the piano.
Her slender fingers went across the black and white keys of the piano and played gently. An elegant and beautiful tune immediately filled the room.
The afternoon sun was just right.
The mottled rays shone gloriously on Josephine’s fair face.
She was wearing a long white dress.
She looked like a fairy as she sat there playing the piano. It was so pure that anyone who saw her would find it hard to turn away.
Casper happened to be here.
He heard the piano and went upstairs.
He heard the beautifully played “For Elise.” As he stood by the door, the scene in the room caught his eye.
He immediately took out his phone and took a picture.
He sent the photo to his pal, Ragnar, and immediately sent a text to him: [See? This beauty made my heart throb.]
A servant passed by.
Casper asked, “Who is she?”
The servant looked at Josephine and said, “Mr. Hayes, she is Ms. Hayes‘ piano teacher. She has taught Ms. Hayes for two years.”
Casper’s eyes were full of interest.
He dismissed the servant.
Then, he immediately took out his phone and sent another message to Ragnar: [This beauty is my niece’s piano teacher! First come, first served. Wish me luck in courting her!]

Tue, 4
In the Levine Group’s office, Ragnar stared at the multiple messages that came in,
His face darkened, and he thought, “This woman actually went to the Hayes family to become a tutor! How much money does she need?”
Or it could be for another reason.
