Eager Nanny Reluctant Wife - Season 1 Episode 14
Yennefer knew that the reason for Josephine’s sudden move out would never be like what Samantha had told her.
She was relieved when she heard Josephine say it was because of the latter’s work.
Still, she was slightly worried.
She thought the Levine family was high and mighty and wondered if Josephine would be punished if Josephine accidentally made a mistake while working.
Besides, Josephine would live in the Levine mansion.
Since Yennefer’s parents and Nancy passed away, Yennefer had been taking Josephine with her and had long regarded Josephine as her own child.
As the saying went, mothers would never stop worrying when their children traveled far from home.
Josephine would still be in Sloummont. However, she had always been following Yennefer. How could Yennefer be at ease when Josephine suddenly moved out like that?
Yennefer asked, “Josie, tell me the truth. Did Samantha say those unpleasant words to you again when I was on a business trip?”
Josephine broke into a smile. “Even if I told you she didn’t, you wouldn’t believe me, would you?”
Yennefer was rendered speechless.
Just when she was about to say something, Josephine had already spoken out first. “Aunt Yennefer, what Aunt Samantha said will not affect me. Instead,
you…”
Josephine told Yennefer that she had long wanted to move out. It happened that the job offered by the Levine family enabled her to stay far away from
Samantha.
“Aunt Yennefer, I decided to move out long ago hoping you can find your happiness. But is it possible? Even without me, Aunt Samantha…”
Josephine asked, “Does it make you feel suffocated to have such an overbearing mother–in–law in your family? Also, Aunt Yennefer, is Uncle Jonathan still the same man who used to be so kind to you and loved you so much from the beginning?”
Words eluded Yennefer.
Josephine used to think that perhaps everything would get better when she moved out, and Yennefer could get pregnant and have a baby.
By then, Yennefer might really be able to receive Samantha’s kind treatment and always be in love with Jonathan as ever, continuing the happiness she always wanted and was reluctant to let go of.
But when Josephine thought of what Samantha and Jonathan had done, her eyes immediately turned cold.
She continued to ask, “Aunt Yennefer, if it still doesn’t work in the end, you will get yourself out of that house, right?”
Yennefer did not answer her.
It was because she did not have an answer at that moment.
Josephine did not press the matter further but said with a smile, “Don’t worry, Aunt Yenneler. I’m not a child anymore. I can take good care of myself. Although the Levine family is a rich and powerful family in Sloummont, it’s not as complicated as the TV series and those novels here, and they don’t constantly want to shoot someone to death. The people here are well–educated and easy to get along with. I’m only here to work. As long as I can take good care of the twins, I will not be punished. I will have a handsome reward instead.”
Josephine told Yenneler on the phone, “I can make a lot of money from this job. Together with my previous savings, I can soon buy a house in Sloummont. Aunt Yennefer, you can rely on me and also be your backup! If… I mean, if you want to leave that house or if Uncle Jonathan makes you sad top, you can come to me at any time.”
Chapter 14
Yennefer’s eyes turned red, and her voice was choked with emotions as she spoke. “Sure. You have really grown up, Josie.”
After hanging up the call with Josephine, Yennefer left the little garden downstairs and returned to the house.
When Samantha saw her coming back, she began to sneer and curse again, “Huh! I thought you ran away after slamming the door and left. I’m still thinking it’s not so bad. Since the one who can’t have a baby left, I can finally find another woman for my son. With my son’s current ability, he can get any beautiful and virtuous woman. The most important thing is she can have a baby!”
Yennefer remained silent and pretended she couldn’t hear it at all.

Seeing that Yennefer was returning to her room again, Samantha grabbed her and said, “Can’t you hear me? Are you deaf, or did your parents not teach you well? Your parents-”

Yennefer said with a cold face, “Samantha, I’m fine with whatever you say about me. But please don’t talk about my parents.”
She looked like she was going to lose her temper.
Samantha was shocked and smacked her lips.
Then, she looked at Yennefer with a more malicious gaze. “What? Did I say anything about your parents?”
Yennefer stopped talking.
She was about to turn around and enter the room again.
Samantha dragged her. “What are you doing in the room? Jonathan is getting off work. Shouldn’t you go into the kitchen and make him some delicious meals? I had been taking care of Jonathan when you were on a business trip. Now that you’re back, do you still want an old folk like me to take care of the both of you?”
Yennefer looked at Samantha and said, “Samantha, no one can tell you are old when you go square dancing or scrambling for things in the shopping
mall.”
Hearing that, Samantha was shocked and looked at Yennefer in disbelief.
Since Jonathan married Yennefer, Yennefer had always been obedient. Even if Yennefer disobeyed Samantha, she had never talked back to the latter.
However, Yennefer changed drastically that day.
When Samantha thought it might be because of Josephine’s sudden move–out, she felt like she was somewhat in the wrong and wondered, “Did Josephine tell Yennefer something? Is that why….
Just when Samantha was about to beat around the bush to ask about that, Yennefer had already walked toward the kitchen and prepared the meal.
Samantha instantly acted smugly again..
She stood at the kitchen door and supervised Yennefer picking and washing the vegetables and cooking. Not only did she not mean to help, but she also
took out a snack to eat.
While enjoying the snack, she continued to lecture Yennefer, “You’re in a bad mood today, so i won’t argue so much with you. But you still have to be serious about having a baby. By the way, did you ask Josephine? Are you not going to do something about it and let her run away with a wild man?”
When Jonathan returned from work at night, Samantha pulled him into the room as soon as he entered the house and said, “Jonathan, your wife is so terrible now! You have no idea how she scolded me today. You see, she herself is infertile…”
Jonathan felt his head throb.
He looked at Samantha and comforted her, “Mom, Yenny may be too stressed at work and upset about Josie moving out. Don’t bother with her.”
When it was time for dinner, Jonathan asked Yennefer about Josephine, “Yenny, did you ask Josie about her moving out? The man who came to help her
move was….
Chapter 14
Yennefer replied, “He’s not her boyfriend.”
She told Jonathan that the man who came to help with Josephine’s house moving was the bodyguard of the Levine family, Josephine was hired as the Levine family’s nanny and moved to the Levine mansion because of her work..
“So they are the Levine family.” Jonathan suddenly had an idea in mind.
He thought, “The Levine family is the core of Sloummont and in charge of Slourmont’s economic lifeline. If Ragnar can do me a favor… Let’s not say it’s a favor. As long as Ragnar can speak up for me and I can get a little benefit from him, my company will definitely go up to the next level!”
Thus, Jonathan immediately said, “Josie working for the Levine family is definitely a good thing that others can only dream of but can’t ask for. It’s also a great joy for our family! Yenny, call Josie and ask her to make time and come back someday. When the time comes, we’ll treat her to a meal and celebrate this happy event!”
